The Oral-B PRO 650 electric toothbrush is another excellent one from the Oral B stable. At the time of writing this model has been reduced to an amazing price that you would expect to pay for the lowest basic toothbrush. My simple advice is get it while you can. This is one of the better in the range simply because it cleans by rotating and oscillating your teeth so much better and more effectively than an ordinary manual one.Simply put if you want to keep your teeth use an electric toothbrush.• Now Oral B offer ' Satisfaction Guaranteed or Your Money Back: no risk for 60 days. If you are not 100% satisfied, receive a full refund.'• So you really have no excuses NOT to try it out.• Most fair minded people would agree that with an offer like this you have nothing to loose but everything to gain? This model is a step up from the basic ones because it not only rotates but it oscillates as well.Simply put it is much, much better at getting rid of all that plaque that gives you all the problems. It is cheap for such a reliable and well designed brand. It's made in Germany and those guys and gals know how to build good tec.The brushes revolve at around 7,600 revs per minute on a strong charge and as I say earlier the oscillating head and bristles clean right between the teeth where a lot of the dental problems start. They get rid of much more plaque than manual and thus help to prevent gum disease and the dreaded Gingivitis. It's rechargeable. A cable is provided and a two pronged plug so you will need one of those adaptors.Amazon sell pretty good ones cheaply and of course you can take it with you on holiday and use one of the travel adaptor plugs. Now you will need one if you go on holiday because the batteries hold a usable charge for only 5 days. So that's two 3 min brushes twice a day for 5 days. The Pros1.You can get non Oral B replacement heads that will fit for a cheap price copies.2. It Oscillates! So that means more effective plaque removal.3 You will use less toothpaste and thus save money.and if that is not enough4 Saves you pain in the future5 Saves you the cost of high Dental Bills.6.It's Rechargeable.7. The big reduction in cost (at the time of writing8. A free sample of Oral B Toothpaste.and finally (honest)9. there is that offer ' Satisfaction Guaranteed or Your Money Back: no risk for 60 days. If you are not 100% satisfied, receive a full refund.'The NigglesNo settings for the GumsYou need an adapter to connect it to the mains.here is a link to one on Amazon.Shaver Adaptor (2pin To 3pin) 1ampNow a few tips.1. Only use a pea sized amount of toothpaste.2. Let the brush do its work rather than try to use it like a manual toothbrush as you switch it on. (This one does tend to stall)3. Just rinse your mouth slightly. (The fluoride in the paste will find its way to your teeth better via the body digesting it.)4. If you use a baking soda type toothpaste (like the Arm and Hammer brands rinse your brush well because the soda can attack the plastic of the brush.A down side of the brush is the cost. The heads are also very highly priced. (I was right there when I wrote that)5) Get a cheapo copy of the brush heads. Read a few reviews and get the best one for the right price.BUT and this is coming from a guy who try to save a few bob I can honestly say this electric tooth brush is worth every single penny. If you think of just how much you would miss your teeth when they have gone then thisDon't you think this would be a decent investment in your health? So, as I say at the start and make no apologies for repeating again. If you want to keep your teeth get an electric toothbrush like this one!

The Oral B PRO 650 was delivered well packaged with the contents protected by a polystyrene surround. The box contains the power toothbrush, a 2-pin charger, a 3-D brush head, instructions and the bonus 75 ml Oral B “Glamorous Shine” toothpaste. The power toothbrush arrived with a flat battery. It took about 16 hours to charge it on its base unit charger. Whilst it is charging a green light blinks on and off. Once charged, the light on the power brush goes out. I have a 2-pin to 3-pin adaptor so I plugged the charger into the mains socket. The pro 650’s own 2-pin plug fits the usual shaver sockets too of course. The voltage is 220-240VThe battery is supposed to last approximately for 7 days with two 2 minutes tooth-cleaning cycles per day.So this is equivalent to 28 minutes total run time. I decided to check this out and got 6.5 days before it needed recharging. So that is close enough and amounts to a week’s worth of brushing between charges. When the battery needs charging a red light flashes on and off on the handle. You know it needs charging anyway as the motor is very sluggish / stops! You can use any brush head with the PRO 650 including “Cross Action”, “Sensitive Clean”, “Floss Action” and “Trizone”The toothpaste tube is supplied with a foil cap under the lid, which you peel off. The toothpaste is blue and white striped. The toothpaste tastes quite refreshing and I did think my teeth felt smooth –via the “tongue test” – after the first 2 minute clean. Now after over a week of using the PRO 650 I can say that it is pleasant and easy to use and does the cleaning job perfectly. I am not sure how much whiter my teeth are – but they certainly still feel nice and smooth and this smoothness does last for quite a while after brushing. The brush is supplied with a overview operating guide covering brushes in the 500-5000 model range. The guide shows how to assemble the charger and how to move around your teeth in 30-second cycles to ensure you clean all of them thoroughly. The guide does show (item 4) that the brush glows if you brush your teeth too hard. This feature is not available on the PRO 650.The PRO 650 comes with a 1-year warranty and there is web address if you want to register it.The guide also tells you about safety aspects like not putting the charger near /into water –don’t! . The guide has a comparison table covering various models and their brushing modes. For the PRO 650, it says it can do the single mode of “Daily Clean –Standard for daily mouth cleaning”. I think this is pretty good in itself. My wife has tried the brush too and agrees with my comments above. So overall, the brush and head perform very well and the toothpaste is pleasant to use. You need to keep and eye on the brush head bristles to know when to buy a new brush head and maintain cleaning performance.

