Where to start! I excitedly opened the packaging to have my five little vials. I passed out three keeping two for my fiancé [who wasn't amused at only getting to keep two]. My first thought was the simplicity of the design in the packaging. Simple and strong. It wasn't overly advertised as being a 'fussy' scent, I liked how it looked bold and strong. Upon opening the little vials, I realised the scent was exactly that. Strong yet simple. It isn't overpowered by one ingredient or another. The woody vanilla came throught immediately and made me think wow, I like this. The scent isn't so strong it gives you a headache, each blend used has given it a sensual scent that can be used at any point,day, night, date, work meeting, anything really.I asked my trusty samplers to tell me what they thought and gathered their thoughts for my review. Each one was extremely positive. All loved the scent, all agreed that it lasted well into the day and one said his girlfriend pounced upon smelling and asked how he had become so delicious! I was worried slightly about the health of men wearing this but I was guessing most would love this effect. To try the scent test to see how long lasting, I asked my fiancé to wear it and I also dabbed a little on my wrist. Working in admin I'm continually typing, carrying files and not just sat at a destination so often scents can rub off and I have to re apply. I was glad to say that I could smell the aroma all day. My partner returned from almost a 12 hour shift and he too still had the same fresh,sensual aroma as he has in the morning from applying the aftershave.This actually lasted well into the day as cuddled on the couch later that evening I still enjoyed the aroma from the bottle.Boss has been a favourite of mine for many years and I am an avid user. This was my first try at Boss for the man of today and I have already purchased a large bottle, as has two of my testers. There would be no doubt in my mind to promote Boss as I have over the last couple of weeks. As two of my testers work in my office, half the women in the office are now swooning over the fragrance with many treating their husbands or partners for Xmas with this.To summarise, the scent lasts well, is not overpowering but gave each person who tired it a confident air about them, they felt strong and walked with the confidence of knowing that they would be admired. This instilled a feeling of power and prowess into them all. The scent lasts well for the little you use. It is truly another fabulous strike from Boss and another that will be on the shelf of well used aftershaves. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed! I said yes to this campaign, planning to hand all the samples out to the various men in my life - which I did, but I kept one for myself, and I'm glad I did.I used to work on the perfume counter of a well known High Street brand, and I can tell you now, I wasn't the only female staffer who wore aftershave as well as perfume. Hugo Boss especially is well known for creating masculine scents that so appeal to both sexes.I would often give myself a spray or two of aftershave before a night out - as a girl in a night club, you get a lot of compliments for wearing an aftershave!As such, trying this scent on brought back a lot of happy memories for me. It also reminded me of good times recently,as my boyfriend owns a few Boss scents, and I'm not saying that they all smell the same, but they definitely have a familiarity to them, so if you've owned one before, getting a new one feels a bit like pulling on your favourite jumper.I really like the bottle on the full sized version of this - it just looks classic. Some aftershaves and perfumes try way too hard with the design of the bottle, and you end up feeling like they spent longer on that than on developing a good scent. Not so in this case.If you want to get all technical, this aftershave opens with fruity notes, which is what makes it attractive to the female nose - we're used to those notes in our perfumes. The heart notes are a bit floral, with geranium, but then brought back to earth with a bang with cinnamon and cloves. Finally the traditionally masculine base notes of sandalwood and cedarwood are paired with vanilla, which again is more often used in perfume. This classic, yet unusual combination of notes is what makes this scent so rich, and so ... unisex.When I smell this on my boyfriend it instantly takes me back to good times I've had while wearing a boss scent, or while my boyfriend has been wearing one. It's unique too without being weird - if I smell this on a stranger, I can tell what it is, instantly.My boyfriend has now used up all of his tester, and I'll be buying him a bottle for Christmas now - he hasn't got it already, and I think it's such a classic it deserves to be in his collection. I'm a huge fan of classic looking men, in their classic looking suits, wearing a classic fragrance.Someone said to me the other day that a gorgeous smelling man in a well cut suit is to women, what lingere is to men. And for me, it's completely true. Husband wears a suit to work, he looks hot. He has his standard man fragrance. He always smelt