I guess I'm a typical middle aged bloke. I'm not perfect when it comes to looking after my teeth, brushing once a day usually. Yes I know I'm bad. I do go to the dentist about once a year and generally things were OK.Anyway after having a spate of gum disease recently (which bl**dy hurt), a couple of trips to the dentist and then the hygenist basically spelled it out to me that I have to change my ways or things will get worse. Aside from flossing (new to me) the hygenist recommended an Oral B toothbrush. She said a 2000 would suffice but after much consideration I went for this.It was hard to justify buying it at £120 but it's shared with 4 people (comes with its own brush head case that holds 4 brushes),

This has replaced my Philips Diamond Clean after the it suddenly died just after it's warranty period was over which was a complete disappointment.After using Braun for few months, there are two areas which Braun excels over Philips:- Philips Diamond Clean brush heads do not have any moving parts. The unit vibrates the whole brush rather than only the brushing head. As a result, when brushing teeth at the back, I felt it was not as effective as Braun since the pressure from inside the cheek was absorbing some the action and preventing toothbrush doing its job properly. Braun, on the otherside, only oscillates the brushes on the head so no matter what,

I previously had a philips sonicare and hadn't really considered the oral-b seriously. I'm ashamed to admit it was mainly due to the fact that I thought the sonicare design was a bit more pleasant to the eye. After a few years the battery was wearing thin and not having a shaving plug socket in my bathroom I thought I'd try this one out. I think it does a much better job than the sonicare for me personally. I only use the sensitive settings and the sensitive heads and it does a great job getting my teeth clean. This is my third Oral B electric toothbrush and it is by for the best one I have ever used.My dentist was the first person to recommend the OralB to me and I have to say the cleaning power is superb.The toothbrush is also gentle on my teeth, and has several cleaning modes including sensitive and one for tongue cleaning which, well while being gross is also very effective and leaves your mouth feeling rather fresh.Now I am a gadget guy, but even I had to look at the Bluetooth claim.Why would you want Bluetooth on a toothbrush.Well, there is an iPhone app and once all is set up you can see how well you have been cleaning, access stats etc.

Really happy with this. The Bluetooth timer is a great reminder to keep brushing til the job's done, especially with a late night sleepyhead. My gums are much healthier since this brush gets to the plaque. The pressure sensor sounds unnecessary, but it actually stops you from going to hard and damaging your gums. It has nearly removed the coffee stains, particularly behind my bottom front teeth. Perhaps a little less coffee will complete the job.Now I'm in my fifties, I realise my teeth are more important to me than ever and a thorough brushing will hopefully help me keep them for longer. Haven't tried all the brushes yet, but I'm glad I splashed out on this. The travel hardcase is very swish too.

Have used Oral-B electric toothbrushes for many years, when my most recent one ran out of battery power after five + years I decided to treat myself and replace it with the 7000 black one and I'm certainly not disappointed with it! The old one was excellent but this one is even better - the travel case is very nice too, much better than the old plastic one. There's also a little bag for the charger which is an added bonus. An excellent purchase and definitely worth the slightly higher price, thoroughly recommended!

Absolutely fantastic product! Never enjoyed brushing my teeth but this toothbrush makes it really easy and simple to maintain a clean and hygienic mouth.Although it may seem expensive for a toothbrush it is well worth the buy as it has already removed minor stains on my teeth after just a few times of use. Would recommend this product to any one.The company were even nice enough to include a UK plug adapter free of charge too! A fantastic service and product! Couldn't be happier!

Its overall a very good toothbrush - However, for it to be optimal, it needs to be on full charge. It is still decent when on 2 bars but you can see a massive drop in performance when its on 1 bar. Due to this, I keep it on its charger as soon as Im done using it. The bluetooth/app connectivity allows you to modify/extend brushing times and configure the modes on the brush.

Brilliant couldn't live without now :)It does carry a price tag but well worth it.I've been using this toothbrush for around 2 months now and honestly can't fault it was going to buy sonic but some reviews stated not all that so I took the risk and went for this only thing I could complain about is the charger very plasticky looks cheap :)

My previous Oral-B electric toothbrush began to act up something to do with the drive shaft train so I opted for the Pro 7000 I did not need the bluetooth connection but wanted a powerful brush with a variety of settings and that is what the Pro 7000 gives you, this brush does the job and is the best brush I have used to date.

Bought Oral-B Pro 7000 as a replacement to the Oral-B 5000 which has given excellent service - very pleased with the new brush. The travel container is very posh I question whether it really needs to be so as this must increase the price, the container for the 5000 was right for the job.

Have used this type of electric toothbrush since its concept and have found no reason to change, our Dentist always comments on how well we clean our teeth, I put this down to the Oral B.It's expensive and a price reduction would be welcomed, but it does do its job.

This is a fantastic toothbrush, it really gets your teeth clean and requires minimal effort. I love the timer that comes with it so you can track how long each corner takes and the travel case is perfect. It even holds a manual toothbrush if you need it.

The Oral B Pro 7000 is a must have toothbrush which is perfectly ideal for oral hygiene. It leaves the teeth and mouth thoroughly clean just in 2mins of usage. Although it's highly over priced, it's definitely worth every penny spent.

Great product - the Bluetooth link to iPhone app does really encourage the user to not only brush teeth for at least 2 minutes twice a day but also to brush your tongue, floss and rinse.