When I first got an electric toothbrush, I thought it was the Rolls Royce of toothbrushes, but I did not know then that there are a range of electric toothbrushes available that range from the Rolls to the Skoda. This might suggest that the lower end is a bad thing, but that is far from the truth, as they do exactly what you need them to do without all the flimflam that costs more money. The 'Oral-B Pro 650' is certainly in the more affordable end of the spectrum - in fact they almost give away the unit in the hope that you will buy plenty of heads over the years. The '650' is the standard model and worked efficiently and effectively. Push a button for it to start and then push it again to stop.It really is that simple. The head that comes with this model is ok, but does not feel like it cleans my teeth as well as some of the others I have tried from Oral-B. Thankfully, you can use any of the heads that are available on this unit. The build quality is decent and I have had no problems with charging and using the unit so far. This pack comes with an extra tube of toothpaste which is a nice bonus to have and seeing as it is whitening toothpaste, I do hope that any issues that the model had previously with this has been fixed - or why give some away in the same pack?Using the Oral B is a far better solution than a standard analogue toothbrush, but more expensive models do give you the sense of a better clean. However, at the asking price, the '650' is very good and does the job that you need. I am in two minds about making it pink. It suggests slightly that you can make anything appeal to a female demographic if it is pink, when the fact is that many women don't particularly like the colour. The shade that the device is by the by; it is the actual functionality that matters and this is the same no matter the colour.

The 'Oral-B Pro 650 Black Cross ActionElectric Rechargeable Toothbrush and Toothpaste' is a fairly basic yet highly effective electric toothbrush, with the quality that one would expect from this leading brand. The set contains a brush in white and black with a simple on/off button (it has only one cleaning mode, but certainly in my case I've had several brushes with up to five modes and have only ever used the one), plus a charging light and a light which indicates when the battery is low. The brush head supplied with this set is a 'crossaction' one , which has bristles going in slightly different directions to give a good clean in between your teeth. The crossaction head gives a gentle but effective clean, and genuinely does make one's teeth feel much cleaner and shinier than with a manual toothbrush (or indeed with some of the other oral-b brushheads). This handle can be used with any of the standard oral-b heads, so your other options would be precision clean, sensitive, 3D White or tri-zone, any oral-b heads other than those for the sonic brushes will fit this model. The battery life is good, lasting for a week with two two-minute brushing sessions per day. The charger supplied with this set is the 3757 type, which charges faster than the ones which came with older models of oral-b brushes. Please note that you will need a plug adaptor if you do not have a shaver socket available (I never understand why they can't bundle one with these brushes, they are inexpensive yet essential for many households).A nice bonus with this set is that it includes a 75ml tube of Oral-B Pro-Expert toothpaste, a deep-cleaning paste which is effective against cavities, plaque, sensitivity, tartar, bad breath and is also kind to enamel. It tastes pleasant and appears effective.Great value set. Recommended.

