This is an absolutely tremendous little set. I've done some make-up in my time, but I can control it, and one of the things that has never held temptation for me is contouring. I'm old enough to have salivated over the things Kevyn Aucoin could do with contouring, but the Kardashian-inspired obsession with the stuff just wasn't my bag. Also, I'm fair. Really, really fair. Even a glance at a pot of bronzer leaves me looking like I've been in an MMA title fight. But things change, and I needed to try contouring for reasons, but there was no way I was going to spend bags and bags of cash on a contouring palette I may never use. Enter the NYX Highlight & Contour Palette.Wow. Wow, wow, wow.There's a fine line between make-up that is poor quality (and barely pigmented) and high-quality make-up (with too much pigment), and this walks that line spectacularly. It's pigmented enough that you are never left frustrated by the lack of color, but not SO pigmented that you can't build the colors for better blending. There are shimmers AND mattes, which is very awesome, and while I was a little nervous about how dark the lightest dark shade would be, I find that with a moderate hand, it works just fine. Works well on different skin tones, too; my mother is a light Mediterranean tan with green undertones, and the palette compliments her coloring as well. The only thing I find subtracts from the quality is the staying-power. It wears well for a few hours, but smudges and deteriorates thereafter. I'm not sure it's something you would really want to try to re-apply. Also, I've really oily skin, especially in summer, so that probably has loads to do with the endurance.The reviews about broken boxes and smashed powders had me preparing for the worst when it arrived, but this little gem came in a bubble-mailer, inside another padded envelope. No displacement, no broken palettes.As I mentioned, I've never tried any other contouring palettes but I can't imagine the pricier ones being any better than this.

This is one of my all time favourite contour pallets. I've actually been using this pallet for the past few years and I would definitely recommend it!The colours are the perfect combination when blended no matter your choice of brown shading. What I love about this pallet is that it has warm undertone colours and pink undertone colours. When winter is here and were all a little paler, this pallet goes into light shades that flatter any face no matter how pale, the pink undertones compliment. As summer comes and our skin gets darker the pallet is ready with darker shades of brown with warmer tones!The highlighter isnt the most amazing but I think it's more for a natural looking glow.With just a few shades of this you could have a natural glowing face or you could boost it up and use the diagram on the back to contour a over for a full makeup look.The powders work very well. The colour picks up easily on a brush. No drop offs of powder.All colours blend very well together.The poids (container holding the powder) are all replaceable.Lasts a very long time!I would definitely recommend absolutely amazing pallet! Brilliant value. Diagram provided for those who are new to contouring. Perfect colour combinations.

I ordered this lovely set for my 17 year old daughter, she loves make-up and experimenting and had been looking for a new highlighter palette.This is a set of 8.My daughter has very pale skin so finding make up that suits such pale colouring can be challenging. Mixed together she can find the perfect blend and said it would suit a lot of skin tones as it goes from white to dark brown.There are 2 which have a shimmer which she particularly likes. All the colours are easy to apply and mix, but also remove easily at the end of the day. Apparently having the right brushes helps to get the correct blend! She can also add some of the colour as eye shadow. Its a much more natural set than many other highlighters which look fake when applied.Its also reasonably priced.Overall, a very nice palette and my daughter would definitely recommend it.

Professional quality make up.The contour and highlighter kit is a comprehensive kit that covers most skin tones, it would work in a professional make up artists kit as well as a standard make up bag.The rear has a quick guide as to where to use which shade in your face but there a million videos on the net to guide you if that is your preferred way of learning.The makeup is good quality with a good consistency that sits between cream and powder to give a long lasting product that can be applied with a brush or even your fingers if you just want a dab of higher in the corner of your eye.It lasts well, if you don’t rub at your face, I say this because I did get some transference on to both my fingers and a tissue.Lastly removal,I got it all off with just plain old tap water and my make up removing face cloth.

This contour palette comes in attractive packaging.On the back there is a guide to how and where to use the colours, handy if you do not have experience with contouring.There are 8 shades to use and mix together to suit your skin tone.I found 2 of the shades very similar in colour and both yellow toned which is not suitable for me personally but i was more put off by how similar they were. In the pan they look different but not on the skin. To me it was like having 7 colours not 8.The darker shades and the pinky highlighter are great. I am fair skinned but managed to find a blend to look fab.The darkest ones i would use as eyeshadows and eyebrow powders so they wont go to waste.Consistency isa creamy powder.Still looked good at the end of the day.Overall a nice pallete that would suit most skin tones.

