I've had an electric toothbrush for a few years now. I had the Oral B Professional Care 7000 brush, now I have the Oral B Pro 2 2000N brush.I am impressed! My original brush was great when I first got it, it really did give a fresh from the dentist feel. Two things affected that though. Mostly was the fact the battery (NiMh) lost its grunt. The other was that I bought third party brush heads as the oral b ones are a rip off! This new brush has a lithium ion battery so I am hopeful it will retain its full power. The cross action brush head that comes with it seems very good to me. It actually really does feel like it is getting in all the gaps! My teeth also do feel again like I have just been to the dentist, like my old brush when it was new. Let's hope this continues and isn't just because it is a new electric toothbrush with a new brush head.I do find the brush feels quite aggressive at first, so I apply virtually no pressure when brushing. I'm being careful not to hurt or recede my gums. I have however found the brush more comfortable after a week or two as the bristles soften a little. This time I have plugged my toothbrush into a timer plug so it gets an hour's charge every day rather than charging all the time. Although apparently the toothbrush does have an over charge prevention mechanism.I'm buying oral b brushes again as the third party ones kept coming off during brushing, the rotating head part would also loosen and lose its effectiveness, and the bristles would quickly lose their stiffness. I still think oral b brushes are way over priced, but I'd rather pay a little more than have ineffective brushes that save a few quid.I'll update this review if I have problems but so far I think the electric toothbrush is excellent!By the way, as far as I understand from the oral b website, this model and those above it are essentially the same motor and battery, you just get extra unnecessary gimmicks for a LOT of extra money!

I bought this electric toothbrush on the recommendation of my dentist. Surprisingly, he didn't suggest a more expensive model. It fits well in the hand and it's comfortable to hold. In common with most electric tooth brushes it has a rubberised non-slip grip. I don't find this especially effective once it's wet, and something more textured might be better. It's a simple enough brush, with just a single button for power. Press once to turn in on, press again to switch to low speed 'sensitive' mode, and a final press to turn it off. It has a useful timer function to indicate the recommended 2 minutes cleaning is up, and every 30 seconds it buzzes to let you know to move to the next area of your teeth - top, bottom, inside, outside. It doesn't actually switch itself off after 2 minutes though, just a long buzz to let you know the time is up.It's got a very useful pressure warning light - press too hard and it lights up. I found myself benefiting from this a lot when I first started using the brush, you really don't need much pressure to do an effective job.The battery life is OK- it's stated to last 2 weeks between charges, and that's about right. It does fade very quickly though when it's low on charge and it switches to a low speed mode, but at least you can finish cleaning your teeth. It takes a while to charge; I put it on charge when it runs down and leave it on all day or overnight. In use it's very effective. The first time I used it I really got the feeling my teeth were cleaner. I drink a lot of tea and I've had noticeably less staining since going from a manual tooth brush to this electric one.Overall I'm very pleased with this brush, it's not gimmicky or too expensive but does a great job at cleaning your teeth.

I’ve got an older model of electric toothbrush and the battery dies every few days so I was in desperate need of a replacement. This set was on offer and it’s got a longer lasting Lithium-Ion battery which lasts ages between charging.I only need the one toothbrush but the price was such a bargain that I thought I might as well get the twin pack and keep one as a spare.I can definitely tell the difference between my old and new toothbrush, this one cleans much better and it’s got a pressure indicator to tell you if you are pressing down to hard, which apparently I’ve been doing a lot as the red flashing light keeps warning me.The handle buzzes every 30 seconds to let you know to move to a different section of your mouth and there’s also 2 modes, when you press the power button a second time the brush slows to allow gentler cleaning, suitable for gums or those who have sensitive teeth. It takes a bit of getting use to, the first time I sprayed my top with toothpaste because I expected the brush to turn off when I pressed the button but it carried on, you need to press it twice to turn it off. I have to say I find this feature a bit annoying, there should be a separate button to choose what mode you want the toothbrush in.I’ve had the brush 2 weeks now and I’ve just plugged it in to charge it up so I’m really happy with the performance of the battery, especially as I sometimes clean my teeth 3 times a day.Fantastic value at £45 for 2 brushes and 2 heads and it’s only losing 1 star because I’ve got to keep remembering to press the power button twice to turn it off, so annoying!Hope you found my review helpful.

