I bought this to take on a week's holiday to Germany; not the most exotic of places, but I wanted a point-and-shoot camera that I could carry in my pocket wherever I went, and that would give great memories of the week. And it did.Simple as that. It's a great-looking camera, incredibly easy to use, and takes absolutely fantastic pictures. It met all of my needs and more, and considering that I am incredibly picky and it had taken 6 months to choose a camera, that was good going!I have uploaded a couple of photos which I have taken - the one of the parrots at the zoo completely amazed me when I was looking through the photos afterwards because of the sheer depth of colours captured by this camera.Bearing in mind I was just pointing and shooting, it's phenomenal! There are only two minor (and I mean minor) drawbacks that I have noticed were that it can take a second to "load" when flicking through the pictures you have taken, presumably because of the sheer detail in them, but this doesn't really affect you at all. The other is that when pulling it out of a pocket, it is possible to flick the slider to video mode from photo without noticing, so I on a couple of occasions I took a video instead of a photo, but again not an issue; you can just flick it over and you're sorted.Highly recommended, great little camera, and a fantastic price too! And of course great service from Amazon, as usual.(I would also recommend Amazon for memory cards too, far better than any prices you will find elsewhere, high street or otherwise)

The Sony DSC-W320 is one of the best small camera's I have ever used!It has many features including:-Shutter Button Focus: If you were to half press the shutter button before taking the picture, the camera automatically focus' to the most suitable way possible.-4x Optical Zoom - For those moments when you need to zoom in from long distance and still keep the capture fairly clear, this will do the job, no problem!-Face Select - The camera will "smartly" tell you when a person or many people's faces are being displayed and can even be set to capture a picture when people smile in three different ways. (Slight, Normal, Big)-14.1 Mega Pixels - It may not seem like much, but that .1 MP counts!A camera I recently used was just 14 MP and the picture quality was MASSIVELY different! This is much more worth it!-Crop and Red Eye Removal- Although you can do this on your computer, it's a great thing to if you're on the go and want to show people a picture but eliminating red-eye and/or cropping a person out!Plus many other pictures! The only negative I have is that the only way to transfer pictures off the camera is with a wire as the memory card isn't your average SD. It's difficult when you can't find the wire...That's why this has gone down to 4 stars. If you're looking to give anybody a camera or treat yourself, weather they be interested in photography or just wanting to take pictures (I'm interested in both!), this is for you! And it's reasonable price!

This is a lovely looking little camera. First impressions were that it was easy to point and shoot. Picture quality is stunning (repl.for first digital camera - 3.2 mp!). The battery is easy to charge although I would have preferred not to have to remove it from the camera. Forthe aged/technologically-challenged like myself, the array of features is both impressive and bewildering. The printed handbook is very basic. For example it tells you to format a new memory card using the camera but does not mention how to do it! However, the one included on the cd is much more comprehensive. I fear that without a lot of patience I shall not progress much beyond the point and shoot stage but this is an age thing and is in no way a criticism of the camera.I do remember feeling the same way when I first took up SLR photography so all may not be lost! To sum up ,I would highly recommend this camera for the following reasons:-1)Looks - the green is gorgeous.2)Picture quality - 14.1 MP + Carl Zeiss lens. Say no more!3)Compactness and light weight - slips easily into a shirt pocket.4)Battery - lithium, long life and easy charging.5)Features - virtually unlimited.6)Price - I doubt you will find better value for money, certainly at Amazon price.

This is a seriously beautiful camera, and the colour is just absolutely stunning. I couldn't wait to get it out of the packaging and try it out.Not only is this camera aesthetically pleasing, but- at 14MP- it takes magnificent pictures. I am yet to try taking a video, but soon intend to do so.I stupidly forgot to buy an SD memory card at the time of purchase, as I didn't realise it didn't come with one, but am currently borrowing my Dad's until I get one.Of course, that has nothing to do with the actual item- just a reminder to buy a memory card if you don't already have one!Overall, a 5/5. Beautiful. Beautiful quality. Beautiful pictures. Comes with it's own battery charger which plugs into mains,as well as a connection cable to the pc and another cable, which I assume plugs into the television due to the conjoined yellow and black plugs. If you're not sure whether to buy this camera, please do. It is a brilliant little piece of technology and I am most definitely not disappointed in the slightest. Love it!

I haven't seen many better cameras for under £100.For the beginner, it's a point and click camera that can automatically detect when you need to take a landscape shot, a portrait shot or a macro shot etc. In twilight conditions you can ask it to take two photographs, the second immediately after the first. Usually the first photo, taken with the flash in full glare is bleached as you would expect, but the second picture, taken after the flash, is much richer and more mellow than the first. The best feature by far as you can upload both pictures and choose which you like best.It also has a gimmicky feature that shoots when the person in the frame smiles but this is a little hit and miss.Battery life is better than average although the flash does seem to take drain it a little quicker than I always expect. It's really compact and a solid little camera that meets all of my needs as a backup to my digital SLR.

Having had a Sony Cybershot for some years, I trusted that the up to date one would be easy to use and similar - I really didn't want anything too fancy!Easy to use - it's fantastic - point and press! I didn't have time to practise before taking it on holiday. The quality of every picture is superb - from bees on plants, paintings on house walls or landscapes.Downloading to my computer presented a small challenge - a longer lead would mean I don't have to have the camera on the floor - and I did have to refer to the index for help, but after this I could hardly believe my eyes! All my photo files from the past were reorganised in date order and the fact that my latest photos were shown on a calendar was also amazing.I'm looking forward to trying the 'map'feature - Wow!Would I recommend it - without doubt. No doubt I will discover additional features as I go on, but for now, it will do me fine!

