This is differant, and a pleasant change for all those sheepish Tycoon type games. On my Win 7 computor, had little trouble installing it, but does take some time. To people whothink the last part of the installation is missing, it isnt, It installs much later, while preparing or even looking atjobs board.I done my first Job, but using the terrible handling Cessna Caravan, well I found it so :PI sold it, and decided to lease the King Air instead, which carries more, flys faster, so less timespent getting to a destination. I havent tried the King Air yet, but flown the one already in FSX and alsoa virtual one In another World (second Life). Amazingly after 2 failed attempts to get the Caravan down in one piecealthough I landed on the Grass,\o/but taxied to runway, Once engines switched off, was taken to Air cargo, and said unload cargowhich was toys for around £7,900. looking foreward to next job, Easter Egg delivery Looks a good cargo at this time, good return, may be a special :PUpdate 21/04/2012After using this for some weeks now, I have found several Niggles, that may help you, if you bought this recently:First, Always Install FSX first, if you just bought both. If you install Air haulier First, it wont install properly to FSX.Second , The dreaded FSUIPC is an add on, and you MUST have it. FSUIPC does NOT install at the same time as Air Haulier, a window to install this software only become available, when Your actually starting to Do Jobs!! Bit silly really. To found out if FSUIPC has installed ok, After install has finished, open FSX as normal, and open a flight plan and just get a plane onto the tarmac. On top left of screen where it says options etc. Open the Tab that says ADDONS. If FSUIPC drops down, then its installed. if it doesnt appear, Air haulier wont work and you will get an error exeception window when you try load unload of fly any cargo. So always accept a job First, to get the install FSUIPC software window. Some other things to know. This is Not face book game, your Aircaft once it lands at the airport and unloads Stays there, IT doesnt automatically, return your base. You have to find a nearest Airport where you are, which means opening the Jobs window, and selecting "Incoming TO Base". Now Fly to relocating base, to pick up cargo, and then file new IFR to take that cargo back to base.lastly 2 things, must rememmber, YOU should pick your first base, that is at high end of fees. If you did what I did, Picked Shoreham Airport, because it was cheap to start up with, yYou may be in for some hard lessons. First, approaching it in a Bomabadier jet, I found out, it had no ILS, and was near a hill. I hadnt taken into consideration, what size runway it was, horrified, I tried to land this jet, on a Runway no wider than carriage way of a Road! Even worse, It ran sraight off runway, cos it was too short, and ended up in the english Channel!!! For veterans of FSX, these seem like simple mistakes, but its a very steep learning curve. OK last item, I found Changing the weather in-flight to "realtime Weather", real weather, where your flying, is not very stable, it played havoc with my Air hauluer, its crashed twice, The internet you need to use it, can suddenly lose your connection. Problem is, that this directly affects the Plane, and My bombadier, although at 5000Ft and had Autopilot on for it and heading, it just kept going down. No controls had any effect. So in my experiance, keep to Static weather, and just change the themes.Happy cargo handling:P

Perhaps the one big problem with the Microsoft Flight Sim series, is that it has never given you a reason to get in a plane and fly it from A to B.Air Hauler gives you this reason, at the least for MSFS IX & X.Your aim is to build a global air cargo business, starting out with just a few thousand in the bank and an old Cessna. You do this by opening bases at MS modeled airports and flying cargo around the world. As you gain wealth and reputation you can buy, or lease more aircraft and even hire AI pilots who will fly them for you (This element is a 'paper exercise' done within AH and not modeled in FS). However,it is done well and players will often find themselves spending time flying a desk as they do their managerial bit. While making money is one of the main aims of the game, the more important thing is gaining reputation. Reputation is gained by the player successfully flying missions, not the AI pilots. The more reputation you have the more pilots you can hire and opens up bigger aircraft for you to fly. There are some nice touches to AH too, such as Real World fuel monitoring, which then is used in game, a maintenance system that actually feels realistic, along with random faults occurring, which can turns a lucrative mission into a big money looser for you. The missions are not just 'fly so and so to somewhere before such a time' to win or loose, it also has a nice partial failure system, so you can gain something if you have to land at an alternative airport, as happens on occasion if you have real weather switched on.AH does have it's faults, such as, for example, when you are doing a multi leg mission you have to close down MSFS completely between legs, you don't appear to be able to Alt+Tab back into FS as stated, at least I cannot, and I'm using a new beast of a computer built for FSX specifically. But none of it's faults are game breaking, more just niggles. If you follow the links to the game forum you will soon see that this is a work of passion done by one person. While it may lack the slickness of something done by one of the big gaming houses it more then makes up for it by the obvious love and dedication that has been put into it. The producer is very in touch with people who are using AH and it is very much a 'work in progress' that is supported by regular patches and future 'pay for' add-ons.At the moment AH only caters for air cargo. However, there is a passenger version in the offering. Though as yet it is unknown if this will be a stand alone second program, or a plug-in to expand on the original. To summarize, if you want a reason to crank up either FS IX or X, then AH is a must have. It's not perfect by far, but it works well, does what it says it will do and can add hours if head scratching as you 'fly your desk' making sure that all of your pilots are doing what you want them to do