I had used manual toothbrushes my whole life, and one day I decided that I would make the switch to an electric toothbrush.Having never used an electric toothbrush before, I decided to buy a reasonably affordable one from a reputable brand. I'd heard of oral B before and I found this model, which also happened to be in a colour I liked and was surprisingly cheap, compared to other electric toothbrushes that can cost upwards of £40.After using the toothbrush for the first time you can tell the difference instantly. My teeth feel much cleaner after brushing them with this electric toothbrush compared to any manual toothbrush I have ever used.It is far easier to clean the hard to reach areas of your mouth and the back of your teeth with this toothbrush, and it cleans the gaps between your teeth much more effectively too.The toothbrush doesn't have any fancy features like variable brush modes/speeds - it does vibrate every 30 seconds to make sure you don't brush for too long, and a red light flashes when it needs charging. The only negative I've experienced is that the battery life isn't fantastic - it needs charging once a week minimum when used twice a day as recommended, but this won't be an issue if you keep the toothbrush on its charger when not in use.Overall, I'm very pleased with this toothbrush. if you're looking to buy an affordable electric toothbrush then I would highly recommend this one as it is great value for money. If you are looking for more advanced features then this probably isn't the right model for you as it is very basic in terms of features, but that is a worthwhile tradeoff for the low cost in my opinion.

On the advice of my dentist I already use an Oral B electric toothbrush and am very happy with it, so I thought I would give this a try. It takes a very long time to charge, according to the instructions up to 22 hours for a week's use, although I only gave it about 8. Once charged it is extremely vigorous, much more so than my Oral-B Vitality Plus TriZone. It also has a different action as the brush head is round rather than oblong and this took a bit of getting used to and initially there were some issues with it causing my gums to bleed, which it mentions might happen in the instructions . However, it feels like it does a very good job. It is quite loud, which means it's not easy to hear the buzzing sound that tells you when the recommended cleaning time is up. To be honest, I don't think that's that imprtant as I just brush my teeth until I get fed up with it. As usual, it comes with a two pin plug on the charger and you will need an adapter if you want to charge it via a three pin socket. There's no doubt that this is a very good electric toothbrush and definitely worth buying especially at the current sale price as it seems to do a better job on plaque than my regular one, however the rrp means I can only give this four stars.UPDATE: The biggest drawback of this toothbrush and the one thing that might have me going back to my old one is the length of time it takes to recharge. When a red light flashes on the handle it means it needs recharging and that takes 22 hours to fully charge it, which means if you brush your teeth twice a day you'll either only ever part charge it or you'll need a second toothbrush.

I’m completely won over by this electric toothbrush and genuinely wish I had started using it sooner. There is literally no comparison between brushing my teeth with a regular toothbrush and using this; my teeth feel a million times cleaner and it does the job in about half the time I’d spend manually brushing. In the box you get a slim lightweight handle, a charging stand and cable with a 2 pin shaver plug, a Sensi Ultra Thin brush head, and toothpaste. One of the handiest features of the set is that the handle has a battery indicator on it, so you get adequate warning when the battery is running low and can charge it; my husband’s electric toothbrush doesn’t have one and he is regularly caught short with a dead battery which he finds really frustrating. It also has a timer which vibrates every 30 seconds so you can keep track of how long you’ve been brushing which has been really handy as I get distracted with my two small kids. I have quite sensitive gums which tend to bleed with over brushing but I haven’t had this problem at all since using this brush, nor have I felt any discomfort during or after brushing. Although this comes with the Sensi Ultra Thin brush head, there are 5 other brush heads in the Oral B range that are compatible with the handle which means you have options to swap between them depending on your needs. Overall, this is fantastic value; I’d have preferred a spare toothbrush head instead of the toothpaste but it has everything to get you started and perfect for first-timers. It’s worth noting too that you will need to get a plug adaptor to charge this in a regular 3 pin socket.

I have had a few electric toothbrushes and two of the Colgate Omron's and I have been very pleased with the results and the way they work. Then I got an Oral B and I got why people rave about Oral B toothbrushes. It just works so well and gives a truly great feeling of having really clean teeth. To set it up you need to put it on charge for a whopping 22 hours and then it should hold a charge for 7 days. That is based on brushing twice a day for two minutes a time. It has a two minute indicator as that is the optimum time recommended by dentists. It has a visible pressure sensor and will light up when you are brushing too hard. It is completely waterproof too so need to worry about using in the shower (not that I do that mind). It also has a power display to let you know how much charge it still has. You also get some Pro Expert toothpaste which is excellent stuff (I already buy it) and it is all Made in Germany so nice to have a company that has not moved production to a cheap labour country. It can take any of the Braun's other heads for different treatments too and you can leave it in the cradle when not in use as it will not overcharge. They do recommend that you run it fully down at least once every six months - this is to maintain maximum battery life. I am currently wearing a brace and it has even managed to clean around it and the brace too, so I am more than impressed. The only downside is that it does not come with a carrying case for when you go away. That would have made this perfect, but is still not enough of a let down to knock a star off - simply an excellent electric toothbrush.

