Since setting up my XB1 I've had the Kinect under the TV on the stand, but the proximity to my front speakers and the low viewing angle were causing problems with voice commands and motion controls respectively (the camera was struggling to get a wide enough shot of my floor to calibrate from and games like Kinect Sports Rivals wouldn't even let me play). Mounting it on the TV seemed a good solution, and unless there was a bad batch I'm really not sure why there are so many negative reviews on here.Following the instructions provided (and double-checking a youtube video to be sure it looked right) I had it tightened up and fixed to my TV no problem. Took seconds, and the Kinect actually clicked into the rectangular clip/housing perfectly. I initially put it on at a bit of an angle so popped it off again and adjusted it and now it's a secure, flat base for the Kinect to click into. Seriously, I can't see any way of this moving or slipping without grabbing it and giving it a serious shake (and that's something I try not to do to my TV anyway).I have one of the latest Samsung LEDs (so the border on the screen is about as slim as can be) and had been a bit concerned from pictures that the front part of the clip would overlap a little of the screen, but even that turned out to be unfounded as it's not even close to encroaching on my screen. Can't imagine why people are having problems, unless they're not tightening it correctly or are gripping the actual clip when making adjustments to the Kinect angle (grip the base of the Kinect itself!). I'm really pleased with it and motion controls and voice commands are working way better in it's new position (and Kinect Sports Rivals will launch, yay!). Great product, thanks.

EDIT***It seems as though they sent out the wrong item to a few people on release day. I contacted the web site and they where very helpful and sent a new part out special delivery. I'm now going to change my review to 4 stars. The clip is great and fits well. I still have a couple of concerns regarding the mount but it seems to hug the TV pretty well and doesn't look like it will fall off. I just feel it should be a tad longer.I will leave my original 1 star review as well but highlight that it's no longer needed************************************** Comments below have been sorted****************************************************************************Very disappointed with this TV Clip. The grip part of the TV Stand needs to be longer and grippier as it feels very unstable on the top of my TV. The Kinect 2 is supposed to clip onto the top of the stand but the hooks are way too short to be of use so the Kinect just rests on top of the stand and not clipped in. Who ever designed this thing obviously didn't take into account the rubber matting on the bottom of the Kinect. At the moment I have no alternative but to use this and hope and pray that the Kinect doesn't fall off the TV. Although I am emailing the manufacturer as hopefully they will be soon making a revised product.****************************************************************************************************************************************************

I bought one of these from another retailer, only to find that the Kinect did not fit the top plate of the mount... It did not click in place or fit securely. So I gave up on it and just plonked the Kinect at the base of the TV, which was hardly ideal. But then I saw some of the reviews here from people who said they contacted Orb and got a replacement that worked. Apparently the issue was down to a small number of incorrect mounts going out, which was why some people said it was awful and other people said it worked well.I contacted Orb earlier this week via their website and via their Twitter account, and received prompt replies from both. They apologised for the issue, and promised to send me a replacement top part for the mount. It arrived on Friday via Royal Mail 1st Class Signed For, and... it fits! My Kinect is now mounted securely on top of my TV.It's not as good as the mount I used for my Xbox 360 Kinect, but it does the job. I may get a different mount in future if I see one I prefer the look of, but for now this one is sufficient and is a lot better than just having the Kinect at the base of the TV.I cannot fault Orb's customer service, either. They were excellent, fast, and helpful.EDIT:Contact details for Orb -[...][...]

The Kinect for Xbox One is quite a large and heavy unit. As a result I was a little nervous about mounting it on top of my TV but other locations such as below my TV were not practical and resulted in a less than optimal experience.I did not have high hopes for this TV Mount but was very surprised at how adjustable and sturdy it is. My Kinect feels very secure on top of the TV.It came with screws and wall plugs in case you want to mount it on the wall but I think most TV's would easily accept this stand. For those with thin bezels who worry that the clip might overlap the screen, it actually over laps the bezel by about 8 or 9mm. You could however easily put some padding underneath to raise it up a bit.On most TV's it won't come close to overlapping the screen. E.g. my Samsung which is only a year old still has a centimetre spare between the screen and the bottom of the clip.It blends in very well with the Kinect. It is a shame that it has "Orb" written on the front as I'd prefer it to be blank but hey that is nitpicking.

So I finally have an Xbox One with Kinect and I find myself asking "how the heck to I mount this thing?!"I have a look for a mount and find this Kinect Mount from Orb! Honestly, one of the best made perfect accessories I have bought in all my years as a gamer. Its refreshing to see a product do what it is supposed to do, and do it well! The Kinect 2.0 is quite a large unit, so mounting it on your expensive TV does make you nervous! I'm very happy to say that the Orb Kinect Mount does the job very well. Its sturdy and my Kinect sensor doesn't move about at, which is exactly what I wanted to see. Also nice to see that when I move in to a bigger room in the house I can use this same mount to mount the Kinect on the wall which is a great feature!Overall,I am impressed with the build quality and functionality of the Orb mount, and will look out for more products from this company. Thank you and keep up the good work!! This is a must have for anyone with an Xbox One!

