FIRST IMPRESSIONS & OVERALL USEFirst thing's first, it's pink (well mine is pink, I've just noticed that black is also available). Second thing, this is marketed as a whitening toothbrush but this is more to do with the actual brush head rather than the toothbrush unit itself (see next section). It has two modes (the normal "daily clean" mode and a "gum care mode" - I know there are more expensive brushes with lots of different modes but as someone who has owned some of these brushes in the past, I'm not sure it's a big deal for the average person as the regular mode does the job most effectively. There's more than enough power on the 2500 to give your teeth a good clean. There's two lights, one to tell you when battery is low and one which tells you if you're pressing too hard (not always 100% effective as the angle you hold the brush will come into play, but this is applicable to most/all pressure sensored brushes). You get a handy travel case in this box which isn't always included with all Oral-B toothbrushes so it's a nice bonus here.THE BRUSH HEADWith the Braun range, the brush head you use really makes all the difference. I used the Precision Clean heads for many years before finding the CrossAction toothbrush heads, which were far superior because the bristles on the brush are more spaced out and angled, providing "cross action" cleaning. This 2500 toothbrush comes with a 3D White head which provides a different cleaning experience and is marketed to emphasis the "whitening" benefits (replacement brush heads, or if you want to try just the heads on your existing brush: Oral-B 3D White Electric Toothbrush Replacement Heads - Pack of 4) The bristles feel sparse and don't feel as "hard" as my CrossAction brush bristles or as gentle as either the sensitive brush heads or the classic Precision Clean heads. I haven't really noticed a whitening benefit but I think teeth whitening benefits can be hard to spot unless you're using a chart of some kind. It's a good brush head but I still prefer my CrossAction toothbrush heads, which I think provide a better all-round clean (Oral-B CrossAction Electric Toothbrush Replacement Heads - Pack of 4).SUMMARYThis is a good entry to mid-range toothbrush from the forever-expanding Oral-B family. It's got more than enough power to give your teeth a really good clean so I like the 2500. It is all about the brush heads though so whether you get this toothbrush or another one from the range, I highly recommend trying a few different heads to see which one you find most effective - it will make the world of difference.

This Oral-B Pro 2500 3D Electric Toothbrush comes complete with charger, brushhead, a travel case and instructions. There's a one year warranty as standard which can be extended to two years if you register your device. After using this toothbrush for a while these are the pros and areas for development as I see it -Pros- The build quality looks and feels good plus the shape of the handle and the use of smooth plastic and rubber makes the brush handle easy to use.- Brushing quality is good and the range of brushing options - I don't think anyone can brush as effectively with a manual toothbrush - my mouth feels much fresher with an electric toothbrush.- My gums seem healthier with regularbrushing using an electric brush - if I use a manual brush I start to get bleeds after a few days.- The pressure warning light is handy and easily visible when you're using the brush.- I like the fact that there are no exposed metal contacts on the brush handle or charger unit which comes with an approved UK 2 pin plug that will fit most bathroom sockets around the world.- The control button is easy and logical to operate.- The travel case is a welcome extra - most people like to take their electric toothbrush on trips but often don't do so because they're hard to carry if you don't have a proper case.Areas for development- Charging time is too lengthy - a full charge can take up to 22 hours and gives under 30 minutes of use which is about a weeks use. Most rechargeable appliances give a longer operating than their charging time.- In the instructions it features a table telling you about the brushing modes for the various models and features amongst others the 2000 and 3000 models but not the 2500 model which features 2 modes.- The charger base doesn't have rubber feet fitted although it has mouldings for them so it slithers around - even if the user had to stick them on themselves Oral-B should supply feet.- The single brush head supplied is a bit mean.- I'm not a great fan of the fact that after every 30 seconds of brushing the motor pauses to tell you to move to the next quadrant of your mouth - I'd prefer a bleep but no "motor splutter".In summary, this is an effective rechargeable toothbrush and the inclusion of a travel case is a genuinely useful extra.

