I had been wanting one of these travel mugs for some time. I read all of the reviews on the various models available before making my choice. Having been delivered I did as it instructed and then made tea in it. I decided to time it to see how long it would stay hot even if I were drinking from it periodically. I got to 1hr 45 mins before I actually finished the drink and it was still very hot!! Yes it leaks very very slightly if you upturn it but there is a sticker on the product telling you it is NOT leakproof. So you cant really complain if you lay it down and it leaks!! The idea is that you are carrying it about and so therefore will remain dry.

This is my second Thermos Travel mug. My first one only being replaced after i dropped it on the floor and the handle broke off.This is great for using at work. If i have to be away from my desk for some time i can come back to a drink thats still hot. Infact its still hot an hour later.On my previous Thermos mug i did have a problem in that the drinking spout would close when i tilted the mug and had to hold it back with my finger to have a drink, but no such problems with this one.With a large capacity (0.45l) this is excellent if your out and about or in the car or like me for using at work. Just be aware that this item is NOT waterproof.

RE the first review:Yes, I wouldn't recommend it for any situations where it can be knocked over or jostled too much. The lid does not seal the liquid, though it works well at stopping heat from escaping.This is a large (450ml) mug with a plastic lid/handle and a stainless steel exterior. It is not microwave safe.The mug is nicely contoured and is easy to hold and drink from.There is a slide cap to cover the drinking orifice. The orifice itself is sufficiently large enough to allow for generous sips, yet small enough not to compromise the thermal intregrity of your beverage. Hot drinks such as tea will stay pleasntly warm for up to two hours in my experience.A worthwhile purchase if you find

I was surprised at how long this kept my tea warm for. I am hobbling around on two crutches and needed something that I could safely keep tea in without burning myself and it's just the right size to fit in these bagpack drinks holders you get.Although yes there are some spillages, you'll get that with any of these thermal cups because of the drink spout, it doesn't happen so much with this one. It was excellent to be able to have the independance to get my own tea, take it back upstairs to my work and leave it and drink it when needed. I work in a call centre and if you get a call through obviously it takes priority.It's an excellent product and keeps warm or cold drinks warm or cold for longer than you may think.

Love this product. I use it when at work so I can have a coffee whenever I like. Stays hot for at leaat 2-3 hours after a warm drink is made. You can get more than enough to drink from with the 0.45 litre mug. Love the drink through lid, which is ideal when you want a little sip from your drink. I do not agree with some other reviews saying that it splashes and spills everywhere, would you shake up a normal cup of tea/ coffee?? I don't think so!! Love this flask, and I wouldn't be without it at work!

This is not a vacuum flask. It is a foam insulated travel mug and is better than most.Put hot coffee in this mug and it's still hot enough to drink an hour later. It fits in a cup holder and any minor leaks are retained in the lid. It will leak if laid on it's side or upside down. It's not a flask.If you need a travel mug that uses vacuum technology, keeps drinks hot for 12 hours and is leakproof, Thermos does do one but it is £25.

The Mug is very good, I use it at work in my van for a minimum of four hours and it keeps my coffee relatively warm. I will say don't fill it right to the very brim because its not leak proof, but it doesn't claim to be.The delivery was poor, but that's nothing to do with the product, there had been a problem at the warehouse.The mug is larger than I expected, will easily hold two large mugs of coffee.

As mugs go, this isnt too bad to be honest.Be aware that it isn't leakproof and does state this on the mug itself (removable sticker). This is the mug for when you want something other than one of your proper mugs out of the kitchen when you're heading out in your work can. Just don't put it in your bag or anywhere it can fall over.The shape of the mug fits nicely in to a standard vehicle cup holder.

Very good mug. Makes tea taste a little odd at first although coffee is fine. Stays hot for hours as long the drinking spout is closed. without it closed stays hot for an hour or so. Very durable. My wife has already dropped it when she fell over on some ice. the lid rim is a little bulky for a small mouth but only a minor issue she says.

The Thermos Everyday 430 is a stylish, well made mug. As previous reviewers have mentioned, the mug is not watertight but with the slider closed it is splash resistant. It it therefore necessary to keep it upright but this is OK for my needs. More importantly, my cappuccino stays lovely and hot for at least 2 hours.

I love this travel mug. It has become my constant companion whenever I am out and about and almost a trademark. I have bought it as presents for friends and family. It really does keep drinks hot for ages and they taste clean because there is no contamination from the lining. I highly recommend this product.

Excellent thermos I bought one it was good so bought two more. I have only given four stars as it has to be Kept upright as they do not seal obviously because you drink from it but it’s the best I have used keeps drink hot or cold for five or so hours that’s the longest I have kept it before drinking.

It quite efficiently keeps drinks warm/cold as needed for up to three hours. It has a good capacity.However the unavoidable thickness of the lid rim can make drinking from this mug slightly awkward, but that seems to be a uiniversal problem with thermal mugs and also disposable lidded beakers'

Bought the Thermos King (of Frustration) - and bought this after a week with the most annoying lid ever designed. This screw-on lid design is perfect for that long, morning drives - not spill-proof but perfect to keep your coffee hot.Go and get one for yourself - highly recommended!

After reading several reviews I purchased. Keeps drinks very hot for at least 2 hours ensure you heat with boiling water first. Keep upright i.e. in car cup holder. Would purchase again. Excellent value for money - I love it and have saved a fortune on take away Latte's
