A decent controller. It's comfy to use and the rubber grip type things are, well...grippy and rubbery, it's nice. The analogue sticks also have a snazzy spiderweb pattern which I believe really enhances the character of the controller. The buttons are exactly the same as a PS2 controller, so maybe not great for XBOX fans. The controller is the ideal weight and has an overall impression of quality. Similarly, the software that comes with it is intuitive and easy to use. It allows you to map the controller to certain buttons on the keyboard. This means that you can use the gamepad on games like Resident Evil which don't directly support controllers. Of course, you can always turn this feature off so you don't have to type with buttons on the controller when using normal programmes!A downside of the Airflo is the slightly tacky appearance. It reminds me of an action figure from Toyz R Us..But there you go. I bought it because it was the only controller I could find in silver, black wouldn't have gone with my elegant silver PC setup you see. The Airflo also has a fan system. This is a bit of a gimmick; I don't use it alot.Basically, there's a dirty great fan on the bottom of the controller. You can have it set to high, low or off. It sounds like a hairdryer and makes your hands feel dry and crispy if you leave it on high. It's quite irritating. I sometimes use it on low if my hands are sweating so it does have its uses, I suppose. The controller would benefit from some kind of force feedback, hardly any decent PC controllers seem to have this...Overall, this is a great peice of kit for games like Need For Speed Most Wanted, it feels so much better than driving with the keyboard. The price is just right, and the build quality is good, gimmicky fan but good novelty value, looks a bit naff unless you're into Kinder egg toys.

I liked this control pad so much, I bought a second one. I have been playing video games since the days of pong and over the years, I have used many control pads. So what's there to like about this one? To begin with, it just feels comfortable in your hands, its responsive, and although the air flow (fan) at first may seem like a gimmick, once you use it, you will never want to go back to a regular game controller again. A fan sucks in air from the bottom of the control pad which than comes out the handles of the control pad cooling and drying your hands while you play ... and it feels great. There are two settings for the fan ... low and high but you will probably never need to use the high setting as the low setting does the job.The one thing that also separates this game pad from the rest is the fact that the software is so easy to use! I hate using a keyboard to play games and with this controller you set up the buttons, d-pad, and two analog sticks to mimic keyboard keys, and even mouse functions! There is only one slight drawback to this controller, it does not offer vibration or forced feedback. I purchased a Logitech 510 game pad with dual vibration / forced feedback for the times I want to feel the action in certain games ... but the software for the Logitech game pad is downright awful and I have still not figured it out! So if you are looking for a comfortable and responsive control pad with very easy to use software, this is the controller for you. If you can not live without vibration and are willing to struggle, and I mean struggle, with other companies software for their control pads, than this may not be the control pad for you.

OK. So if you have read many other critical reviews of this gamepad you know some of the shortcommings. Such as the d-pad not being the best to the number buttons being different than "normal". I'll tell you this, if you don't care about having a rumble feature and don't mind programming the buttons to meet specific game requirements this is absolutely the best controller you will find for the price (I paid $11.99 each and bought 3 to qualify for free shipping). I play mostly Nintendo emulators on our PC, mostly Project 64 for N64, with my children and these controllers are a couple orders of magnitude better than the el cheapo USB controllers I originally bought for the PC cause I'm, well, frugal. And I wasn't about to spend a lot of dough on controllers for sticky little kid hands to destroy. Responsive, good feel even in tiny 7 year old hands (my daughter, not me), and you can turn the fan off which is good because I find the noise quite annoying. The kids think it's cool though. I'll have to wait and see about long-term durability. But for 12 bones what do you expect? They seem solid and there is no creaking when you torque them while getting crazy during a game. They are a little light for me since I'm used to heavier gamepads with rumble feature but that's not enough for me to rescind my best cheapo USB PC contoller ranking for this great controller. Now if I could just get my Nyko Wii contollers to work correctly all the time.....