My first electric toothbrush was the Philips Sonicare gum Care which I purchased about 4 years ago but it died on me recently. I used to think this was more inferior to the Philips electric toothbrushes but how wrong I was. I've been using this for 3 weeks now and for those that are interested I below is a direct comparison with the Philips Sonicare Gum Health:Performance: Oral B wins hands down. Its so powerful it got rid of some of the plaque building up on my teeth. My teeth feel so much cleaner when I use it I never had that feeling using the Sonicare.Brush head:I prefer Oral B's rotary motion to Philips' sonic (side-to-side) motion. The rotary motion is proven to be slightly more effective which explains why Oral B electric toothbrushes are recommended by dentists. The shape of the Oral B brush head means its big enough to clean each tooth thoroughly as well as the gums. For those with braces you can purchase the orthadontic heads on amazon which are brilliant. I don't think Philips make the orthodontic brush heads.Battery life: I have braces so clean my teeth for about three and a half to four minutes twice a day. So far I have had to charge every 7-10 days and this is where Oral B lags the Sonicare. The charge on the Somicare used to last me about 3 weeks and 2 weeks when I had braces but I'm so impressed with the Oral B I can easily overlook this.Value for Money: Obviously the Oral B is much better value. My Philips elec toothbrush cost me £75 and that was four years ago. The version I got may have gone down in price but for a good quality brush e.g. their Diamond Clean line you're paying £100+. I bought this toothbrush with a travel case for £35 and it performs much better than the Sonicare. The only thing I can't comment on is the lonegivity of the product. My Philips brush lasted four years which I think is very good but my husband had a cheaper Oral B electric toothbrush which lasted him 5 years so hopefully this one will hold up.If you want to up your oral hygiene buy this toothbrush, you will be impressed at the performance especially given the price.

Rechargeable Toothbrush with Travel Case Powered by Braun PinkOver the years we have tried and successfully used a number of Oral B Pro toothbrushes ranging from the bargain basement to the Rolls Royce models. All have their strengths ( and a few weaknesses – like price / value for money) .This is a sensible middle of the range model with more than enough bells and whistles , highly functional and comes with a neat carrying case for the brush and the charger which suits us as regular travellers . You would need an extra head to use for 2 persons .It is also completely waterproof so that you can ( if so desired) use it directly in the shower.Out of the box:-1 x (pink)toothbrush with small base charger – put on charge when received – checked after 22hOn a full charge a 2 x per day / 7 day use is claimed. A red warning light comes on when the power is low.NOTE - The charging is typical of every Oral B unit I have tested / used to date – slow . There is a green charging indicator which goes out when charged and a pressure indicator to stop you damaging sensitive gums ( see also a gum mode)1 x 3D cleaning head ( there are 4 other brush head types available to purchase) ; 1 x carrying case for travel ( this will accommodate the main unit a 2 brushes) ; 1 x multimodel instruction leafletIn use :-There is a sound action / timer every 30 seconds to warn you to clean the 4 quarters of the mouth equally ( cleaning is based on a 2 minute regime) . You can cycle between modes by pressing the on/off switchThere is a 30 day money back satisfaction guarantee and a 2 year guaranteeSo , works well , pity they didn’t include a spare head so that 2 persons could use the same unit when travelling ( All 5 head types work well depending on your specific cleaning requirements) and the battery charging is still painfully slow – rate the unit as 4 star overall , 5 star for performance

Although this version of 'Oral-B Pro 2500 3D White Electric Rechargeable Toothbrush with Travel Case Powered by Braun - Pink' may not be colour-suitable for some, there are presumably alternatives. This offers a three-way action including rotation, oscillation and pulsation and the combination is claimed to remove up to double the plaque of competing designs and actions. With normal use, it is not possible to confirm that specific claim but the brush certainly works well, leaving the teeth feeling smooth and clean. Its power lead is quite short, about 0.9m, and if recharging via a shaver socket will need a shelf in close proximity.A shaver adapter will allow charging elsewhere in the home from a wall socket. As with an older Oral-B powered brush (recently disused as the charger base was somehow lost), the head will need replacing after a while - probably several months - and replacements are available in packs of up to eight but in a single colour and they are compatible with a wide range of models (several if not all). The 2500 would be a good choice, as it is easy to use and to recharge. To prevent over-brushing, there is a built-in two-minute timer that switches it off at the end of that time and also a separate warning should you apply excessive pressure. In addition to the standard operation it also offers a gum massage mode so offers more than the basics. Pricewise, the 2500 is placed towards the lower end of the range but it is more than adequate for the task and reasonably affordable. Top-of-range models approach £200 and may demand justification pre-purchase.In the event that it will sometimes be used other than just at home, a hard travel case is included. A single charge pre-departure, should suffice for a normal two-week holiday with some to spare.

