I had used manual toothbrushes my whole life, and one day I decided that I would make the switch to an electric toothbrush.Having never used an electric toothbrush before, I decided to buy a reasonably affordable one from a reputable brand. I'd heard of oral B before and I found this model, which also happened to be in a colour I liked and was surprisingly cheap, compared to other electric toothbrushes that can cost upwards of £40.After using the toothbrush for the first time you can tell the difference instantly. My teeth feel much cleaner after brushing them with this electric toothbrush compared to any manual toothbrush I have ever used.It is far easier to clean the hard to reach areas of your mouth and the back of your teeth with this toothbrush, and it cleans the gaps between your teeth much more effectively too.The toothbrush doesn't have any fancy features like variable brush modes/speeds - it does vibrate every 30 seconds to make sure you don't brush for too long, and a red light flashes when it needs charging. The only negative I've experienced is that the battery life isn't fantastic - it needs charging once a week minimum when used twice a day as recommended, but this won't be an issue if you keep the toothbrush on its charger when not in use.Overall, I'm very pleased with this toothbrush. if you're looking to buy an affordable electric toothbrush then I would highly recommend this one as it is great value for money. If you are looking for more advanced features then this probably isn't the right model for you as it is very basic in terms of features, but that is a worthwhile tradeoff for the low cost in my opinion.

I've used Oral-B electric toothbrushes for years. I find an electric toothbrush cleans my teeth much more thoroughly than a manual toothbrush with minimal effort. I like the Oral-B models as they look stylish, are functional and easy to use. I got this particular brush to replace my previous model, also an Oral-B, which had lasted for around two years. Although there is nothing massively wrong with it, it doesn't store charge for as long as it used to as the internal rechargeable battery seems to be worn down. After having been used every day for two years by myself and my partner I have no real issue with this! This particular model comes with one the main brush body, and a charger one Oral-B whitening head and a tube of whitening toothpaste. The charger is two pins so you'll need to plug it into a razor socket or by a 3-pin converter plug. As far as I know, this is pretty standard for toothpaste chargers. The main body is very pink! Not subtle pink, but proper full-on pink! It's worth bearing this in mind if it's going to be on display in your bathroom!Personally, I like the whitening toothbrush, but I am not keen on the whitening head. It is extremely large in comparison to a standard Oral-B brush head, which I will be replacing it with. I don't feel that it cleans my teeth as well because it can't get to the teeth at the back of my mouth as well. For the first three days that I used this head it made my gums bleed quite heavily.Overall, this is a fantastic brush which I would highly recommend, but I don't like the head!

Having had electric toothbrushes in the past I for a few years reverted to manual ones as the cost of toothbrush heads are extortionate.I've had this for a year now and a few months ago the steel piece which the toothbrush head fits on to started to show signs of rust.It doesn't detract though from it still giving a good clean as the brush rotation is pretty good.It does need recharging weekly if you don't bother (like me) keeping it on charge; and that's from using it for 2-2.5 mins twice a day. Red light flashes (when in use) to signal need for recharge. I have this happened a lot and still get another use out of it.You may notice the difference in power and want to brush harder resulting in sensitive gums as brushing too hard anyway can cause receding gums. You will however, notice the power after a full charge (which if you leave charging all day but not during the night like myself, will take two day charges to restore.) There is near restored power even after one day recharge.Green light flashes when charging and stops when fully recharged. To buy or not to buy? It all depends on whether you want a well-known brand or a cheaper version that is probably just as good.Side note: I used to use their own brand toothbrush heads but don't anymore as heads tend to be universal fitting and just as good.

The listing presents this as an 'entry-level' toothbrush, but for me it was a huge upgrade, as I had been using the older 'Vitality' brush, which was no longer holding a useful amount of charge. If you're coming from the older brush (the ones which are slightly wedge-shaped, wider at the top), then here are the improvements:- Much faster brushing speed. My teeth really do feel much cleaner now.- Low battery indicator: flashes red when running low (so no more being caught out mid-brushing).- Charging indicator. Lights up green to show that the toothbrush is being charged (sounds like a small feature, but it was impossible to tell whether the old models were actually charging, and I always had to double-check the plug). In addition, the slightly slimmer handle might not seem like a big change, but feels much nicer in the hand. There is a built-in timer that buzzes the brush in a different manner every 30 seconds, which is intended to help you brush your teeth more evenly. I'm not sure that this is any more useful than the single buzz at 2 minutes from older models, but I guess it's nice to have. The only downside is that needs to be charged for 16 hours on first use.Given that this 'Pro' model is often cheaper than the 'Vitality' models, it really is a no-brainer upgrade.