Having used several different electric toothbrushes over the years, including a Philips Sonicare and my previous one which was an Oral-B Pulsonic Slim brush, I believe this Cross Action brush cleans my uneven teeth much better than ANY of my previous brushes :-) It seems quite 'vicious' but even though I have advanced gum disease (pocketing along the gum line), it does not hurt my gums or make them bleed :-) One of the reasons I think it cleans my teeth better is because the pressure light has taught me that I hadn't been pressing hard enough! It produces quite a deep, loud noise in use, possibly because the bristles of the cross action brush hit your teeth from all angles? But I don't care,as long as it cleans my teeth thoroughly, which it definitely seems to be doing :-)Proctor and Gamble have today confirmed that the Oral-B Pro range of toothbrushes take 18-22 hours to fully re-charge every time! I find this ridiculous because if we clean our teeth twice a day, that means that it will NEVER get fully re-charged! And I doubt that only partially re-charging batteries every time is conducive to making them last. So unless you have a shaver socket in the bathroom, you might want to think twice about buying one!Update: 17 Jan 2016My teeth definitely look cleaner than they did before I started using this Cross Action brush and they no longer have brownish stains on some of the 'set back' ones, which is great :-) My gum health also seems to have improved because they no longer bleed :-)

My emergency dentist recommended this toothbrush to me. He said that while there are a lot of cheaper versions, I should buy ones which have a pressure sensor. Apparently a lot of people using electronic toothbrushes press down too hard without them knowing, causing damage to their gums. Probably because otherwise you feel like you're not doing anything! (Indeed, my friend said she got an electronic toothbrush without a pressure sensor which had lead her gums to start bleeding). At the beginning I noticed the red light switching on from time to time, meaning I was pressing down too hard. Now I know just how much is enough and the red light is rarely on.So this function is probably great for beginner! The next time (maybe half a year after beginning use) I went to see my regular dentist, he was pleasantly surprised to see much less plaque on my teeth and praised me for taking good care of them! I have very bad teeth (two crowns fitted at the age of 20) so it is great to hear that this has made a difference. However, I did start using this at the same time as an oral irrigator, so any benefit is probably down to the two of them combined. Two years later and I have not had to have anything else done on my teeth!I would definitely recommend this, combined with an oral irrigator (Philips), to anyone worried about their teeth. I bought it on offer for around 30 pounds and together with the irrigator, it has been a great investment which has made such a difference and a saving long-term!

After receiving 2 back filings from the dentist recently I decided to buy an electric toothbrush as I felt the manual one just wasn't cleaning my teeth thoroughly enough.I find using this it is much easier to get to the back teeth and clean them properly. The head is quite slim so you can get it right to the back very easily unlike using cumbersome toothbrushes.I feel I am cleaning my teeth much more effectively than I have ever done before and my teeth feel fresh and clean afterwards.I have one gripe and that was with the tiny rubber ring that fitted between the head and the handle. I immediately lost this down the sink as it just 'fell off' without me realising it.Would like to know if this is essential to the brush? Does it cause less friction? It's extremely easy to lose and imagine lots of people have lost it without even realising it!I advise looking up how to use an electric toothbrush as the instructions are not very clear and you need to make sure you are angling the toothbrush correctly so as not to damage your teeth. I think lots of people use them incorrectly and too harshly.I just let the brush do the work and do not use any pressure at all. It's so strong I don't think you need to.No problem for me with battery at the moment but we will wait and see! I also think it is very expensive particularly as you do not get any spare heads with it hence the 4 stars.I bought this electronic toothbrush as it was recommended by my Dentist.