This is one of the "entry-level", relatively cheaper Braun brushes. It has two brushing modes, although in practise I tend only to use one mode 99% of the time, and electric brushes are so much better than standard toothbrushes that you don't really need multiple modes to get better teeth cleaning anyway. As with most other Braun brushes, the actual brushing speed is lower than the Phillips Sonicare brushes and more of a "slow grinding" than ultrasonic brushing, but it cleans effectively nonetheless. It's supplied with a charger plinth, one brush head, and a travelling case; the case is surprisingly useful, preventing the brush from being accidentally activated inside a bag or case,as well as keeping the brush clean. The other feature on this brush is similar to other Braun brushes - a red "overpressure" warning light on the back if you're pressing too hard - although in practise, every Braun brush I've seen with this only activates if you're really putting a huge amount of leaning pressure on your teeth; your gums would be bleeding all over the place if you habitually did this. Also, as with other Braun brushes, it takes a hell of a long time to recharge and the charge itself is good for maybe a full week of normal brushing. In this respect, every Philips brush I've used is much better - charges take about 12 hours (roughly overnight) and last for around 2 full weeks. While the Braun 2500 is OK as a brush and does everything you'd expect pretty well, I still prefer the Philips brushes, whose basic models can be had a little more cheaply, albeit without a travelling case.

Every so often you see a battle of the electric toothbrushes on the TV and at times the dentist, and with the dentist, depending who they seem to be sponsored by, is dependent upon whcih of the electric toothbrushes that they recommend. However after having tried both the sonic as well as the oral b, I have to say I prefer the Oral B.My reasons for this include:1) Feels like a better clean2) Has a pressure sensor so you don't brush your gums too hard.3) Has a rotary movement so some of the trickier places get a better clean as the ossilating part gets right into the spaces between teeth.Other reasons why I like this brush is that you can buy different colour handles rather than having to relyupon a little tag higher up the brush to make sure that you use your own brush and that the wide range of oral b brush heads are all interchangable upon the one brush so when you find a type of head that you like you can stick with it.All round its a great brush and one that I'm going to be sticking with as at the end of the day the clean feeling that I achieve with this brush outlasts all others I've tried and for a fresher mouth, its well worth the purchase price. Back this up with easy to purchase replacable heads as well as a solid rechargable battery which on a previous brush lasted four years before giving up the ghost, all round made me feel that its value for money. Great stuff.

Oral-B Pro 2500 3D White Electric Rechargeable Toothbrush has two cleaning modes – there is the standard ‘Daily Clean’, which is what the vast majority of users need and actually use. Then there is the ‘Gum Care’ mode, which is a bit more sensitive and is not quite the same power range as the daily clean mode. This brush has a slim profile - The Pro 2500 is easy to use the brush, which fits securely in the hand regardless of your age and movement in your fingers. Its ergonomic contours and rubber grip stop the brush from slipping when wet. With the Timed Clean feature, there is a noticeable warning when to change area and when the 2-minute cycle is complete. The Pressure sensor - A rear mounted pressure sensor, illuminates red should too much strength and pressure be applied to the teeth. Acting as a visual indicator, you are clearly made aware of reducing the pressure and chances of doing injury to the teeth.Box contents - a travel case is a handy accessory even if you do not use it very often, or work entails that you are peripatetic. To sum up, then, this is an electric toothbrush, which gives your teeth a brilliant and satisfying clean. The vibrations against your teeth are not too bad, and this unit helps to keep your gums healthy. What is a nice, and a useful feature is the fact the toothbrush will tell you if you are applying too much pressure when brushing.

Being an electric toothbrush virgin I wasn't sure what to expect. Would it hurt? Would it lead to a meaningful, lasting relationship? Well, the answer is yes.The toothbrush comes with a travel case, so it assumes I actually leave my house occasionally. Ha! Joke's on you toothbrush. I don't.. (Help me, I'm so lonely.) It also comes with a two pin plug, so you'll need an adapter if you want to charge it in a normal plug socket. Once again, you may need to leave the house or you could order one from Amazon.I would advise if you're not used to vibrating things in your mouth that you put a towel around your front. The first time I used this I made my mouth bleed and got purple toothpaste all down my front so I may not be the perfect person to review this.It oscillates and spins very rapidly, which leads me to my few points.1. If you're not used to using it, you will feel like your brain will get shaken out. However, you will get used to it.2. If you're not used to using it, you will end up jittering this all over your mouth because you're not sure how much pressure to use. The pressure light is very useful and you'll soon learn.3. It's loud!Despite the noise of the thing, it does do a great job of cleaning your teeth. It doesn't need frequent charging and I got about a week out of one charge. Generally satisfied with it.

This mid range electric toothbrush is so much better than my old entry level one which has now gone in the bin.Firstly however the reason it looses a start is because (like my old one) the lead is not long enough. My charger in the bathroom is joined onto a light above the sink. THe lead does not reach down to the sink nor to one side to sit on the window sill. Luckily I have a huge first aid box on the window sill and this just about reaches so that with the weight of the bush in it just about sits flat but is not very stable. The other slight negative (or at least not a positive) is that this does not auto shut down after your two minutes is up - not a biggy, just count how many 30 second intervals it has done, but it would have been a nice feature.Brushing however -which is the main point of this product...BRILLIANT. My teeth feel lovely and clean and smooth, unlike my last brush, removing it from my mouth to spit does not result in splatters around the room and thr pressure and speed is just right. There is one button. it turns on, then changes the mode to a gentler one which is very much a pulsing action, and then to off.The carry case is a must have and give me the confidence to take this with me when travelling. It is well balanced and easy to hold.