This toothbrush is fantastic. First off, it is comfortable to hold. It is not too light and not too heavy so it feels easy to manoeuvre around your teeth. It is really powerful and you genuinely feel that you are getting a really good clean on your teeth. The most important factor is the battery life, and I find I can get at least two brushes a day for around 7 days before the red light starts flashing (and you could go for a day or two beyond that before it slows down). The charge usually takes about 24 hours. The light indicator flashes red when the unit needs to be charged and green whilst it is charging. The unit comes with a two prong charger,so you may need a UK adapter if you plan to charge an outlet around the house (unless your bathroom has the appropriate socket). The toothbrush has a gentle vibration every 30 seconds as a guide to let you know you should move on to the next quadrant of your mouth. This helps you know that you have brushed for at least 2 minutes, and you can carry on beyond that. The heads are easy to replace as well. Overall it is a fantastic toothbrush. It may not have the bells and whistles of the more expensive versions, but those features are not necessary and you can easily achieve a healthy brush with this product.

Bought this to replace an older model that had stopped holding charge. I had used a manual brush while I waited for this to arrive. Thank goodness for Amazon next day delivery which meant I only had to use the manual brush a couple of times! You can really tell the difference this makes to cleaning your teeth. The battery life is very good (compared to the old one) and I can easily go a whole week before charging it up at the weekend. It may last longer than that, but I've not tried. The timer feature is handy to know when you have spent enough time in each quarter of your mouth and the light that comes on to inform you that you are pressing too hard is good as it is quite easy to do,especially if you are new with these brushes.I looked at the other, more expensive models, but they don't seem to offer anything necessary above this one. Watch out for the cheaper models that are missing the pressure indicator - I think this is a very important feature. It comes with a nice travel case which is handy for when we are actually allowed to travel anywhere again (thanks, C-19)!

Over the years we have used electric toothbrushes of all brands. Although they tend to be expensive - particularly for replacement heads - it is always the Braun Oral B that we return to as, very simply, they have consistently proved to be the best. These days they always seem to be on 50% sales wherever you look. So when my faithful old brush - still in full working order - slipped out of my hand and straight down the toilet, I looked for a direct replacement (there are some things you can do with clean water and disinfectant - this was not one of them!). Don't buy the cheapest base models - they are limited in power - but conversely don't spend hundreds on the latest do everything toothbrush. This range cleans your teeth beautifully, a charge will last a week on two good cleans a day, and it is totally proven.Best of all they now make them with coloured handles so you don't need those silly plastic rings on the brush head to see who's brush belongs to who. 100% recommended.

Definitely the best toothbrush for the price. I pay around £20 for my toothbrushes and supply the whole family with these. You absolutely do not need to spend a penny more on any of the other models because they provide not a jot more in cleaning power or effectiveness.Be wary though that the sellers stop selling these cheap versions around Black Friday and Amazon Day sales and start plugging the expensive models so that customers think they are getting deal. Those are not deals and are in no way better than these base entry level brushes. Buy these when there are no sales on and you will save a lotThe battery power is just fine and keeps a charge for a couple of weeks and the brushing poweris almost too much - it leaves your gums feeling a bit bruised at first so start gently until you wear the brush down a little and adapt the mouth to the bashing these will administer.I particularly liked the pink one because it ensures that nobody mistakes my toothbrush for theirs

My old Braun Oral-B Vitality toothbrush handed it its cap in after about 5 years of sterling service. This seemed a good replacement and so it has proved. It cleans my teeth very effectively and leaves my mouth feeling fresh. At £21 (including Prime delivery) its is also well priced - indeed, you get a tube of Oral-B toothpaste thrown in. The quadrant timer is an excellent feature and I can see little reason for purchasing the more expensive models.I did have a couple of small gripes.Firstly, the original box was ripped as though it had previously been opened. However, as everything appeared to be untouched inside, I did not return it.Secondly, when compared with my old model, battery life is quite short and a full charge takes 22 hours! However, as we always place the device back onto the charger, its not really a huge issue for us.Registering the device extends the warranty to 3 years which is a bonus. Hopefully, we'll never have to use it!

