I wanted to review this item because I read so many less than glowing reviews on it here. I think they miss the point.The whole point of this mug is its safety. I can drink out of this safely while driving or at work - I dont have to look to see where the hole is as its 360 drinkable and it wont suddenly drip over me if I go over a bump and it leaves no residue liquid within the lip. I can drink at a desk or computer and if it gets knocked over and is closed it will not leak or accidentally open - even if dropped to the floor it will not leak. You could turn it upside down and shake it vigerously and nothing will come out.

I have had one of these mugs for about 18 months and it has served me very well. It is reliably leak free and easy to use. It keeps a drink hot (so you still have to blow on it) for an hour and it is still drinkable after 1hour 30 minutes - but no longer. I find this is adequate for most of my needs but if I am going somewhere where I need a longer timespan - I take a Thermax flask filled with boiling water - amazing products from Thermos which stay hot for 24 hours - and make a drink or pot noodle etc when I want something.Recently my Oxo mug struck open or would not open - as experienced by some of your reviewers. This is caused by the push button mechanism becoming worn and sticking.

I brought one of these Mugs around 6 yrs ago, its perfect for taking a hot drink when traveling in the car, fits in the drinks holder like a glove. Its such a handy Mug, that a couple of friends asked to borrow it, so when I saw them being sold on Amazon, I had to purchase 2 more...lol. Easy to clean (I put mine in dishwasher) and doesn't leak when knocked over, unless you have depressed the centre button. It will keep your drink hot for around an hour.I also have another use for it...I take it to the cinema with me, a movie, popcorn and a hot drink that doesn't spill all over me in the dark.Enjoy

This is quite an expensive mug of it's type but in my opinion it is worth every penny. I have had any number of cheap ones but they always seem to dribble and spill their contents on you when you try to drink, this one does not.The mug is excellent quality, keeps the drink hot for ages and does not spill when closed or dribble when drunk from. As long as you don't mind the cost, I would highly recommend this mug as probably the best of this kind I have come across.

A replacement for a much used three year old mug, used daily at home for nighttime cuppa. Also when I am working at home to save keep going up and downstairs for a cuppa. The original was bought in Cape Cod and is fabulous. Totally leakproof, although not officially thermal, the tea keeps hot for almost an hour. Still using the old one, this one in reserve. I looked at replacements in store, but they just didn't seem to look as good as this one. Go out and buy one.

Absolutely leak-proof when working, but I have had a problem with one that went in the dishwasher (only the approved parts) as the mechanism now sticks and is pretty much useless, and another that never went in a dishwasher has become a little sticky on the button mechanism, meaning you have to check every time that it has closed properly (it is okay if you make sure the button has come up properly).

Absolutely brilliant. My husband (who has MS) only has the use of one hand and sometimes loses his grip, hence a cup isn't always ideal. The handle is also very useful in that it hooks over his walking frame, allowing him the independence to make a coffee, bring it back to the living room safely and the assurance that if it does fall, no liquid leaks. It's more than perfect!

I've been through almost all the brands now and this is heaps better than any other. You can't expect a travel mug to keep things hot all morning, but it's good enough to keep it going for a short journey of about 40 minutes (the school run) and it never never spills or leaks! Easy to clean as well. I've never had a better one.

It is practical to carry it in the car and even in the office. It doesn't leak at all. The downside would be that on some areas of the lid the liquid doesn't come out as easy and you really need to lift the cup to be able to take a proper sip. Overall the mug is great for its safety feature.

Perfect and does not leak. An interesting concept having a 360 lip but it works and you don't get drowned by tipping it too far when you sip your beverage of choice. I like the handle design as well as their other mugs that have the different spout which are excellent too.

Keeps beverage warm for a good couple of hours.No spillage/leaks, easy to drink out of and easy to clean.Perfect for my needs (watching the kids football on a cold winters morning).

Excellent product,, leak proof, sturdy, practical,, easy to use and clean,, top product!! took a few uses to get used to it but its brilliant!

This cup is wonderful, I was looking for a cup that didn't spill while traveling in the car and walking and this one fits the bill perfectly

Good mug! No spill down my white shirt on my morning drive in. No spill if it falls over. I'm going to get another one for the missus.

This actually does seem to be leakproof, first one I've found to date. Others claim to be spill proof but still have leakage.
