I have used Nikon cameras for years as a hobby photographer, this new D3500 pushes the budget level DSLR into new areas, very lightweight, but quality built as ever. Intuitive and simple to use, image quality when used with Nikkor lenses (I have the standard 18-55mm and the 70-300mm zoom) is excellent for this money. Nikon’s SnapBridge app is superb and transfers images to your phone/tablet instantly once set up, it just works, unlike Lumix. The only minor criticisms would be the screen does not black out automatically when you look through the viewfinder, and the it is not touch sensitive but hey? you won’t get better quality than this for the price. Excellent.

Brilliant camera, easy to setup and use. The menu system is very intuitive making a range of more complex features easily accessible. The included lens has great functionality and I’ve found lots of cheap accessories to kit it out including flash, filters and remote. The iOS app is easy to use for taking remote pictures from phone and easily transferring files with the in built WiFi feature. All round a great price and fantastic camera for a beginner.

Fantastic piece of kit. This is my first digital SLR after ditching my film kit and darkroom setup many years ago. I've hung off buying a digital SLR as to replace the quality of my old medium format cameras I thought I was going to have to spend serious money. Not so with this little beast!! Picture quality even with the cheap kit lens is superb, autofocus is immediate and hasn't let me down in the 4 weeks I've had it. Well worth every penny.

I bought this camera to re-familiarise myself with taking photos since the one I had was quite old, didn’t have many features and hadn’t been used in a while! The photos are gorgeous and the camera is user friendly and has a guide to tell you the basics for different settings. I’ll be taking it with me to do a beginners photography course in a few weeks and hope to get plenty more experience and photos!

This is a great compact camera that everyone can use to build your skills as a photographer. Picture and video quality is amazing with the 18-55mm lens that comes with it! At first it can be quite daunting to get comfortable with the features but with YouTube on our side I learn within a few daysI can’t recommenced this camera enough! Invest in the best to start your own projects :)

This is not my first Nikon, I have had Nikon’s in the past but for what the camera is like you can’t moan at the price, it takes clear sharp photographs and would recommend that anyone who wants a camera to buy this one. Took some amazing photographs of nature, landscape and also my dog. Would highly recommend

Easy to set up and use for the first time...most people will just use the auto settings and this will give great photos...do use the manual mode as well as this can be rewarding when im more challenging situations. ...all in all ..a good piece of kit but you will need a longer zoom lens on many occasions. .

Brought this for myself as a starter proper dslr camera. Only been out a few times with it so far but very happy with the results. Great image quality, kit lense is fine for most occasions. There isnt an instruction manual with it but I found plenty of YouTube videos that took me through everything.

I had a Nikon d3400 and the picture quality does not differ a great deal but then both are great cameras. Where this one benefits is from the extra features such as WiFi and the adjustable flip screen. Its a shame it does not operate on snapbridge but the new ap is just as good.

I've bought this camera for my wife . Great pictures easy to use, easy to sync with your phone through Wifi ( just download wireless mobile utility app :-) and within several seconds u got your all photos on the phone . Would highly recommend this camera

Love this camera. My first DSLR and luckily did a photgraphy intro course otherwise would be a little tricky to take good photos as it is not as easy as mobile phone camera. My teacher said it is a great starting camera. Will buy more lenses.

One of best beginners cameras Iv used. Gives me high quality shots in all weather condition, day and night. I upgraded from D3400 to D3500. I so think Nikon has has done good job. Thank you Nikon and thank you Argos for great price.

This is my second DSLR, its great, and works smoothly, great picture quality and superb frame rate. Recording is great and I love the little effects on the wheel, that's a cool touch. Small and compact, perfection.

This is a great camera for a starter into DSL’s camera. The auto mode is great use the manual controls are easy to master. It light weight which makes it a good camera for travel. I would recommend this is camera

Bought this for my Son who never used a DSLR camera before. He oicked it up and started to use it adjusting settings no problem at. Not printed any out yet but have not doubt we will not be disappointed.
