Bought used for less than £100 and in mint condition. Does everything I need. 35mm equivalent lens goes to 720mm which is longer than most will ever need. Produces good clear, sharp and well colour balanced photos. I have to admit that I just transfer them to my iPad so don’t enlarge them too much. Electronic viewfinder is a must. Just try using any camera lcd screen when in bright sunlight and you’ll see why. Am very pleased with this camera. Tilting lcd is useful occasionally. Flash works well and gives reasonable results when light levels are low. Natural light is far better of course. The lens is not the fastest at f3.5 at 24mm equivalent but in most situations is fine.

This, relatively, small camera packs a mighty punch. Crammed in its tiny frame are many features found on much larger bridge and even SLR cameras, allowing you to go from fully automatic to fully manual easily. The 18.2MP CMOS sensor, paired with the 30x optical zoom of the Zeiss lens, gives crystal clear images - even when pushing the zoom to the full 60x with the digital function. I have tried this camera from macro shots of flowers in the garden, to the full extent of the zoom and not been disappointed. The differences from the newer HX95 are minimal, making the lower price of the HX90 even more attractive. I highly recommend this camera - especially if you want a small, but powerful,

I would describe this as a camera that a keen photographer can make good use of and get very good results, despite its small size. As well as all the 'smart' settings, there is full manual control for those who know how to use them. Though quite why they didn't include RAW files is perhaps a mystery. The viewfinder I think is technology that is 'getting there' for such a compact camera, and is certainly usable and very worthwhile, if a little fiddly to open.At a range of focal lengths the image quality seems to be very impressive from looking at sections across frame at 100%.it may be a bit heavy and bulky perhaps for a shirt pocket,

This camera has all I wanted: Its compact, light weight, has a view finder and flip screen. The only point I was not happy with is that once some function is set it remains set till you re-set it.Example if you chose multiple shooting mode and don't reset it after use then the next time you use the camera the function is still set to multiple shooting.Apart from that this an ideal camera for me.

Really nice travel camera with an amazing zoom lens. Great picture quality, useful manual control features if you want them in a tiny package. Highly recommended.

Top camera for excellent price!! The optical zoom is second to none. I never believed a compact camera can have such a long zoom! It's astonishing!
