Bomb Cosmetics Christmas Ballotin Handmade Gift PackThis is a lovely little gift set for people who enjoy soaking in the bath. The products contain some really nice ingredients and smell divine. However, they also contain known skin irritant SLS so may not suit some people. Essential oils can also irritate the skin.=== THINGS I LIKE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT ==* This little gift set is presented smartly, wrapped and ready to go for the bath lover in your life. On the outside is matt wrapping paper in a Christmas theme tied with red ribbon and with an attached cardboard label (but nowhere to write a greeting), with details of the product on a label stuck on the back.Inside is a plain cardboard box containing six bath melts individually wrapped in cellophane and cushioned in tissue paper.* These bath melts are based on cocoa butter and shea butter, and slowly melt in the bath providing a lovely moisturising effect; they can take quite a while to melt, meaning you really do have to have a proper soak and that's no bad thing.* These products are charmingly quirky and hand-made; the bath bombs themselves will have been formed in circular moulds with two halves pushed together, and then there's individual piping and finishing on top. They are just charming.* No violent fizzing - you can just lie back in the bath and relax=== NIGGLES ===* All the bath bombs contain sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) (apart from one, which contains sodium laureth sulphate). SLS is an inexpensive chemical that's used widely in mainstream personal hygiene products. It is a detergent and surfactant, which means it breaks surface tension and separates molecules to allow better interaction between the product and your skin/hair. This creates a lather which makes products more effective as cleaners. SLS is also found in industrial cleaning agents like engine degreaser. It’s also widely used as a skin irritant when testing products used to heal skin conditions. This means soaking in SLS can cause skin irritation, even at low concentrations, when left on the skin or hair for some time and is best used in products that are on the skin only briefly.* Essential oils can also be skin irritants* The bombs are packed with colours and fragrance* In a couple of the bath melts, there's more perfume than shea butter. For sale at the time of writing this review at £12.59.

The haunting autobiography of Tod Lammy, the founder of Lammy Cosmetics. In the preface to the book Tod explains ''I have never been the same since the age of five when I spent the night in hospital waiting to have my tonsils removed. I remember that the boy in the bed next to me - his name was Roger Makin - threatened to bring in his pet lion to attack me. I was terrified, and in the early hours of the morning, transfixed with fear about the lion and unable to sleep. I made my way barefoot in my pajamas carrying my toy bear, through the ward, out of the building and into the street. I was completely lost and couldn't even find my way back to the hospital. I wandered around the deserted streets and eventually fell asleep, shivering with cold and completely exhausted in the back of a delivery van where I was discovered later - but so traumatised that I could not even remember my own name - which is still the case. The authorities were unable to trace who I was and although I was able to explain about the hospital, were unable to find a record of such a place in the area. Numerous enquiries were made, but nobody ever came forward to claim me. I never recovered the memory of my former life or background.Although all that is in the long distant past, I sometimes think back to the mystery that is me. Who am I, where do I come from, who brought me into the world and where are they now. I don't like to dwell on it , it's enough to drive one mad. That night, lying in bed listening to Roger threatening me with his lion seems so clear and real - I can see it now, but before that there is nothing . Would it be so difficult for some infinitesimally tiny mental connection to spark in my stubborn brain and for the huge heavy iron gates to the garden of my past to swing open. Sometimes I can even see the colour of the flowers, smell the balm of the air and hear the birds singing from the laden branches of the trees in the golden valley stretching out forever in front of me''