Originally my Kinect 2 was on my TV stand at the bottom of the TV screen and it had real issues when trying to track me on the floor during my Xbox Fitness sessions. I would say I have about 4 or 5 feet infront of the TV before hitting the wardrobe. Once set up on top of my 42" TV and aimed slightly downward, (you can run the kinect setup tool in settings > "kinect can't see me"), I could now (just about) do the floor exercises with Xbox Fitness. The construction IS a bit flimsy - you adjust the mount with two little dials that you wind to loosen / tighten once you have your desired angles, but strong tightening of the dials didn't cause anything to break and kept everything in place on top of the TV.When I say flimsy, this is because when placing your Kinect on top of the TV, it'll cause the mount to stretch a little bit as gravity pulls the back down a little behind your TV. But all-in-all, it's a piece of kit I'm very glad for having.

Like a few others, I received a 'faulty' Kinect mount. The measurements were incorrect so my Kinect did not click into the housing plate.I contacted Orb directly, by email, to confirm this.I received a reply within the hour and they told me that there were a few faulty ones that had gone out and that they would send me a replacement housing plate with the right measurements. I also had a few questions about fitting the mount to my oddly-shaped TV so I sent some photos across and got some very helpful tips.My replacement housing plate arrived today and it fits perfectly. Also, as a goodwill gesture, they sent me some thumb grips and a play and charge kit too which was brilliant :)I'm very happy with the great customer service received from Orb and if anybody is having problems with their mount then do email them directly before leaving a bad review, as they are so very helpful. Thanks again Orb!

I really like the stuff I've bought from ORB but when I first put this together I was a bit disappointed like one of the other reviews... until I saw the video link on a discussion. http://youtu.be/RpQi3adtFpIBasically it shows you that you need to really tighten the twisty things on the side (no idea what to call them)once you have the right angle for your TV. Once you've done that it sits nicely on top of the TV and the weight of he camera holds it in place. The Kinect camera also has a rubber coated base which kind of grips the camera clip stopping it from moving I've given my TV a real knock/shove to test the stability and the camera is secure. IMO you'd need to give your TV a really significant bump to even look like dislodging it,in which case I'd be more worried that someone was breaking my TV. In summary, not quite what I expected, but now it's set up I think it's a great product!

I bought this to go on top of a wall mounted TV on a moving bracket and initially I was disappointed with the product as I could not get a stable position. I tried it in several positions and it wouldn't stay they once the cabling was put in.However after a bit of playing around I managed to get a good mount. It has not been sat there for a few weeks and seems to be quite stable. For people trying to set it up the first thing to get in place is your cable. If you are letting your cable dangle down the back of your TV then the way you mount your Kinect will be different as it will be pulled back and vice versa if the cabling is going in some guttering like mine.Once you have it in place try playing around for a bit with the bracket until you get a nice fit and tighten everything up properly so that it doesn't loosen.

fits perfect very stable & kinect is locked onto perfectly and is very very good plastics , has inproved so much to the view angles & speech comands work 30x better I was having problems with kinect understanding me a few times with it below the tv now that its been put on top it works just brillantly every command has been understood first time of trying very impressed , probs will only work on TVs that have abit of a bulky part at the back if you have a super slim tv with no bulky bit at the back then this mount will probs be unstable so i suggest you only buy if your tv suits this product !

This is the perfect bracket, if like me you have to actually wall mount your Kinect. I've got a 65" LG mounted flat to the wall with about 80mm from the wall to the front of my TV. I bought the more expensive official one hoping I could somehow make it work, but unfortunately it just couldn't grip my TV properly, and fell off twice. This is now sitting just above the telly, fixed with the 2 screws supplied and is absolutely rock solid. It does protrude the front of the panel slightly, but it's not obtrusive and has made the Kinect a lot more responsive. Highly recommended for the money.

On the original Kinect the stands I got did not fit my tv. Its an older flat screens so fairly wide. This is a brilliant system that allows you to adjust to the tvs width and they you do up the screws and it fits tightly and securely round tv with a small lip that goes over the top. Kinect fits snugly in mount so really cannot see it falling out. Although when installing I noticed the Kinect has a screw hole in the bottom. It would have been nice if it used this but is secure any way. Poor reviews must have had faulty batch. It also includes the screws and plugs if you want to put on tv

Update:Orb got in touch and sent the correct part. And now the clips works great. The Kinect now feels sturdy and secure on top of the TV. Thumbs up - and excellent customer service from Orb.Original review:In terms of mounting on the TV the stand is fine. Where it falls down is its ability to hold onto the Kinect. The device clearly wasn't made in reference to a real Kinect, they got the dimensions wrong. So the clippy bit doesn't keep hold of Kinect.I kept it because my cable management stuff stops the Kinect falling forwards, otherwise I wouldn't trust it with a bargepole.

My boyfriend has put this up on our TV and, though aprehensive at first about having somehing above our telly, it's not at all obstructive. We change the angle of our TV frequently depending on which part of our living room we are in and the kinect has stayed in place. Can't vouch that it "clipped in" as other reviews mention as I didn't assemble it but there is no issue on the stability and he didn't complain about it (which he would have done). He used a youtube video to assist him which may be of use to others: http://youtu.be/BHNr8qN-Y0s

Opened the box, took the mount out, put it together (without reading instructions) and placed it on the TV (22 inch monitor even though the product description says 26inch and above)it took a couple of minutes finding the best angle for the bracket, tightened the screws and placed Kinect 2.0 (NEW XBOX ONE) on it. Great product.True it does not clip on like the old kinect mount, but it does sit quite tight on the mount and it will not come off.Really looks as if people are reviewing two different products here.
