I've used a couple of ManCave products before and not been too impressed with their packaging (to me, the brown bottles/tubes have put me off), but I seem to have mellowed in my (relative) old age, as a) I now like the distinctive brown colouring, and b) this Survival Gift Set is a really good thing.The first thing to say is that this is a big and substantial box of stuff, that looks a lot more impressive than other male grooming gift sets that one can get. If you want to buy a gift for a man who likes to look after himself this is a great idea for a very realisitic price.The presentation box is made from good quality cardboard, the products sit securely in individual inserts that will not move until you want to take them out. Many more expensive brands could learn a thing or two.But it`s the products that are the real stars.LEMON SHOWER GEL, just a small amount onto a sponge, or in the hand, gives a soft lather that is fragranced with a hint of lemon and it gives the skin a fresh clean scent that lasts.WILLOW BARK FACE WASH, like the shower gel it produces a soft foaming lather that is gentle on the skin and leaves it feeling soft and clean.OLIVESTONE FACE SCRUB,

ManCave products have been hit and miss for me however this set is really good and if I received this as a gift ideas be really happy. In terms of everyday essentials men seem to get the rough end of the stick. Unless you go very premium your choices are limited in my opinion. So I like what ManCave are doing with a solid range and plenty of varietyour.The set is well packaged and good quality so it instantly creates a positive impression. There are 6 times which are essentially everything you need to get yourself prepped and clean for the day ahead.Therefore are two face washes. One is a scrub for twice a week and the wash is for everyday. Both work well and left my face feeling very clean.The caffeine shave gel works well.

This gift set is very well presented and would, therefore, be ideal for a present (probably more so than the similar-priced sets, which only include miniature versions--these are all full sized products).I found the facewash, scrub, moisturiser and shaving balm to be of good practical use (certainly, in my opinion, matching the likes of Nivea and Bulldog for cleansing/moisturising ability) and I’d be happy to buy them again on their own.More disappointing, were the shower and shaving gels, which I doubt I’d buy again. The shower gel felt “weak” when I used it (like the really cheap supermarket branded stuff) and it needed 2-3 passes before I started to feel as clean as I would with 1 pass of Nivea.

This is a really massive set of toiletries, the presentation box is 14" x 101/2" and would make a huge impression when given as a present.ManCave have all personal body care, grooming covered; the wackily marketed range is bang on. 'The Survival Set for the Urban Huntsman' will suit all ages, urban or rural. Girlfriends, wives and partners will greet this with relief, just hand it over with a smile and leave the guys to freshen up.The Lemon Shower gel will wake 'em up, the Willowbank Face Wash will act with the Olivestone Facial scrub, together with the Borage Moisturiser as a home Spa Treatment for the face. Shaving needs are provided for by the Caffeine Shave Gel and the Post Shave Balm.

Fear not, Urban Huntsmen of the world. ManCave have thoughtfully assembled your essential survival kit without which no self respecting could contemplate any death defying adventure. Yes, I mean the moisturiser, face scrub, face wash , shower gel, shave gel and post shave balm without which any adventure into the wild would be doomed.Joking apart, the blurb that comes with it would be half the fun in this really well presented gift set that would I think be gratefully received by any man with a sense of humour. The products themselves are however all good quality, made of natural ingredients, vegan friendly and not tested on animals. Whilst accepting that scent is very much a personal like/dislike choice,

This is my first experience of the ManCave range. As a middle aged bloke with little interest in the worlds of fashion and "cool", I'm probably way outside of their target audience. Cool, urban, hipster is probably what they have in mind. But I'm still a bloke who likes a bit of pampering, so I thought I'd give it a go.First off the box is very big. This is clearly intended as a gift set, though quite a pricey one. Perhaps the kind of thing a girlfriend buys for their boyfriend? Inside are a range of products that provide for many aspects of male grooming. I've tried them all now, and I did enjoy the experience and the effect. The face washes and moisturiser I particularly liked.

Bought this for my other half to try out so this review is really his!The packaging was nice. A big rectangular box, in a blue colour. It would look like a substantial gift if you were buying it for someone. All the products are securely held inside.In this set you get shower gel, moisturiser, face scrub, shave balm, shave gel, face wash. They are all a clean, manly smell which we both like. The shower gel is a particular hit and he also really likes the face scrub. I'm not sure the packaging of the actual products is anything to shout about but I the products inside seem to be good.The only thing putting us off is the price. Currently priced at £30 for the set, this works out at £5 each.

This is another lovely set from ManCave and includes some fabulous products.I really like the ManCave range and have used several of their products before getting this set. All products are of a very high quality, and feel very luxurious in use. The scent is nicely masculine.I do like the fact that the products are environmentally friendly, and do not include any petrol chemicals. To be honest, I hadn't thought much about this until understanding that ManCave do not include nasty petrochemicals. It worries me what sort of thing I've been using in the past.The set itself is very nicely presented, and comprised of full sized products which explains the price. I'm not naturally a chap who would ever think of buying or getting a pack like this as a present. But I have to say I was genuinely pleased to receive this pack. I've had ManCave products before and liked them and this lived up to my expectations. It's a big pack of stuff, the box is huge and the products economical to use. Obviously I haven't yet used them all up, but the last ManCave shower gel I had went on forever and I expect this to do the same. Only downside so far is the shaving gel. I use a Philips wet shaver in shower, (for my head and cheeks, in case you're looking at the picture) the shower gel clogged the razor.

This is well selected of useful and effective male grooming products. The scents used are subtle but masculine and all are very effective.The face wash is second to Garnier's offering with wasabi, which always makes me feel alive the minute I use it but I still happily use it. The shaving foam is different from what you might expect but produces a very effective shave. The after shave balm is extremely soothing. The moisturiser is marvellous. My skin perks up dramatically when I apply this to it. The face scrub is effective. In terms of performance, these products are winners.The set as a whole offers extremely good value for money and is a very good way of testing these products.

I’m reviewing this product as a gift set, rather than individual products (though I’ve received feedback from the giftee already that the body wash smells great and the moisturiser and shave balm are very soothing).Firstly I was surprised to see that all the products are full size rather than travel size, which is what I normally expect with gift sets. (The blurb on Amazon makes no mention of product sizes.) I haven't heard of ManCave before, but judging from their packaging, they are a contemporary skincare brand for men with a great sense of humour. And I'm right! The products come packaged in a lovely big box, perfect for wrapping and giving at Christmas. Inside are six full size products, including a showergel, face wash, shaving gel and a post-shave balm. The products are encased in beautiful, bold, brown packaging - pretty but manly enough for the guys.As for the products themselves? They're lovely - they smell great, earthy and clean, and they work well too. My brother tried them and has no complaints! This would also be a perfect set to go travelling with too. All in all,

This is probably the best mens gift set i have ever had the privilege to test and review.You get 6 full sized products. They are smell amazing, work really well, have not irritated my skin so far, and to be honest make me feel a bit posh, as they are such high quality products.Best of all not everyone will have these in their bathroom so i get to smell different to everyone else, which has already been noticed by several people who said i smelt amazing so that speaks for itself.The only quibble i could give it is that there is no bag to keep it all in, but that didn't lower my score.Excellent set.