ok, but he's always stayed with what he loved even though he always got a different smellies every year for Christmas. It had always worn off by the end of the day and he would drag himself home, smelling of the underground and coffee. That was until he tried Boss Bottled.I casually left it in the ensuite, next to his usual scent. First morning in there and it had got used!!He bounced into the kitchen and I had one of those Mr Darcy moments. He smelt amazing! He even commented on how much he liked it. And considering he has a small collection of hardly used fragrances, it says a lot!He came home from work that night and the smell was almost as strong as it was in the morning. He said a fair few people commented on it and he had even bagged a free coffee from a well known coffee shop, after the barista had complimented his smell and asked what he was wearing.Cheekily my dad nabbed a bottle when finishing off the grouting. It smelt so different on him than on my husband, but it was still so nice. I think that's one thing that people forget when getting fragrances, our own undertones can completely change the scent. After realising what a difference having it on two people made, I gave a bottle to my brother in law. Again, it smelt wildly differnt, but was incredibly easy on the nose. Everyone has loved the smell!If a fragrance can suit, and please, three different men, at three very different ages with three very different lifestyles, I have every confidence that the 7 young and grown men I need to buy for, will love this!This has definitely made my christmas shopping much easier!! SO many mentions of it smelling like "apple pie" and it being a "sweet" fragrance. Perhaps it's my nose, perhaps it's my skin chemistry, but I don't agree with either of these. Like, at all.Sure, the top notes mention apple, but I wouldn't be able to guess that without reading it first. What I get from this, from the opening, through the mid/drydown, all the way into the basenotes is the presence of cedar. A very, very strong cedar note permeates the entire presence of the fragrance, and I love it. I find the same note plays a heavy role in another Hugo Boss fragrance, "Hugo," which I also quite like.It's intricate and plays off of the other, more subtle notes in the juice,such as the aforementioned apples and the vanilla and cinnamon that sometimes come into play. You're not going to smell like pile of cedar shavings, but, at least for me, that spicy, woody base is always there.Like I said, I respectfully disagree with this being a sweet fragrance. I love it to death and it's one of my most-worn frags. To me, the mere mentions of it potentially being a unisex or, better yet, a "feminine" scent are hilarious. Not even close.The sillage is impressive, 3 sprays applied correctly and you're going to pique the interest of any female within 3-5 feet, guaranteed. Longevity is admirable as well. I get a solid 8 hours out of this, and this is one where you can still strongly smell it on your clothes the next day. Reformulation or not, I find the life of this stuff to be wonderful.And the comparisons to YSL L'Homme are, again, far off base. I own L'Homme and it is an ENTIRELY different beast. Far sweeter and powdery with no trace of the deep woodsy cedar base that BB contains. It's sillage and longevity also pale in comparison. A beautiful frag, but not similar at ALL.Again, maybe it's my skin chemistry, but I personally love Boss Bottled and I recommend it to anyone without a second thought. Age is irrelevant, this is a timeless classic.

Having a husband who only wears aftershave once in a blue moon I thought it would be a bit of a challenge getting him to try one of the samples of Hugo Boss Bottled. However, after wafting one of the little vials under his nose he immediately agreed to try it out, so a positive impression from the outset! I splashed a nice amount onto him and after a few minutes the pleasant smell developed into a lovely fresh and mellow fragrance. Trying to describe the aroma I'd say imagine gently heating up a pot of sweet and spicy fruit punch in a pine forest - there's a subtle blend of sweet vanilla, cinnamon (is there also a touch of clove in there?) and fruit (apple - and citrus at a guess) with woody tones.Vanilla is my favourite smell, and I also love cinnamon, so it was odds on I would like Boss Bottled. My husband thought it was "not bad, not too overpowering, sickly sweet or musky like some aftershaves". Staying power was pretty good, I still noticed him smelling of it in the afternoon when I'd put it on him at around 8am. I think it would be suitable for using day or night, on both informal and formal occasions.I also gave a sample to my uncle who wears aftershave regularly - his thoughts... "It is alright. I've used it before and like it, it's not too strong a smell, but lasts. I would buy it again but there are others I like better so it wouldn't be one of my first choices."I wouldn't hesitate in buying Boss Bottled as a gift for a man who liked aftershave, I just happen to have a husband and Dad who very rarely wear it, if at all, although I think I could persuade my other half to use this one as his