After reading some of the reviews written here I felt almost put off, but seeing multiple people complain about the "size" of the bath bombs and someone actually gave the measurement, I used that to measure the bath bombs my fiancee has already and low and behold these Chocolate one's are bigger than the one's she has. So size wasn't a concern, we've had those massive bicarb bombs before, they have a nice smell at first but don't do anything in the bath i.e. poor quality smell in the bath, not enough oils etc to actually "do" anything for your skin.Anyway, this was a gift for my fiancee for her birthday. When it arrived it came just as seen, not torn or broken, oh and as far as flimsy cardboard goes its quite stiff, its glossy card! It was even bundled in the same package with a big thick body building book and other birthday gifts, nothing crushed it or damaged it and that was delivered by Royal Mail in the standard post.People complained that the box was tiny, the bombs are pathetically small, yet I found that if anyone knows "chocolate", they'll know and just from the picture, "fine chocolate" comes in these kind of boxes. I thought it was a perfect imitation of fine chocolate and as such this box size is actually a large for and just to clarify; "fine chocolate" aka the top quality chocolate and not commercial average grade stuff. As soon as my fiancee opened the box she was hit with an intense aroma of chocolate smells, and I have to say it too was immensely enjoyable to get a whiff. They seriously look and smell so good you actually have to prevent yourself from taking a bite! Also a nice touch from cake cases (imitation of) to using real chocolate to decorate by hand. She is thoroughly excited and happy with this gift.Everything and anything I can rate this, 5*, cannot fault it. Wish people would actually review the item and not the delivery problems they have, that's not the products fault, that's the delivery service & handling to blame.

This handmade gift pack from Bomb Cosmetics is an absolute dream … gorgeous bath times treats all in a 'Christmas Ballotin' themed gift box.The whole experience of receiving one of Bomb Cosmetics Gift Boxes is one of complete and utter bliss … well, it was for me. Opening my Amazon parcel and finding another gift wrapped parcel was a pleasant surprise … the gift wrapping is neatly done and very pretty with attractively designed 'red berry and green holly' paper, a gift card and a red ribbon tied in a bow. Inside was a plain box that as soon as I opened it a myriad of scents hit me full on. Powerful stuff.Inside the plain box were six gorgeous bath products all sitting securely on a bed of straw. All items were in perfect condition and they looked so pretty I even thought it would be a shame to use them … however use them I did.Mum's pampering time will never be the same again … with a pretty Santa Hat Mallow, We Three Kings Creamer, Candy Cane Mallow, Snowdrift Creamer, Elf Indulge Mallow and a Glitterati Mallow. Superb. All items worked exactly as they should … the mallows and creamers left my skin beautifully moisturised and all of them did a marvellous job of scenting my body. All this as well as sending my senses into overdrive with the scents in combinations of bergamot & ylang ylang, geranium & ylang ylang, spearmint & bergamot, ginger & frankincense, rosemary & frankincense and ylang ylang & rose.My only complaint … the bath certainly takes some cleaning afterwards as the oils tend to stick to the sides of the bath. Also the base of the bath becomes quite slippery because of the oils so be careful when standing in the bath to climb out.Would I buy them again? … You bet I would.

Just to clarify first off, none of these are bath bombs as one of the top reviewers seemed to be confused with. These are creamer/mallows, smaller and heavier than the bath bombs. They're far more moisturising and not meant to fizz as much as the bombs. If you're looking for the Bath Bombs there are sets of them on here. Most come with a bar of soap.None of mine were broken but one of the creamers did have a crack down it. It would be a lot better if each mallow/creamer was separated or if there was some sort of padding. There's none of this so you just have to pray that people are careful with your package during transit. When opening the box you will be overpowered with a heavy scent. It's a weird scent as well as it's all 6 of them combined. Each one still retains their original scent when you put them in the bath though. My favourite thing about these is that while they're still dissolving in the bath (It takes a few minutes for them to dissolve completely) you can rub it against your skin and you can really feel your skin softening due to the shea butter. I wouldn't advise this for people with sensitive skin though as this may be too much and could irritate your skin. They are quite strong. One of them does contain petals so be prepared to clean your bath tub afterwards to get rid of them. I would advise wiping down them tub anyway as due to the oils they can leave the bath with a slippery residue

Let me start by saying that these are my go to gift for women in my life. They are Vegan/cruelty free, They are well packaged in a box already and are durable (never arrived broken or damaged)The process of ordering these everytime has been fast and they have arrived within days of ordering. They come from a company named Bomb cosmetics who do not test on animals and make a wide range of bath products in the UK.The contents is a mixture of creamers (balls that moisture the water leaving your skin perfectly soft) and mallows which moisturise and leave the bath smelling fantastic but I will state that these ARE NOT bath bombs and will not have same fizzy effect in the bath.what you get:- Chic andCheerful Mallow- Urban Rose Mallow- Love Buds Mallow- Rosebud Buttercup- Kiss Me Quick Creamer- Feel the Love CreamerThis is a bargain as on the bomb cosmetics website directly you would be paying £2.99 per mallow and £2.20 per creamer and buttercup which would cost around £15.55 if brought directly from website but serperately meaning this is a good saving and a good bundle. The scents are beautiful and are just right, not too subtitle not too strong. This set is ideal for any lady in your life whether that be your Mum, Daughter, Sister, Aunty, Girlfriend, Wife, Cousin, Friend and so on.They would also make a perfect secret santa present.Highly recommend this product and brand.