The Oral-B Pro 2500 3D White electric toothbrush is a good quality basic rechargeable brush. Unlike the newer models at the top of the range, it does not have the higher-capacity and faster-charging lithium-ion battery, so a full charge takes at least sixteen hours, and for us it then lasts about a week. We have been testing the newer ones (8000 range) and they charge up in less than twelve hours, so that fits in nicely between the morning brushing and the evening one, although it's not a massive issue that this one takes longer. The brush has an attractive pink handle, and there is a pressure sensor which indicates clearly if you are brushing too hard (which damages your gums).A useful hard plastic travel case is supplied, and one brush head, of the 3D White variety, although you can use any of the oral-b range apart from the sonic heads (so Precision Clean, Cross Action, Floss Action or Trizone are your other options). The 3D White head is a favourite of mine, although it is one of the larger ones so if this is for a child you may find that Precision Clean heads are more suited as they are smaller. As always with the Oral-B brushes, the cleaning provided by this model is excellent, and vastly superior to manual brushing.A great basic brush

This product was delivered promptly and worked straight out of the box. I have used successive models of Oral-B toothbrushes for more than 20 years and find them easy to use and my dentist is happy with how I look after my teeth!Unfortunately this toothbrush stopped working after the second time I recharged it, so I rang the helpline and spoke to the helpful man who took down the details of the problem. He took down my contact details and sent a pre-payed label so I could return the charger handle and said it would be checked over and either repaired or replaced. The e mail with the label for me to print off were in my inbox before I had ended the call.I had a text to say the parcel had arrived on monday and the replacement was delivered on Thursday. I could not expect friendlier or more efficient service to solve the problem. For that reason I have awarded the full 5 stars. This is the first faulty unit that I have had, and I have probably had in excess of 6 since I started to brush electronically - and only as many as that as I keep one in our holiday apartment and one at home! Well done Braun.

I guess the most important thing about any product like this is the build quality and durability and the Oral B Pro 2500 ticks both boxes in that regards. It feels and looks like solid poroduct. I've owned other electric toothbrushes in the past but this one has something my previous models never did, a pressure sensor light that lights up like a Christmas tree when you're pushing too hard. It is nice bright red light that is hard to miss. The purpose of course is to prevent gum damage caused by brushing too hard. The 2500 model has only two modes: Daily Clean and Gum Care. The brush has a charging light that flashes when charging and a red low charge indicator. The brush is waterproof however the charger is not so care should be taken around water. Unless you have a two pin socket power point you'll require an adapter plug because the charger comes with a two pin plug. The brush comes with a travel case which is included as a bonus item however it looks a bit flimsy and I'm not sure how long it would last be tossed around.Overall this is a quality product that is hard to fault.

Decided to purchase this model as there seems to be a large number of Oral B electric toothbrushes with varied price points. At first it was hard to know the difference between each one and it appears that the main differences of each model is the programmes available on the brush. In reality I knew I was only going to be using the standard function so this model seemed like a good choice. The brush itself works great with the round head allowing you to fully get around each tooth. The brush is easy to clean after each use as long as you take the head off the base and give it a good rinse. The reason for giving 4 rather than 5 stars is the fact it takes FOREVER to charge the guy!Instructions advise that a charge can take up to 22 hours and that once fully charged it lasts a week or two. My research of other reviews has found this to be a common nuisance from other users. If you are ok with the long charging (which shouldn't be an issue if you are ok with plugging it in and leaving it somewhere safe) then I would recommend this brush.

Wish there were more colours to choose from as I didn't want to a black one but don't like pink either! The toothbrush has a charge of 2 weeks which is great, but does take a full day to recharge. Th6r heads are easy to charge but the bristles within 4 weeks have started to become splayed and that can't be accounted for by hard brushing due to the pressure sensor, so I'll be using different ones. Toothbrush heads are universal so you don't need to stick to the one that's included. The pressure sensor makes a different noise when brushing too hard and the red light on it is clearly seen even when you're not looking in the mirror. The toothbrush makes it easy to know when to change quadrants of your mouth with vibrations, and after 2 mins makes a different vibration pattern so you know the time's up.I needed to get this due to receeding gumlines from hard brushing and it's been really easy to adapt to this. My teeth feel nice and clean and have had no problems using it. It's really handy to have a nice travel case to go with it.