I'm very happy with my purchase!Put simply, it's a very effective toothbrush that cleans very well. The head isn't so big that you need a flip top head, nor is it so small that you need to spend ages on each tooth. It has a timer which allows for four periods of thirty seconds. You can, obviously carry on beyond those times. There are two mode settings for this brush. One is the normal setting to clean your teeth (continuous speed). The second seeing has been, apparently, designed for "gum care" and consists of a repeating pulsing of speed. There is a clearly visible red light that illuminates if you apply too much pressure when brushing. The brush heads have a decent lifespan with normal use.On average I would say that ours last around three months before requiring a replacement head. The replacement brush heads, compared to other makes and models, are reasonably also priced (at the time of writing, about £11 for four). The battery life will give you approximately seven or so days use before needing too be recharged. And with that, comes the only negative that I've found. They are unbelievably slow to recharge! They can easily take 20+ hours to fully charge! It's for that one reason alone that I've not rated this product with the full five stars. Otherwise, a good buy that I'd happily recommend to others.

The whole Oral-B range are fantastic. This is the bottom of the top range. It has 2 'modes' so you might well ask yourself how many modes does a toothbrush need. We have a 2000, a 3000 and a 4000 in our house. So they all look the same, feel the same and the only difference is that the 4000 has 4 modes. I can honestly say that in the probably 2 months I have been using my 4000, I have never used anything but the basic mode. The 2000 comes with a basic charger which is all you need. We have 4 Oral-B brushes in the house in total so we are rotate and use a single charger in the bathroom. The 4000 comes with a plastic case to hold your various heads and the 2000 and 3000 do not but we don't use the plastic thingy anyway. The 2000 is fantastic and I see no reason to spend a penny more, let alone the tens of pounds more on the 4000 or 3000 model. The 2000 has the pressure indicator, a bright light that comes on if you press too hard. This is quite a useful feature. My teeth feel squeeky clean after using this toothbrush, exactly as much as after using the 4000 or the 3000.They are all the same and the extra modes just get in the way so, if you want my opinion, get the 2000 and don't waste your money on anything posher.

I've put the model as the title of my review as, when I was researching brushes, some of the reviews for different models seemed to be mixed in with each other. Which isn't helpful as you click on what you think is a diff model and get all the same reviews up.Anyway. I had an Oral-B Sonic Care with a rectangular brush head and my dentist told me to change to a round head and said "all Oral-B models can take the round head attachment". Foolishly I didn't question this and ordered the round heads....only to find that they don't fit the Sonic range.I contacted P&G (makers of Oral-B brand) to ask some questions and they were very helpful.I didn't want a brush that connects to a phone app (not sure why I would need such a thing - and it's just more stuff to go wrong). It also had to take the round heads (as I now had 4 in my possession) and I queried the negative reviews that I've been reading about battery life. The recommendation was the 2 2000 model.I've been using it about 10 days now and I must say - my teeth have never felt so clean (except, perhaps, after a hygienist appointment). Still on my first charge - this model's charge is stated as lasting 2 weeks. So far - loving it.

After using this toothbrush for the last two weeks, I can safely say that I'm never going back to a manual toothbrush again. This was actually recommended by my dentist, and it has drastically helped to reduce the staining on my teeth. After use, your teeth feel smoother and your mouth just feels so much cleaner than by using a manual toothbrush. The toothbrush buzzes every 30 seconds to tell you to move on to the next section of your mouth, and does one final buzz at the recommended 2 minutes. In my opinion, it's quite difficult to get a good clean in 2 minutes - it's a very different brushing technique compared to using a manual toothbrush. It's also handy that the red light turns on if you're pressing too hard. This is a great product if you're starting off on your electric toothbrush journey. It's very affordable (compared to some of the higher priced toothbrushes) and the brush heads aren't that expensive either (includes a spare head in the box). Be warned that you will need to buy a shaver adaptor if you want to charge it in a normal plug.EDIT: Over a year later, and I'm still using it! Never going back to a manual.