I ordered this whilst I was in hospital for my boyfriend (and myself, but mainly for him) as a suprise thank you gift for him to open at home whilst I wasn't there, I went for the gift wrap which was only a couple £ more. He said it was such a lovely little present and really pretty and bought a tear to his eye (his words, not mine) I was suprised as you. Upon my arrival home he had kept all the bits that came with it so he could show me what I had got him. The gift wrap was absolutely beautiful, came in a gorgeous red with hearts baggy with the little message I wrote, online, left inside all tucked between the label of the present, the box was covered in white and heart sparkly wrapping paper and inside the box,6 of the prettiest scented bath bombs I have seen, my boyfriend thought I had sent him mini cakes. We haven't used any yet as they just look too pretty to use. I'm really looking forward to using the one with little rose petals in though, to have them floating amongst the bubbles in my bath. They look exactly like the pictures you see online. All arrived in tact as they were well packaged on arrival, each one is different, look wise and smell. There's sprinkles in one, hearts in another, petals, flowers, you get the gist. Perfect gift. You can tell from my reveiw, I really couldn't be happier with it. Many thanks

I bought this on a lightning deal for £6.99 for two reasons. First of all I wanted to treat myself a bit and secondly I wanted to try it out to check if it's suitable for a gift for my mum or other close relatives and friends.Item was delivered by courier with free next day delivery and another thing I bought. I just smiled when I opened the amazon box and sow that giftset box was squashed. The box is in general quite a disappointment however you can see on the photo that it is only a plain white box with a ribbon (pink in my case, not brown).Label with description of what is inside is placed under the box.It doesn't have any pictures so it is actually quite difficult to say which bomb is which. In regards to size of bombs my first impression was that they are not that small at all. I decided to try it out straight away and prepared myself a bath with white-brown cupcake and well smell was much less intense than expected. Amount of oils was enough for me to notice that there are any. After a short while in a bathtube I decided to add another bomb and only then both smell and amount of oils reached satisfying level.Overall it was not a bad experience but not worth more than I paid. I would not buy it as a gift for anyone close but maybe for a colleague, distant relative or a neighbour.

I bought this as a present for a friends birthday, the first thing I would like to comment on is I was sent the correct box that I ordered, as I’ve seen a few people in the reviews say that they weren’t and this made me Sceptical to order, the gift wrapping is satisfactory and I think she will like the way it is cutely wrapped.None of the bath bombs were broken. One thing I will point out is the box is a lot smaller than I had imagined, I thought it would be around 3 x the size as I’ve ordered from this company before and the box sizing was bigger, this is palm sized, never the less you do get the 6 small bath bombs within and they are all very aesthetic and definitely instagrammable! The scents are all similar and soapey,I’ve used bomb cosmetics before and I would recommend them to someone who isn’t bath bomb obsessed. However if you are a regular user of lush bath bombs these will not compare to their high standard, but at the price point these are sold and as a gift for someone who doesn’t use themAs avently I would recommend these and would purchase again. For reference they are not as fizzy and a bath bomb showcase like LUSH brand, but as a stand alone company the comparison shouldn’t be relevant unless you’re wanting similar.Happy with my purchase

Yes, so sorry to mention Christmas in September, but I have bought two of these bomb bath gift sets for Christmas presents. It was delivered promptly and in perfect condition. I consider this to be excellent value for money. The packaging is outstanding quality and the information card describes its contents. I was impressed, as I opened the box that it was delivered in a gorgeous smells just hit me.In the box there is a layer of tissue (nice touch) to keep the product in tip top condition.I could not believe what met my eyes! there is 6 bombs in the set and the colours are out of this world and I did not expect them to be so vibrant, Have a look at the picture- the little rose, well it is so realistic and the colours are absolutely amazing. Inside the box you will find a folded colourful info sheet with lots of info, which is nice.I have just thought, besides this item is perfect for any time of the year, with Christmas is coming up in a few months and think for those guy and girls out there who needs to buy a secret Santa present for work colleagues, this would fit the bill. I would buy again and I do recommend this gift set to others. Thank you

