I used to smoke about 25 cigarettes a day. My problem with smoking wasn't just that I was hooked on cigarettes but that I actually enjoyed them. Several years ago, I finally plucked up the courage to try to quit. I think it helps if you have a good reason for doing it. For me the motivation was that I was so fed up with the way I felt when I had to go without a cigarette in places like airports and on long haul flights.I knew that if I tried to quit smoking I was probably going to end up eating more. As someone who, at the time was weighing in at close to 20St, I couldn't afford to put on even more weight so I decided to give the gum a go.It is sugar free so there is no harm done to your teeth and no calories to put on weight.In my case, I also found that while I was chewing gum, I wasn't eating anything else so in fact I actually started to lose a little weight rather than putting it on. I also found that I would sometimes chew away at one piece of the gum for up to an hour which helped keep me away from the biscuit tin. Personally, I prefer the 'Freshmint' flavour to the 'Original' Flavour but it really is a matter of personal preference.Because I always enjoyed smoking (and still do), I occasionally 'treat' myself to a real cigarette. However, this amounts to about 2 packets per year and that is good enough for me. Obviously in light of this, I don't class myself as a non-smoker.Compared to the cost of smoking, the gum is much cheaper and far more socially acceptable. My only problem is that after all these years, I still chew the gum. However, unlike cigarettes, there appear to be few long term negative effects of Nicotine consumption. So it seems to me that on balance, I am much better off chewing the gum than smoking more than a packet of cigarettes every day.If you really want to give up then I would suggest giving the Freshmint gum a go. It won't work for everyone but it might work for you.

I came from 20 years smoking cigarettes (up to 30 a day), to switching to e-cigs 2 years ago. I found e-cigs very helpful in getting off the real ones, but I just ended up vaping all day (which upset my stomach) and so decided to give them up too.This is nice gum, tastes clean and gives a good hit when you chew it. I prefer to chew it gently occasionally and then leave it between my gum and cheek. It doesn't give the same immediate buzz as a cigarette (it gives a strong tingle on your gum and then the withdrawl symptoms slowly start to decline over 3-5 minutes), but once you become confident that your withdrawal symptoms will ease away to nothing with these, it's fairly easy to switch.I started having one about every hour,but now only have one in the morning, one at lunch and a couple in the evening (maybe one or two more during the day if I'm stressed over something!). They may be addictive, but I have found them far easier to regulate than smoking or vaping.

I got these for my husband as he is trying to quit and combines the gums with the patches. It works really well for him as when he is on the patch he still gets some cravings once in a while and the gums get rid of them. Therefore, I would recommend to solely use these if you quit smoking unless you maybe smoke only a few a day. I also find that these smell more pleasant than other brands as with others you can smell the nicotine on the breath. I think as a non smoker I might be more perceptive to that. Anyhow, do not leave them lying around kids or stupid people like me as once I mistook them for normal gums and almost threw up LOL

It’s good stuff. Good flavour. Works well. The only thing is I guess some gum, upon spitting it out, is yellow, indicating it’s strength I’ve found, and some is white or just paler, and those either have very little effect or none at all. It’s still pleasant gum to chew though and it’s all quite helpful to stop lockdown munching. I just wish I knew how many calories each piece of gum was. 1g of sugar alcohol per piece must be 6 cals then, but that’s an estimate.

Check that this strength is suitable for how many you smoke a day. This was too strong for me but no problem - I just cut one in half and only needed to chew it for about 1min and it satisfied my craving. I stopped smoking in February and this was a big part of helping me quit. I would have one of these at the times of the day where it was so routine for me to smoke (lunchtime, after work) and it got me through the first couple of weeks.

I can't possibly give any stars to a product which is addictive and costs so much! The stars are for the delivery service - it arrived when I was unable to get out and shop, was short on time and needed to stock up for Christmas.I gave up smoking four years ago with the help of this gum - sadly I can't seem to get off it now - so it's about time someone invented a product to help with Nicotine withdrawal symptoms.

I have gone from electronic cigs to mouth spray i am now on the gum witch i find helps ...2 months i have given up and have found nicorette gum to be the most effective. For the people who have given this bad rep should really stop moaning as you cant get a better price anywhere elese. 105 pieces for £12 is great when you have to pay £6 for 30 Pieces in the shop.

Since giving up the smoking I am now addicted to the gum... better than smoking I assume.These were priced considerably lower than the supermarket price. Delivery was swift and efficient.They remain a good price but worth keeping an eye on the high street prices as from time to time these are offered as a deal for less than here, by Boots and ASDA.

These have been very helpful in my quit smoking journey. It has been more than one Year now the longest I have gone without a Cigarette and have no desire to go back! These can be expensive if purchased regularly, so i switch to ordinary chewing gum every now and then. I do recommend Nicorette to those looking to quit.

I took this for my mum as she said she wants to stop smoking. The gums work and they do the job but she still smokes; I guess it take some will to actually stop smoking after 35years.But at least she is smoking 3 times less than before, so I’m still very happy with how it worked.

Absolutely !!! I love the flavour ! It lasts ! I started having one about every hour and a half. Started one month ago. Occasionally I still feel my fingers empty .. time for another gum ! One more month, maybe two and I think I'm ready to quit for good.

As a reformed ex-smoker, chewing gum is my substitute of choice. Many variations of gum are available in the market but personally I prefer the taste of this product and this combined with a low price makes it just right for me.

The flavour is great but be careful how long you chew it for. I smoke about 20 a day and got the 2mg ones. They work great and definitely takes the craving away. Be prepared for a sight head rush and a mild kick to the throat.

not much to say - it does what it says on the box - provides the required hit of nicotene. gave it the good rating because it is cheaper than a well known certain high street chemist and value for money is what we all want!

I had not tried to seriously stop smoking,but had managed to cut down to twenty a day.Requested the free stop smoking pack from the N.H.S.and with the help of this product haven't touched a cigarette for 4 months.