After extensive research in the electric toothbrush field, the Oral-B Pro 2 2000N came out as the best in my price range. Oral-B seems to be the recommended brand by most dentists anyway so I went ahead and made the purchase. As other reviews have mentioned, they have sometimes received a different model to what was originally ordered. This review is for the Oral-B Pro 2 2000N. That is what I ordered and what I received. It's pretty standard in form. It isn't some great monstrosity with a huge charging base. Fits neatly on the bathroom shelf. It has several brushing modes, but to be fair, I just turn it on and have a brushing routine to suit myself. It holds charge reasonably well - A single charge is claimed to last 2 weeks.but that hasn't been the case for me. Maybe I brush for a bit longer than needed. The motor isn't as aggressive as the Philips Sonicare, which although may be a better toothbrush, I find a little bit too 'violent' when brushing.Overall no problems so far. For £30 I find it decent value. There are cheaper and more expensive toothbrushes. but I've found this to be the best of the mid-range.

I bought this toothbrush for my partner via Prime as he’s never had an electric toothbrush before. He is really pleased with the cleaning and the pressure sensor. Unfortunately I cannot comment on the battery as he just pops it back on charge after coming out of the bathroom. There is a 2-3mm gap between the toothbrush head and the top of the device, and being that I have an older version of this toothbrush which doesn’t have that we were quite concerned. We called Oral B twice and both advisors has said this gap is normal to stop the shaft touching the body and wearing out the plastic and it also stops water getting trapped within the head apparently.I wish this was mentioned in the description or shown clearly via the picture on the box as I can see a lot of people have returned this product because of the small gap (I don’t know why you can’t attach pictures with reviews anymore because it would have been good to show this). Anyway, he's confident that the head feels like its securely on despite the gap and now that he's been reassured it’s not a manufacturing fault, he’s happy to keep it.

First electric toothbrush iv used. And can't fault it. Fits the description perfectly.Teeth feel amazingly clean and polished .Love that it has a 2 minute timer. It changes vibration to let me know when to move to brush each side of the mouth. so I can brush upper left right and lower left and right teeth for the same length of time.Battery life great lasts me a week to a week and a half but may be because its new.Note to consumer: I don't have a shaving output in my bathroom which you need to charge this toothbrush. If you don't have one like me you have to buy a standard 3 pin plug that has a shaving connector to plug the toothbrush into.I failed to realise this in the description but easily sorted and still overly happy with my purchase .Also great value for money. I wouldn't go for the more expensive ones with all the modcons and gadgets , as this does everything you need anyway at a cheaper price! Don't pay over the odds for a toothbrush that this one does perfectly. If your considering switching to electric toothbrush I wouldnt hesitate to buy this one. You wont be disappointed.

Comes with paper work, toothbrush, charging port, 1 tooth brush head & 12 months warranty with Oral B to register online.Set up was easy, easy clip on head then sat straight on top charging port and plugged in. (2 pin plug so you will need an additional plug if you don't have a 2 pin socket in your bathroom.)Comes with 2 settings. Press power button for option 1. Power button twice for sensitive setting. Comes with a pressure sensor at back which will flash red if you are applying too hard to teeth. Comes with a 2 minute timer which will distribute with a vibrate each 30 seconds to tell you to move to next section in the mouth. This comes with a teeth whitening tooth head but you can use otherOral B heads such as sensitive. It is really powerful and can seem loud but just assuming it's just because it's so close to your head. Probably take some getting used to. This is my first electric tooth brush which has been recommended by my dentist as I brush too hard with a manual brush and brushed some of my side gum away.Overall so far I'm happy with this product.

I had a Phillips Diamond Care toothbrush which I LOVED , but I had 2 "die" within 3 years. My 1st was replaced under warranty my 2nd was out of warranty and they do not offer a repair service not very eco friendly. I therefore started looking at a replacement. My previous Oral B had lasted me many years and when I upgraded to Phillips my Mum used my oral b for a further couple of years. I initially ordered a more expensive Oral B brush of a well known voucher site , which failed to arrive and on reflection decided that I didn't need an expensive toothbrush just one that worked and is Dentist recommended ; this one fits that bill completely.Only bug bear is I wish it would automatically switch off once 2 minutes are completed as I sometimes miss the long vibrate that signify cleaning can end but its cheap, arrived next day and my teeth feel much cleaner than they did with Phillips which would be 3 times price. Let's hope it lasts as long as my oral b predecessor. Finally I loved it so much I have purchased a similar model for my sisters Christmas
