Got this for Xmas, with 2 lenses. Took a while to get used to it, lots of functions to play with, a introduction to DSLR. According to all camera magazine it's a poor camera, I feel there are a lot of people out there are that if you don't spend thousands of pounds on a camera then the pictures you take are rubbish. I have stopped buying any camera magazine for that reason, there are a lot of what I would call snobbery in action, I have been out with my camera and feel I am looked down upon by other photographers, just having the base model. Disappointed there is no flash mounting on the top of the camera, and the fact the plastic mounting ring for the lens could turn out to be fragile.

I needed to move on from a fixed lens camera to an interchangeable model and, on recommendation, bought the EOS 4000D. I have also purchased a Cannon 75-300 lens to accompany the standard one that came with the camera. So far I have used the standard lens on a trip to an historic house and, having only just received the zoom lens, tried that out on a short trip to the edge of the wash. I am more than happy with the results. The only problems I am having are pairing the camera to my computer and android but will aim to conquer that when I have time.

I found this camera easy to put together and set up,I’d advise putting the Canon CameraConnet app on your smart phone or device before you link to the wifi and follow the app instructions.The camera itself is lightweight and comes with a handy strap which comfortably sits around the neck.I’m a real novice when it comes to photography but ive managed to get some great quality shots with the help of the different modes then it takes seconds to get your pictures onto your device and saved to view.

camera is lightweight, built in Wi-Fi connect, easily transfer pictures between camera and ur phone with one easy app, control camera using your phone through the app.good zoom and really easy to attach and deattach lens can buy different lens if needed. great for someone beginning to get used to photography. gives you hints and tips for what each setting is used for with on the dial. built in flash. can attach a external flash. only 1 downside it didn't come with a memory card highly recommend

I have the Canon EOS 1100d and was looking for something similar for my dad as a joint family gift for his special 60th. This camera was advised in numerous reviews online as a great starter in digital photography, which was just what we needed. The ease of use is good with useful inbuilt information on each setting picture quality is fantastic. The one oddity I noticed was that the on button is on the settings dial which takes time to get used to. Overall really happy with the purchase!!

I wanted a decent camera for a big holiday but I know nothing about them. A mate who knows cameras found this for me as a good half way between the professional cameras that cost thousands and a little pocket camera.I love it. It’s easy to use, easy to focus and has produced good pics. I would say the zoom isn’t amazing, but I think I probably need to buy a second lens for that. Battery life is excellent. I was using it a lot for about 9 days before the battery light started to flash.

Lovely pictures, relatively straight forward to use. Movies aren't as good as I though they would be, it is difficult to instantly capture a good movie as the focusing of the camera makes this quite tricky. But the most frustrating thing is there is no USB cable to connect it to a laptop, there is very little description of how therefore to upload pictures to your computer! The only way to do it is through a cable, yet the cable is not provided - I had to borrow a cable from a friend!

I currently have a 70D for personal use. so i recommended the 4000D to work for a cheaper alternative but still gives great quality photosThe images are crystal clear and great resolution. The battery life is more than good enough for every day use (i would suggest getting a battery pack / duel battery) if you do video recording or will be using the camera for more than a couple of hours continuallyall in all highly recommended for anyone looking for a camera for under £400

I'm in love with this camera! The body is lightweight which is excellent for me (I suffer from a pain disorder). The picture quality is superb, wonderful depth and detail and the option to adjust setting quickly. The LCD screen is great but I do feel it doesn't show the true picture quality until images are uploaded to a PC or mobile device. The WiFi option is great for transferring images to you mobile device as well. So quick! Really pleased with the camera.

The camera is lightweight & easy to use & an ideal camera for a beginner/inexperienced photographer. The picture quality is excellent as is the build quality. As part of the Canon range there are plenty of interchangeable lenses, speedlites etc so accessories are easy to acquire. I tried the camera with a number of different lenses wide angle & my go to 18-200mm & thought the camera performed very well. A good entry level camera - Lack of focusing points & limited ISO options

Great value for money. Good pic quality.The stock lens is obviously not the best, but if you buy a different lens, you'll be amazed. I have a 55-200mm and of course, a 50mm that I use the most, so it's better if you buy the body only and get some different lenses instead.Good enough for an enthusiast photographer and cheap enough.Overall, I recommend it to any beginner or to anyone that wants to take some good casual pictures but don't want to spend too much money.

As a newcomer to the world of photography I was looking for a barebones, easiest to operate, but good quality entry-level DSLR camera. This camera seemed like the perfect place to start. It is neat & tidy, lightweight - but well built. I found getting used to its functions was very easy. I’ve experienced very little problems with it so far. The only thing I am yet to discover is how well it compliments the more expensive lenses that I hope to move onto in time.

Bought as a gift. Well packaged. Camera looks smart and is ideal for something a little more than a beginner, but still an easy camera to use. Handbook explains each function and how to set up the camera. Instruction are easy to follow and get you started in a couple of seconds. Haven’t had the camera long enough to comment too much on the picture quality, but from the rest photos and what I’ve seen so far, I’m extremely happy with the quality.

GREAT Camera, have been getting so many comments of the quality of my pictures lately and its down to this camera, the wifi function is great to transfer pictures to your phone while on the go, and you can also use your phone as a remote to take pictures with, probably haven't got to play with half of the settings yet but so far so good, I also love the aperture setting as the photo's look like a pro took and edited them, all in great camera

For me, this is a great bit of kit. As someone with a passing understanding of photography, it has enough features to teach me something new but is also easy enough to just 'point and shoot' if that's what you want.The matte finish to the camera itself is sharp, and the weight is reasonable, not too light but easy enough to manipulate with one hand.The picture quality is great and the phone connection feature is also an excellent touch!
