Although this adaptor can seem costly the engineering is superb. This is a very high quality precision adaptor enabling the use of the old OM lenses of which i have several. The mount adaptor is a machined metal item providing a robust and very stable support to the OM lenses. This must be a minority product and therefore the cost seems very reasonable for something that must be made in relatively small quantities. It upholds the high quality I have become accustomed to from Olympus since first buying an OM1 35 mm SLR in the 1970's (a camera I still have in working condition). So whilst some may consider the price high just bear in mind the precision manufacture and its excellent

This is exactly what I needed to connect my old OM lens to my new four thirds camera.Na hassle, and the quality you can expect from Olympus.I wasn't at all surprised that the price on Amazon would be lower than the average retail one.I'm very happy with this purchase, it saved me a lot of money for a new lens.Recommendable for everyone who has an old lens but a new camera fitting!

Very pleased - can now use my collection of lens and filters, from my OM2, on my recently bought E420 digital SLR. I was annoyed that my old - very good lens- were now defunct! Yes it doesn't carry out all the functions that the digital camera can do but isn't that what photography is all about, experiment; discover etc? If you just want happy snaps buy a little compact!

To be able to re-use some of my old OM lenses with the Olympus E620 DSLR meant that buying this adaptor was not an option, but getting 1000mm (35mm equivalent) out of my old 500 "cat" is a real bonus. Still getting used to the new kit but my 50mm f1.2 OM lens should offer some interesting opportunities too.

This adapter has enabled me to utilise all my Olympus OM lenses, auto bellows and other equipment on my Olympus digital camera and as such has proved quite invaluable at providing a link between the old and new systems.