This is definitely the best electric toothbrush I’ve used. The handle is smart with a covered button that is easy to clean without getting clogged. It is very comfortable to hold and use.The cross action head is the very best in design to get to all the little crevices between your teeth so that the result feels super smooth and comfortable. These are easy to change with a gentle twist to lift off. Don’t forget to remove the coloured ring as a replacement is provided with each new head. These act as a washer and also help to identify different brushes if there is more than one person using the same designed handle. When inserting the new head, first slide on a new coloured ring and then push the new head on gently. The fit is snug and secure. I replace mine every four to six weeks and have a subscribe and save order set up with Amazon for the replacements to save a little money.Depending on how frequently you brush your teeth, the charge will last quite a long time, as much as a month. When the charge is low, a red light flashes just above the base of the handle. I find that a full charge takes about 16 hours and at those times I put it on to charge after the morning clean and leave it until the next morning. When the brush is charging, a green light flashes where the red light displayed. When full charged, the light goes out. Alternatively, you can allow a charge for a shorter period, but you will then need to repeat the charge more often. Charging is through a standard shaver socket or using a shaver adapter in a standard plug.

I've used Oral-B electric toothbrushes for years. I find an electric toothbrush cleans my teeth much more thoroughly than a manual toothbrush with minimal effort. I like the Oral-B models as they look stylish, are functional and easy to use. I got this particular brush to replace my previous model, also an Oral-B, which had lasted for around two years. Although there is nothing massively wrong with it, it doesn't store charge for as long as it used to as the internal rechargeable battery seems to be worn down. After having been used every day for two years by myself and my partner I have no real issue with this! This particular model comes with one the main brush body, and a charger one Oral-B whitening head and a tube of whitening toothpaste. The charger is two pins so you'll need to plug it into a razor socket or by a 3-pin converter plug. As far as I know, this is pretty standard for toothpaste chargers. The main body is very pink! Not subtle pink, but proper full-on pink! It's worth bearing this in mind if it's going to be on display in your bathroom!Personally, I like the whitening toothbrush, but I am not keen on the whitening head. It is extremely large in comparison to a standard Oral-B brush head, which I will be replacing it with. I don't feel that it cleans my teeth as well because it can't get to the teeth at the back of my mouth as well. For the first three days that I used this head it made my gums bleed quite heavily.Overall, this is a fantastic brush which I would highly recommend, but I don't like the head!

I DO LIKE THIS==========================I have to admit that I've been a user of the Oral-B range of toothbrushes for years. So in trying this I was always going to compare the Oral B with the Sonicare. After cleaning for two minutes your teeth just feel- wow clean. That said, it does have some features that I'll never use: the lower intensity setting. (Although if you have sensitive gums or have had crown work they may be features you'll use.)I really like this one as it's fast enough, light enough and holds a charge for three weeks. (So you can take it on holiday.)CHARGER=======It comes with the charging base.It also comes with a useful travel case.TRAVEL======As it holds a charge for 3 weeks it's more transportable or holiday friendly than the oral B range.CLEAN TEETH===========I have had squeaky clean teeth after two minutes using this toothbrush. I've also had the much more expensive Oral B toothbrushes and also tried the cheaper ones. This is much better than the cheaper ones. (They're a little slower) and the more expensive ones have a few more bells and whistles that you''ll never use. Overall this is ideal for most people.I think in terms of cleaning the Oral B and this are equal. But in terms of travel, this wins.STYLE======This is one of the most attractive electric toothbrushes that I've ever used. It follows their normal classic style.RECOMMENDED===========If you're after an electric toothbrush that's light and does a good job this is certainly one to consider. Hope this was helpful.