I upgraded to this Oral-B 650 3d from my old Oral-B Electric toothbrush (I don't remember the model and it certainly was a basic one) which lasted over 8 years (could have lasted longer if my kids wouldn't have dropped it couple of times) and is still in working condition just that the battery does not last longer and therefore I bought new one.I chose this as price was pretty much decent and does have charging light indicator which my old one didn't have. I'm quiet impressed with Oral-B toothbrushes as they last quite longer period of time which makes it quiet fair with price and meanwhile you get clean and healthy teeth. The battery life per charge for this toothbrush using it twice a day daily lasts for almost two weeks with a full charge. In short, great quality build, charging light indicator, long lasting battery, timer function, cleaner & healthier teeth and the great price which makes this toothbrush worth every penny. Highly recommend !

This Braun Oral-B 650 3D Pink & White Electric Rechargeable Toothbrush was a small, but nevertheless high quality gift for someone very dear in the family who had been using the very same Braun Oral-B electric toothbrush (albeit with a blue and white handle) to great effect for a considerable number of years. (Obviously, the toothbrush's heads were replaced whenever necessary)The original toothbrush was replaced by this same-model new one because it began to require recharging much more frequently - too frequent for convenience - and its handle had, unsurprisingly given its years of twice, sometimes thrice-daily use, become cosmetically challenged.NB. Somewhat ironically perhaps, the writer of this review has for years happily used a Proctor & Gamble Made in Ireland Oral-B 1-2-3 Medium/35 manual toothbrush, replacing it with a new one every three (3) months or so, irrespective of the bristles' 'Indicator'. I used to have a much more expensive Omron from Colgate which was fine until I needed new toothbrush heads, then I had to wait for them to be on sale or bite the bullet. Eventually it got to a point where I lost my charger and I looked for a replacement online with none to be found, the solution to both of these problems? This toothbrush (or any Oral-B). The chargers are easily replaced, the heads are usually on sale (I was used to scrolling past sale price oral-b heads whilst I looked for Colgate ones) and there are cheaper compatible heads available too. In the long run this toothbrush is going to save a lot of money whilst also cleaning my teeth well!I've only had it a few days but it feels just as good as my previous toothbrush and the battery life has been great. The added bonus is that everyone else I know who has an electric toothbrush, also has an Oral-B so a lot of the time I won't even need to pack my charger if I'm going away

I’m a recent convert to electric toothbrushes and I’ve been pleasantly surprised with this. I genuinely feel the brush movement cleans my teeth far better than I was ever able to do with a normal brush, and I thought I was doing it well. I think one of the attractions here is that it’s cheaper to buy replacement brush heads than standard toothbrushes so in the end it’s worth the outlay.I like the design of the brush. It’s obviously been thought out so any build up of toothpaste on the body is unlikely and I love the indicator light that warns you of a charge being required. Another plus is the fact that the on-off switch has a plastic cover to protect it from water and other things (likedripping toothpaste).Charging does take quite a long time but a weekly overnight charge should suffice for most people. Now I’ve tried the electric toothbrush I think I’ll stick with it.

This is a very good brush; neat, good to hold and cleansing to teeth. To my reckoning, it has a little trouble counting 30 seconds accurately sometimes, but it's not a big deal nor far out of time. I can recomment the brush. Especially now the dentists are apparently a different generation and recommend brushing for 2 minutes! (It used to be 3 minutes when I bough my previous one). My favourite brush heads are the cross action ones, - thorough.I was really disappointed with the charger though. It's a mere 0.9Ah output, (they used to be about 1.2). This means that if you use the brush a mere 4 times, it will not fully charge overnight. Of course the brush will work next time and you can put it back on charge all day. Then it will fully charge. But what a mean, miserable way to carry on (in my opinion).Brush ace. Charger disappointing.

This was a replacement for my old electric brush, and it's an order of magnitude better. I don't know if my old one was just old and dying or this is that much better, but it doesn't really matter. It's really quite surprisingly powerful - it sounds like there's a 2-stroke engine in the casing - and the clean is commensurately good.I'm not one of these people who gives a technical breakdown in my reviews. Lord knows, I'm not a technical man. All I can say is it does that thing where it vibrates every thirty seconds, and my teeth genuinely do feel cleaner - the action is powerful enough to take the hard plaque that builds up off your enamel. The one downside is that the shaft of the brush seems designed to hold your mouth slightly open whilst you're brushing, resulting in you dribbling. But it's a price worth paying.