Please be aware that this is not a box of chocolates, or if it is then somebody in the taste-testing department needs to be fired. Instead, the idea is that you fling these into a bath and then bathe in chocolate-scented water, just like pretty much no rational person has ever wanted to do.However, this may well be just your thing (probably why you're looking at this product) and in that case, I have good news: this product really does make baths smell like chocolate. I can't vouch for the taste, though, as I'm not about to start drinking anybody's bathwater — at least not without a considerable amount of money ending up in my pocket. It also turns the water slightly brown. Do you want to bathe in brown water? That's for you to decide. You might be used to this anyway if you're particularly dirty before taking most baths, but at least this is a 'good' brown.Overall, if you like the thought of a slightly brown, chocolate-scented bath then this product is for you. It's also quite cleansing and all that other stuff that bath bombs are supposed to be, but to be honest that not why you buy something like this, is it?

Right let me start by saying that I have been brought these as a gift, I have also brought these for someone else and for myself. These are a really lovely gift as they come gift boxed in a little ballotin chocolate style box. They have a strong yet not overbearing scent which personally i love. They smell very chocolatey and lets face it what woman doesn't love chocolate. They fizz up perfectly in the bath and leave it smelling wonderful and the water feeling soft and leaving skin smelling nice and moisturized. These are NOT bath bombs so will not have the same affect as bath bombs would.Definately an ideal gift for a mother, sister, girlfriend, wife, friend, aunty, step mother, cousin and so on.They keep there smell well and providing they are stored away from direct sunlight keep there color too.Bomb cosmetics are a 100 percent vegan i also checked there own website for this. Some other reviewers have commented on the size, as these arent bath bombs they arent going to be huge.the circular balls are creamers and weigh roughly 30g each.the rest weigh roughly around the same.

After reading all of the negative comments on amazon about this product, I would not be suprised if this had put some people off buying these bath bombs. I wasn't put off and more importantly; I knew what to expect from this product. I knew that they would be smaller than your average bath bomb and I also knew that they'd be extremely pretty and smell good enough to eat. Maybe on the product description they should have put something about the size of each individual bath bomb so that customers do not feel deceived into thinking that they are bigger than they are. My bath bombs arrived in perfect condition (which is real praise coming from me because I am a perfectionist and cannot stand it when an item is delivered wih even the slightest of dents, stratches or folds), the box was perfect and also the bombs themselves were perfect. Overall, I am delighted with this item and can't wait to use them, I would recommend them to anyone wishing to indulge themselves and would definitely buy them again!

Just recieved these bath bomba in the post today - they are meant to be a gift for someone, but I'm seriously considering keeping them! They're absolutely gorgeous, and smell amazing. As other have already said, the size of the bombs was a slight disappointment, but only slight. The product is of a very high quality and is worth every penny.I also had no issue with packaging. The little box of bath bombs was inside another box and securely wrapped up by Amazon before they were delivered to me, so they arrived in perfect condition. However, this may have been because I ordered the bath bombs along with other items, and all of them came together in one large box.I would recommend doing the same if you are going to buy these. It ensures your bath bombs are safely nestled in amongst other items and protective wrapping. But anyway, packaging aside, these bath bombs are a brilliant buy. And I'm very confident the person receiving them is going to love them!

I bought these for my wife for Christmas, as she was always on about having nice things to pamper herself with in the bathroom. After the initial 'they look too good to use' she dropped one in the bath, and had a nice long soak.Afterwards, she remarked that her skin was softer, the room smelled beautiful (her words) and thought they were definitely worth the expense. Obviously these aren't a daily use item, but more of a special occasion. Each one being different has created different results, but now most of the way through them she is wanting more! I'm thinking of getting her the Chocolate ones next. The packaging is great, and I didn't really need to wrap it any further. You can't hide the smell that comes from the box, so if it's a gift they will know what they're getting. The only thing we noticed was that there's no real description of what each bomb is or contains, but in some ways that just adds to the mystery of it all.