For the price, this really isn't a bad controller. The analog sticks and buttons all work well, and the fan is a nifty feature to have sometimes. I really only have 2 problems with this controller:1) Compatibility. I can't seem to get this to work with a lot of modern games2) The D-pad. I configured the movement in Snes9x (a super nintendo emulator) to the D-pad and tried to play super metroid, and it was completely unplayable. It has a ridiculously difficult time correctly reading diagonal D-pad presses. Then I tried to go for something simpler that only used 4-directional D-pad functionality, Megaman X, and it was still unmanageable - even only working with the simple 4 directional commands the D-pad was far too unresponsible to be adequate for gameplay.3)This could be a problem with the emulator, but in Project64 I'm having an impossible time getting the analog stick's full range to be utilized. There'll be a huge dead zone along the outer edges of the stick's range, meaning that full presses are very easy to do, but gameplay that requires sensitive analog movement (zelda shooting gallery, super mario 64 platforming etc.) becomes ridiculously difficult. I've ordered an xbox 360 controller for windows, so I'll use that and see if the problem persists and update this review with the results. But, for the most part it's a good controller for the price. If amazon allowed more detailed reviews, I would have given this 3.5 / 5 stars.

OK so i was hoping to get additional game controllers but sadly I was unable to get the logitech precision pads (without the analog sticks) because they are no longer sold... so i decided to give this paddle a try. This paddle works great if you like using the analog stick but I am an old time gamer and rather use the D-pad. Unfortunately the D-Pad on this controller is very stiff. I like my D-Pad to have the same feel as the X-Box controllers where the D-Pad has full range of motion. This does not. This controller does perform well without any other issues though and it has the ability to cool your hands off. The airflow works best on the medium setting and it takes about 30 seconds before you feel it start hitting your palms but it is great none the less. The best part about this paddle is the long cord. Most other paddles come with a 6ft cord, but this comes with a 10ft cord. It also has a strip of velcro so that you can manage the cord well upon storage. That is all.

I have an older Win XP, P4 2.8 GHz, 1.25 GB RAM system (from 2003) that I wanted to hand down to my 'special needs' younger brother, who needs his first PC to learn on and keep busy with. I needed a simple, inexpensive controller with which he can play some older (but classic) 'Need For Speed' games with ('Hot Pursuit 2' and 'Porsche Unleashed'). This Nyko controller fits the bill perfectly, and is easily customizable with the included software. Installation was a breeze, and the Nyko controller was 'plug and play'. It took me about 3 minutes to install the Nyko software and to customize the controller so that I could use it to accelerate, brake, and steer with the 'NFS' racing games. The internal cooling fan actually works great, and I leave it in position #1 (slow) so as not to be too noisy (position #2- fast, is a lot noisier). All in all, this is a bargain of a controller, with a good quality feel to it, and a great value. One of my better all time Amazon purchases!

I debated between buying 2 xbox 360 controllers(60 bucks) and 2 of these Nyko controllers(22 bucks). I opted to go the inexpensive route and am mostly glad I did. The controller hardward is great. Nice, comfortable grips with great buttons and joysticks. The joysticks even function as buttons when you push them in. Very customizable buttom mapping. Work beautifully in the games I've tried them in such as all the Lego games(Harry Potter, Star Wars, etc.) And they also work perfectly with emulations. The only drawback about being an off-name brand is that some PC games do not have support for this controller(Trine, L4D). There is a workaround to it by downloading 3rd party software that seems to overcome these issues.Overall I am very glad to have purchased these and it is winter here so I have yet to try the cooling fans and look forward to warmer weather when I may need to treat sweaty palm syndrome.

The fan idea was pretty neat. On High, it can make your cursor twitch a bit though, so if you're playing a game that requires precison (such as shooting games, or trying to pitch in a baseball game), turn the fan on Low if you need it. You get roughly the same amount of air anyway.D-pad is alright, maybe a little more responsive than other controllers I've had in the past, but you get used to its handling pretty quickly. Analog sticks move pretty well, no complaints there. The Start button seems to be the lowest of the 3 buttons in the middle (aka 11), and not sure which button is Select, as I don't play any games that require the Select button. The extra buttons (5-8), particularly the two bigger ones (7 & 8),feel kinda loose, but they work fine. I may keep an eye on this, but not sure it'll be a concern. All in all, I'm pretty happy with this controller.