I am not a photographer and very definitely technically challenged! I was looking for a simple to use camera mainly for sending pictures to the grandchildren as we live a distance from them and don't see them regularly. I have found this camera perfect. It is very compact at just 3 1/2 ins long and just over 1/2 inch deep and 2 ins tall. It weighs 4.2 ozs. It slips easily into a man's top pocket and ladies don't need a capacious handbag to carry it. Once set up you really can just point and shoot and I find it takes perfectly good, clear photos. The colour reproduction is very good too. I thought it was good value for money at £109. My only disappointment is that the instructions come on a CD and have to be loaded onto your computer.I would find it very useful to have the instructions in a manual that you could carry with you until you were familiar with all the functions.

Completely on a whim, I decided to buy this camera at the airport en route to Spain for my holidays to complement my larger, more bulky Sony DSC-H2.As expected from a Sony product, it is absolutely fantastic. It is ideally sized to slip into your pocket without being too bulky but still has the capability to take sharp and colourful photos. I charged it on the first day, and even after a week and 150 photos the battery was still showing full charge. On downloading the photos to my PC today, I am delighted to say they are crisp and clear with beautiful colours. The smile sensor is fun to experiment with as it automatically takes pictures when it detects a smiling face, but I'm not sure how essential it is in everyday use.On the down side, you will have to buy a separate case and memory card, but it still makes for a cheap and convenient camera for all occasions.

I already have an SLR camera and bought this for when i'm running around and not wanting to carry a large camera with me. I have been extremely pleasantly surprised by the quality of pictures this camera produces. With the 14.1MP enlarging your pictures causes no problems. The software is clever and allows you to take great pictures effortlessly, although occasionally it can slow it down, but not enough to really bother me. The battery lasts for hours and its small, lightweight and is aesthetically pleasing. The LCD screen is good, although if you zoom in on your pictures on it they are blurry, I assume this is not a fault.I would recommend buying a screen protector as it would be easily scratched.Overall for the price I think this is a brilliant little camera and I am pleased I bought it and would recommend it to anyone considering buying it.

This is a brilliant camera, I didn't buy it here, I got it on the high street for a similar price.I bought this camera as a christmas present for my girlfriend and was shocked at just how good it was.The quality of the images is incredible and I've never seen them so crisp. I suppose you get used to phone pictures and just program your eye to expect a similar quality - but this is sensational. The smile feature is great, we've had great fun playing around with it but I don't think it's that applicable in the real world.Case of the camera feels metal and really high quality. The buttons are all in the right place and where you'd expect.I don't think you can buy a better camera for this price today.(Only four stars due to Sony's difficult and cumbersome PC software, which I'd recommend completely ignoring!).

I bought this camera on my 18th birthday with the money I received and I love it! I take it with me whenever I go out, it takes amazing quality pictures at night and in the day and I couldn't be happier. I bought the camera in November 2010 and everyone that sees it says they love the way it looks as its really thin which makes it practical for carrying around. My only small criticism with this camera is when the flash is turned off the picture quality is sometimes lowered very slightly, but this is usually down to lighting. I'm not a camera expert so I didn't know what to look for in a camera when I was hoping to buy so I tended to rely on people's reviews and I hope this helps someone make a decision! In my opinion a really good camera that takes brilliant pictures and looks nice too!

Quite small and looks very smart. Picture quality is good at 14 mega pixels (which is all I have used it at). I have left it set on smart mode and the camera selects the type of photo your taking by slightly pressing the shoot button a couple of times. Once selected then again slightly press shoot to focus and then completely press to shoot. This takes all the hassle out of setting things manually. The photos I have taken this way have all turned out fine. Landscape, closeup (macro), people, pets, night shots, very bright & sunny. The movie mode is nothing special so don't buy this camera for that function.I also have the Sony DSCW210 and I think it is a better camera because its more user friendly and the photo quality is as good at 12 mega pixels as the W320 at 14.

Just bought this camera and took it to Mexico with me, took over 600 photos with it and the quality is great, it performs excellent in low light and the interface is easy to get to grips with. The zoom is also very good, it doesn't zoom in too far, but the quality reamains even when zoomed in all the way, something you rarely see in a digital camera. My only critisism would be the AI in the camera that detects the best shot conditions can occasionally get it wrong, mostly by switching to 'Macro' mode (used for close ups), but this can easily be rectified by pointing the camera away from the subject and then back at them, refreshing the image mode.Outstanding piece of kit with a great battery life.

Producing a charity magazine, I chose this camera for anyone to use -- including children, elderly folk, and a good many technophobes. Since then, I've been given nothing but thanks. People are delighted with the astonishingly small size and weight, and with the simplicity of operation. Most important, almost every photograph that's since been submitted to me has been useable and no opportunities have been lost. For absolute simplicity of use, for dependable results under an exceptionally wide range of conditions, and for value, this camera is a great advancement on anything that's gone before. If you want to point and click and get results you'll be proud of,then you'd do well to choose this model.

This is a sweet little camera, i love the colour of it. I received it yesterday for my birthday and was not disappointed. It's 14 mega pixels, and when i tried it out yesterday, the pictures came out beautifully. It's light weight and small so could easily fit inside your pocket, i like the smile detection on it, and also the fact that it takes the pictures straight away, unlike some other cameras i've seen that have long delays.I noticed that this camera sold out fast and is quite hard to find, but it's worth buying. It's a great little thing for the money.I would highly recommend it.
