Went on safari to Kenya.New, I had to have a good camera for the trip.Saw this offer on Amazon and sent away for it on the 20th December.The order was processed and delivery was scheduled for the 8th January 2009, 4 days before my departure.Low and behold the camera was delivered on the 24th December, giving me much needed time to practice.Being a novice photogragher, I was looking for a camera which was simple to operate. This footed the bill to a tee and more.The operation is a simple point and shoot with auto focus.The telephoto lens supplied as part of the package was invaluable both for distant shots and as a method for detecting wild life in the distance,(just like a pair of binoculars).I

If like me you just love taking pictures but arent au-fait with all the technical terms surrpunding photography, and you are wondering which camera is best look at this camera again. My sister is a photographer and knows her stuff and I just have this as my hobby. My knowledge is basic but I wanted a decent SLR and on reading lots of reviews I thought this sounded like the one for me. On receiving it I realised that maybe I had bitten off more than I can chew. However, the Sony instruction booklet is like a bible for budding photographers. It explains all the functions in easy to understand language, and if all else fails their website is fantastic. There are just as many options on this SLR,

i was looking for a digital slr for the past few years, this camera seemed to have all the functions i desired plus an additional zoom lens, i am very happy and satisifed with this camera. i used it on the day of delivery and was impressed with its ease of use and the quality of the photo taken

I bought this product after a lot of research. It is excellent value for money and very easy to use and reliable. Although this model is no longer available I would recommend any of the Alpha series cameras, especially those who want quality photos on a budget.