There are a lot of add ons for the Flight Simulator X on the net, that makes it sometimes hard to find what you're really looking for. I was looking for an add-on giving flights a sense, instead of just flight a plane from A to B...After installing the game I couldn't make it run. It took me two days of searching the net, a lot of effort and even more help of two IT-guys to make it happen, finally. So if you buy Air Hauler and it doesn't run promptly don't be disappointed. Just stay calm and get some help to make it run-, it's really worth the effort!I'm playing it daily and I can asure you that it's really addictive.Open your company, plan and take out your flights carefully to make sure you can make the jobs in time.Make your company grow by employing some pilots after making enough money to buy used or new aircrafts or you can even lease a plane..., everything's possible.Take care of your planes and keep them in good shape. Repairs might be necessary after you or one of your pilots have landet to hard and if you're too tight to insure the aircrafts you have to pay for it all yourself. Open bases wherever you need to to get more contracts, open the Air Hauler Radar to see where other players are and chat with them if you want to.Keep an eye on the costs like base monthly rental charges, pilots wages, insurance fees... All sorts of graphics and statistics helps you to archieve your goals and keep you up to date.Air Hauler offers you a lot of fun and gives you a chance to be really creative. A great idea and a must have for every Flight Simulator junky.

As the title says, an excellent addition to FSX! A very well thought out product which gives a greater purpose to the sim; you can now visit all manner of airfields both big and not so big and there is now a reason to it.Just one small bug with me. As it's played in "real time" it means that once you accept a job you must complete it by that time or you will lose reputation. And reputation, rather than money, is what this is all about if you want to progress. There are times when life gets in the way, however, and I end up regularly having to "fast forward" flights to get them completed in time which takes away more than a little of the enjoyment. And if you don't do any jobs for a while, say because you have a week's holiday, you come back to find your reputation has plummeted. But still well worth purchasing.

I use FSX and this add-on is a must if you want to put some more purpose in your flight sim. The software from Just Flight is bang on and runs perfect. In my experience you can't go wrong with anything from Just Flight and I have several add-ons from them and all work with no probs. In Air Hauler you can set up your own company at an aiport of your choice then its just a case of buying or leaseing a plane, pick a job, load and fuel up and take off. When you start Air Hauler on your PC and you click the "fly yourself"button it automatically starts your FSX at the airport of your choice. You get paid when you land and unload your cargo (aircraft has to be stopped and engine off to do this).Hope thisreview helps and happy flying.

Since purchasing this add-on I have found my flying much more interesting and as previous reviewers have said it gives a real purpose to jump in the cockpit.I love the fact that only by flying jobs yourself can you add to your reputation (no cheating by using AI pilots) although you must be careful not to set impossible tasks for them as they can easily lose you both reputation and cash.I find the game totally addictive and am fast becoming a flight sim widdower! This, although I have been shifting cargo for 5 months now it hasn't lost its appeal like some other add-ons.Many thanks to "Just Flight" for a great product.

This is a great little sim programme, easy to set up and run. You just need to be aware of where you base your company because landing fees vary greatly. I'm going to set up a regional company using the Cessna Skyvan trading on short haul from wherever I make my base. Less money made but more take offs and landings. Try and land a gently as possible, because the programme will add slight damage to your aircraft repair costs and your cargo. I really like this programme, it's good fun.

I love FSX as I always wanted to be a pilot, but age, size and time prevented me from ever flying for real.FSX is the closest thing to actually flying, but it was starting to get boring with no real aim to the game.Bring on Air Hauler......now I have an actual aim to the flight sim. There is a bug that occassionally crashes FSX mid flight when running under AH control, but thanks to the many forums, there is an easy solution.A good game that brings added interest to FSX.

28.7.2009

An absorbing and challenging FS add-on. The option menus are intuitive and fairly straightforward, although I initially experienced some minor problems with setting up the loads and fuel quantities - my fault! The relief at finally bringing home the cash, and achieving 'a greaser' night landing, was very realistic. See you on the radar!

20.10.2013

I enjoy flying sim games 2004 plus a lot of add ons so I brought Air Hauler,to be more envoved in a air freight company, It started off well but then had a problen with FSUIPC ERROR#9 WILL NOT connect to flight sim downloaded FSUIPC but with no luck still trying

26.7.2017

A good add on to MSFS it also runs stand alone. It actually runs in real time so if ypu let it run in the background a 10 hour flight takes 10 hours. If you turn your conputer off while it is running it will catch up when you reboot.

9.5.2009

GOOD PLAYING GAME,ONLY ONE POINT IF YOUR LIKE ME AND FLY JETS,THIS GAME COULD START WITH MORE CASH,HAS JETS COST.

9.1.2015