I love this palate and the choice of the eight shades here - all of them except for two that are just slightly too similar are really well balanced and perfect for general highlighting and more advanced contouring. The darkest one is just slightly too dark for most uses for me but I can still use it for fine tuning and more dramatic looks for certain events and it's easy to to use with eye shadow for extra depth and creative eye play too. The powders are really nice and easy to work with and blend extremely well - effortless actually and it's really hard to go wrong with these if you know your contouring basics.I've got a few NYX staples in my collection and had a smaller contour kit from them previously which I loved too - great quality that is easy to play with.

There is no clear instruction of how t use the palette but with a bit of help from YouTube and the handy contouring picture on the back of the packaging, I got a passable result.The make up goes on easily and blends well. The added bonus is the range of colors from dark to lightThis amazing palette is sits between cream and powder to give a long lasting product that can be applied with a brush or even your fingers if you just want a dab of higher in the corner of your eye.Easy to take off using wet wipes.It lasts well, if you don’t rub at your face, I say this because I did get some transference on to both my fingers and a tissue.

Uploaded pictures of actual color with natural lighting. I love this palette it’s one of my all time favorites. The pigments are really good in quality for such a low buy. Palette works great for light to medium dark skin tone when working with contouring but can be used as as eyeshadows as well. Great for photography pictures. Has three shimmer highlights in three tones and the rest are matte. I have olive skin tone and absolutely love this palette on my skin but have used it on other skin tones and works great. I have yet to tried on darker skin tone but can imagine how beautiful it will look, will definitely try soon.

I stumbled across NYX products by accident when I decided to try a really bright eye pencil in Superdrug. It was one of the best I’ve ever used so I jumped at the chance to try this palette.I’m not the best at contouring but with a bit of help from YouTube and the handy contouring picture on the back of the packaging, I got a passable result.The make up goes on easily and blends well. The added bonus is the range of colours from dark to light. I used some of the darker shades as eye shadow, which I thought made the added value of this set even better!Would recommend.

I’ve never tried face contouring before but apparently it can make you look thinner so thought I’d give it a go! The actually palette is very nice looking, although some of the colours themselves looked scarily dark. The powder goes on smoothly. Some instructions on how to use this product would have been helpful as I didn’t get on with the face contouring at all! The powder seems to work well as eye shadow, and the lighter colours do make quite nice highlighters, so with a bit more skill I’m sure someone could put this kit to good use.

Very happy with the product, extremely pigmented just how i like it! Highlight and contour on point with these colors. Definitely will be replacing them as they are used up over time, i love that about this palette, its all replaceable! You don't need to go out and repurchase the entire palette again, you just order them online or whatever when you notice your running out, the refills go for $5 a piece on the NYX website. Prior to using this Palette the Kat Von D Shade-Light was my favorite, but now I've found a new LOVE!!!

This is a such a good collection of colours with everything from a light pearly to dark brown. The quality is superb, large cakes which take a big brush easily, and they don't crumble or spread colour all over the place which is common with poor quality.The back of the outer sleeve has a contouring guide which is very useful for beginners, and the box itself is heavy gauge plastic with a lid that snaps shut and keeps the contents safe.Excellent price and presentation, would made a lovely gift for anyone into make-up.

I have used a bronzer for contouring previously and the color didn't seem to match my face - you could tell I was wearing bronzer. With this set I can contour cheekbones and it looks natural - it doesn't look like I'm contouring. I especially like the color that is third from the left and bottom. The lighter colors vary in their sparkliness and opacity which is nice for different purposes. I would say it is a fine sparkle - not like a glittery sparkle, which is a sign of higher quality in my opinion.

Very good quality for price. It comes with lot of colors so it is very versatile because it adapts to all skin colors. My girlfriend is using 3-4 right now when she is doing her makeup and gives very good results.One more she likes is that you can substitute any color when it is finished because you can extract each of them as you can see in the photo.If you have any questions I will try to answer as fast as I can. The NYX contour and highlight palette comes in attractive packaging. It immediately grabs your attention. It has enough contour to keep any girl busy. They come in darker to warm tones you will definitely find one or two to suit you. The highlighters are great and even a banana powder for you warm toned girls. I’m cool toned and even I found ones I could use.I think the palette would make a great present.The price is reasonable too
