This camera has had a lot of glowing reviews from within the industry. All the items such as 10 shot s per second and low light capabilities are well founded. Since I have had the camera, I have taken indoor shots using auto-ISO feature and pulled portraits at 51,200 ISO. No it's not recommended but the test proved that you get a great photo even at such a ridiculous high ISO number. The camera is worth purchasing whether you are a keen amateur or like me a professional that has some physical issues like holding heavy weights and/or the grip causing hand pain/cramp whilst holdig for extended periods of time. The ergonomics and other excellent features makes this the best DX camera I have used and as it uses the same technology as the FX D5 version,

Given my budget I thought for a long time between the buying the D500 or getting the full frame D750 and yes this is a lot of money for a crop sensor camera but the technology inside is the same as Nikon’s latest flagship full frame cameras the D5 and D850 so you are getting a lot of very high end features for a fraction of the cost. If you have used Nikon dslr’s previously you will be up and running in no time as the D500 sticks pretty much to the same layout with a few exceptions and additions. One of the most useful additions is the small joystick on the back which makes choosing the exact focus point a fast and simple task,

I debated whether I should get the D500 or the D750 – in the end, the better build quality, better AF and slightly more ergonomic control layout tipped the balance in favour of the D500. The new joystick on the back for focus point selection is a revelation – it makes focus point selection so much faster. The ISO performance of the sensor is incredible – I’ve taken some night pictures at 50000 ISO and they’re eminently usable. The AF focusses in next-to-no light as well – even when I can’t see clearly! Having one SD and one XQD card might be an inconvenience to some users, but if SD is all you have the camera will work perfectly well.10fps, 4k video, beautiful viewfinder – just buy it!

I've had this camera for a couple of weeks now and without doubt it is the best DX format camera available today. Solid build quality with plenty of options to "play" with. Ideal for sports and nature photography where its fast focus system, low light performance and 10 frames per second make it a winner.

Purchased as an upgrade from the Nikon D3400, absolute amazing DSLR, Outstanding auto focus, My wildlife photography is now on another level, Only downside is instead of two sd card slots it has one sd and one qxd card slots, Well worth the money though.

A big step up from my D5300, basically a computer that takes outstanding photos. I think it's going to take a while before I'm completely confident in it's use, but the learning journey will be fun!

This is a fantastic high end APS-C DSLR. Packed with features, fantastic quality on the RAW files and 4k video is a big bonus (high bitrate too!)

very quick camera 10 frames a second fast auto zoom loads of setting to customise not too heavy to use and carry about.

Brilliant upgrade to my old Nikon D7200. Tilting screen and excellent autofocus system a great improvement.
