I'm old school. Qualified using medium format film camera then eventually accepted the digital age using Nikons with several lenses and decent HD camcorders. But I wanted to move on. Wanted just one device to slip into my man bag capable of taking great quality pics and videos. I'm not interested in a multitude of features. I wanted a long zoom and macro and good quality video. I have had the camera for several months now. I recognise several of the criticisms mentioned by other reviewers. But the camera has done all I asked of it. I shot mostly in automatic mode in decent to fair lighting conditions. And so I have achieved the standard of photography that satisfies me.

I've only had this camera a few day and am getting used to it but will say that I have found the instruction =s supplied with the camera regarding its operation to be very bad in respect that it isn't very useful as it doesn't describe the features very well.I've been a photographer for over 40 years and have a Nikon D3 and a Nikon D4s which I love but this Panasonic is not easy to use to get the best out of it, so far.The image & video quality is very good and highly recommended for that reason.I only needed this camera as an everyday camera and for one I can take into areas where I wouldn't take my Nikon in case I got mugged for it; with the Panasonic it's small enough to put into my pocket

I have just upgraded to this from the previous model DMC-TZ100. Essentially very similar but this model has a better lens. The optical zoom has increased from 10x to 15x. The camera has a vey robust feel to it definitely a quality item. The lens itself is an engineering marvel and looks amazing when fully extended. Like the previous version this camera is perfect for portability. All the features and performance of a full sized digital camera in a pocket version. The camera features a 1” CMOS sensor for low light performance and an amazing viewfinder which shuts of the main 3” screen automatically when in use. The picture quality is outstanding both for still pictures and movies.

Lot's of in depth reviews of this camera out there which you can read about, my first camera purchase since a Fujifilm F31fd all of those years ago so for features and quality a big step up. I would have had another Fujifilm camera (I work for them) but unfortunately there's nothing on offer at the moment in this category. So for an occasional user like me it's perfect, reasonably compact and much better image quality than my Galaxy Note 3 camera that has been my long time go to. Only criticism is the manual which is poor but I have purchased a kindle book which is a better at explaining things, I would like to make full use of this camera's many options.

An expensive investment for a travel camera but quality of pictures is good. I found it easy to operate e.g. taking panoramic pictures, unlike my Bridge. Like the touch screen menus which are easy to navigate. Lots of technology like 4k video and wide angle shots to get to grips with. Comes with wi-fi which I found brilliant. Loaded all my pictures into the cloud every evening so could share with the family that day. Downside is the zoom but it's early days for cameras with a one inch sensor. Not sure it will replace my bridge as yet; will have to see.

Excellent camera. The picture quality of this camera is outstanding. There are lots of in camera filters. Very lightweight and easy to take anywhere. For the price it is an awesome camera, I am very pleased with the results. Read a lot of reviews and I can say after a couple of months using this camera, it is a 5 star purchase. If you are after an easy to use camera with outstanding results look no further this is the one.

My hubby bought this and he loves it. Very easy to use automatically but there is so much more you can do with it if you download a book.Picture quality so good that large prints can be done without any problems.So small it fits in a pocket yet provides high quality.

1” sensor makes all the different. Love that these compacts are customisable. Set up to suit each user. Being able to add a filter thread means nd gilts and polariser makes for real pro image making. Great reach and full manual control

The small compact Lumix models give great photos everytime - even with my Lumix Bridge camera in use, the TZ200 is always in my pocket ready to use. Never leave on walks etc. without it.

Previously I had a Nikon D90 but was looking for a smaller camera.Used this a lot on a European trip and it never let me down.Love the grip and the controls are all placed well.

Compact and a powerful camera for travel photography when taking a large amount of kit is not an option.Fairly light and feels nice to hold. Produces good quality shots.

Can't fault this camera for my uses. 4k video is superb and the facility to take stills from the video ensures you never miss a thing.

Compact-ish camera , but with low noise pictures, a very good step up from our previous "ordinary" compact. Worth the cost.