This is one of the simpler electric toothbrushes from the Oral-B range, but nevertheless offers a good cleaning experience at a reasonable price. The brush has a fairly slimline handle that's quite comfortable and easy to hold, and I like the pale blue colour of the handle. The brush has only one speed of operation (no sensitive, or 'deep cleaning' modes), but this is the mode I tend to use most on more comprehensive toothbrushes. The brush heads for this system are nice and small, and get effectively into nooks and crannies in the mouth. The toothbrush has an inbuilt timer, which causes a 'juddering' at thirty second intervals to show when the correct time has been spent in each quadrant of the mouth. This is a useful guide, although I tend to find myself not having finished in one 'zone' when the timer activates, and lagging behind the guide. A full single charge doesn't quite make it through a whole week for me - but it's not far off.The brush comes with a charging base with a 2-pin plug designed to fit in a shaver point, and can safely been left on this between uses. The base seems to be a standard model for the brand, and we share it between several different brushes, rather than have an army of charger bases. There's a basic brush pad holder surround that clips on to the base and holds a couple of brush heads, if you alternate between different heads, or share a single handle between family members. The base doesn't include any kind of cover for the brush heads, and the set doesn't include a travel case.

I have to start by saying I have been long time fan or Oral -B products and have used them for years. Like many people a decade or two ago I was very sceptical of the whole electric toothbrush concept - seeing it as for lazy people. However, once I started using them the difference in how clean they get your teeth is in-yer-face obvious, and I have used electrics for 15 years or more now. So what's new in that world? Well, this is!The back and forth motion of the toothbrushes I have used up to now is supplemented in this product by an in-out action. In a conventional brush the mechanism itself provides two kinds of moment (back and forth) but relies on you to move or press the brush to get other angles of access to teeth gaps and gum pockets. The key concept of this brush is that it provides additional angles by varying the pitch and intensity of the bristles so in combination with you moving the brush by hand far more angles get covered. So much for the theory, does it feel different? Yes, it does - you can feel that something is different. Of course I am not a dentist or a microbiologist, so have no way to absolutely know if my teeth are actually cleaner - but the feel of the experience gives me confidence that they probably are.The usual charging station arrangement and good battery life you get from Oral B - the two pin shaver mirror socket arrangement - which means you need an adaptor to 3-pin (not supplied) if your charger does not live in the bathroom.Comes with two heads.

We've always used Oral-B Pro electronic toothbrushes, so I don't have experience of another brand to compare it to. We recently replaced our Oral-B for a newer version just because we wanted to, not because the previous one had failed (although the rubber on the handle had started to wear off, but we've had years of use with a family of 5!). Once of the features I like about the Oral-B Pro brushes is the timer feature. The handle buzzes every 30 secs and then buzzes several times at 2 minutes (the dentist-recommended minimum time it should take to brush your teeth). The 30 secs intervals are to remind you to move to the next 'quadrant' of your mouth. This model is supposed to feature up to 6 different modes: Daily Clean,Gum Care, Sensitive, Whitening, Deep Clean, Tongue Cleaner.I haven't used all the modes yet, but for the ones I have used:- Daily Clean is the 'normal' setting with the 2 minute timer.- Sensitive operates at a lower speed which gives you a gentler brushing sensation.- Whitening mode alternates between speeds to supposedly "polish" your teeth.- Deep Clean extends the brushing time to 3 mins (and buzzes at 45 sec intervals as opposed to the usual 30 secs).I also really like the shape and size of the Oral-B round brushheads and that the fading of the blue-coloured bristles over time lets you know when to change it.

Having had electric toothbrushes in the past I for a few years reverted to manual ones as the cost of toothbrush heads are extortionate.I've had this for a year now and a few months ago the steel piece which the toothbrush head fits on to started to show signs of rust.It doesn't detract though from it still giving a good clean as the brush rotation is pretty good.It does need recharging weekly if you don't bother (like me) keeping it on charge; and that's from using it for 2-2.5 mins twice a day. Red light flashes (when in use) to signal need for recharge. I have this happened a lot and still get another use out of it.You may notice the difference in power and want to brush harder resulting in sensitive gums as brushing too hard anyway can cause receding gums. You will however, notice the power after a full charge (which if you leave charging all day but not during the night like myself, will take two day charges to restore.) There is near restored power even after one day recharge.Green light flashes when charging and stops when fully recharged. To buy or not to buy? It all depends on whether you want a well-known brand or a cheaper version that is probably just as good.Side note: I used to use their own brand toothbrush heads but don't anymore as heads tend to be universal fitting and just as good.