The size of the controller is good for larger hands, which i like. The fan is nice if you are playing for an extended period of time, though it can be louder than one would like. The thumb joysticks don't have quite the resolution that I'm used to on the xbox or ps. I haven't played a shooter yet, so this may or may not be a problem for a game that requires precise control. It has some weight to it, which makes me feel like its solidly buit. It's plug and play, which is nice. The chord is extra long, which is another sign of good quality. They could make it cheaper with a shorter chord, but they chose not to, which i appreciate.I've used few other controllers for the PC, but this one is the best so far.I wouldn't consider getting another one at this point, but we'll see if the joystick resolution becomes an issue down the line.

You know a product is great when you can make a couple of ten year old boys Green with ENVY!!! My friends ten year old son and his ship mate were playing call of Duty and were begging me to play with them (XBox One with Premium Controller). I then placed my Nyko Air controller in the friends hands, turned on GTA Vice City (An old game? Remember Moses and The TABLETS? Moses had Apple IPad 1s (2 Gig Ram).I then had the youngun drive a Voodoo ('59Chevy Low Rider) as I flipped on the air. The kid Screamed 'AWESOME!!!!!!'" I sneered 'Your fancy controller doesn't have air? Like DUDE, how do you deal with the sweaty palms thing? Then I did my taunting little dance: "Old School Rules!!!Old School Rules!!!This controller is for PC games, is no longer made and only available USED. Use it for 10 years, throw it away, Get another one used!!!

You can map it to keystrokes with the software supplied on the driver CD, it's easy to set up, very well packaged and solid, designed with a lot of care and attention and the fan feature, instead of being a novel extra is a really nice sensation when you've been mashing for a while. There is one downside to this product and that is the D-pad which is overly sensitive, (you have to push left or right really accurately in the center or it'll register as diagonally up or down) and a real thumb grinder. I had a blister after 10 minutes of Street Fighter and had to instead transfer the load to the tip of my thumb. It's a shame really,I chose this product because it didn't have one of those circular D-pads which is prone to snapping but this one is a bit too harsh.

With in 2 days of placing my order for the Airflo PC controller it had arrived from the supplier (Piranha) in the condition & description as described on Amazon.I have been using the controll pad to play classic console & arcade games on my Vista laptop & found the button configuration easy to setup, especially with the keyboard capture function that is included on the CD-Rom software that comes with the controller. If you are use to using a Playstation controll pad I would highly recommend this product which also has the added bonus of onboard fans inside the hand grips that serve you well when ever your hands get to warm from long sints of gaming.A great budget controller at a great price.

This is a fantastic buy. Works with many types of games, is very comfortable in the hand with easy-to-reach buttons, and is easy to install, with a USB connection and a disk to install the software. The fan. The fan! For anyone who may be in doubt, the fan does work, and the extremity of the two phases of fan (high and low) are evident upon using it. And don't worry, you can turn it off when it's not needed. It does make a slight noise, understandably, but it's not so loud as to have the need to turn your game up. An amazing buy for any PC gamer in a variety of climates. (I now have three of them for when friends visit, they're just so great in quality, in my opinion.)

A great controller, does what it says on the tin; works with anything you can use a keyboard and mouse for and has two pretty cool cooling fans. Currently I play games like guild wars with it and can sit back and relax where I would usually be leaning over a desk. Unfortunately this is a great pad that has been eliminated by the XBOX360 pad era. Any game you wanted to play with the 360 pad and there are a few 360 pad only games forget it. Even though this pad comes with its own MS compatible button config MS has been clever and killed off the relevance of 100% compatible configs and forces you to buy a 360 pad even though great pads such as this exist.

It works just as well as any other game controller, but this one is rigged with the sweet air flow control. The user can manually select the air flow from off to medium to high. I personally put it right away on high mode. The air is strong and cool. Windows 7 64bit edition recognized it right away and with in minutes of opening the box I was using it to play games. The software included in a cd can be used to full customize the controller and also there is a option to use the controller instead of the mouse and keyboard to surf the net.