views on it were good compared to what he usually says about a lot of aftershaves!Is it wrong of me to like the smell so much I keep putting a few drops on myself, especially in the evening as the lovely warm fragrance helps me feel all cosy and relaxed! When the Boss samples arrived my first impression was how fresh the fragrance smelled and I was looking forward to my husband wearing it and trying something new. He has a few favourites which he has used for several years.My husband used Boss for the first time when we went out for dinner. He really liked the smell and said it was very classic. He likes fragrances that are fresh but a little spicy too. After a while he thought the smell had become woody and a bit musky which he felt showed the fragrance had lots of depth which he liked. He thought it would be great for work or evening use.My first impressions were really good too and I thought he smelled lovely.I am not keen on men's fragrance that has a lot of lemon or citrus however this smelled very warm and spicy. I love cinnamon and vanilla so perhaps I was picking up on my favourite smells. I also thought I could detect a slight hint of cloves.I got him to wear Boss during the day too. My husband doesn't always wear fragrance at work however he said his 20 year old apprentice complimented him and asked him what aftershave he was wearing and our 8 year old daughter also told him that he smelled very nice! Seems Boss is appealing to the young! I definitely could smell the fragrance in the morning however it was not so obvious at the end of the day. That could be down to application and how it is used.My husband has said he would definitely use Boss if he was given a bottle as a gift as he thought it was a very classic scent. He also liked the masculine, simple bottle. He did note that Gerald Butler advertises it and this didn't really impress him but didn't put him off. He said he cannot really understand celebrity endorsement unless it is their own brand. He mentioned Gerry might be there more to persuade the ladies to purchase it than the guys! I have been an avid fan of Boss fragrance for many years, I have used their perfumes for a long time personally and also purchased as gifts. I used to buy Boss In Motion for my partner and was looking for a new fragrance that wasnt quite as sporty and more masculine, to be invited to the buzz campaign meant this was an ideal opportunity to try another out without splashing the cash first.Upon receiving the little vials, I excitedly tore open the protective packaging, quickly read the notes regarding the base notes and two notes and excitedly had a sniff of the vials inside.The smell was strong, sensual and intriguing. Unlike many aftershaves, the smell was not strong in one area or another.There was no overly strong 'woody' smell that overpowered the senses.I asked my partner to wear it at a wedding together. The scent lasted well into the day and carried through into the night. Granted he popped one of the vials in my handbag but the first time he was tempted to re apply was after 7pm. There was many compliments about the fragrance. It was light and fresh throughout the day and yet the base notes gave it a masculine fragrance.in looking for any fragrance, I want value for money, a strong scent that isn't cheap or gives you a headache and also a scent that lasts. Boss bottled ticks all the boxes on this one. I would not hesitate purchase this in the future not only for my partner but also for my nephew who is 18, my father in his 60s or as a gift for a friend. The blends of oils fragrance ensures that it works well for many different people as the cardamon, lightness of the birches and the muskyness of the woody notes means it is suitable for a whole range of different people for business, pleasure, days, nights. I think the fragrance a man chooses to wear should suit his natural scent and also suit his personality, so I was excited to smell BOSS BOTTLED and ask my husband to try it out. I have smelt other Boss scents in the past and had an already positive view of the brand, using one of the women's Hugo Boss fragrances; and my positive view has now been reconfirmed following this campaign.My husband works in a busy office and field environment, meeting clients daily. Suited and booted, we both felt this fragrance represents the modern man and a social lifestyle.The fragrance itself is striking, and the first morning my husband wore it, I instantly realised it was different to the usual two scents he wears.This had a stronger smell, but not overpowering. It's fragrance is very sexy and alluring! I could not stop taking in deep breaths in to smell it. Once the Boss scent has been on his skin for a while, the top notes give way to a beautiful, warm and slightly musky smell. The fragrance lasted well throughout the day and was still present when my husband returned home after a busy day. I think this is important when you are spending money on a product such as this, that it doesn't wear off quickly. Especially when you are meeting new people and you are faced with new situations throughout the day, knowing you smell great gives you more confidence. BOSS BOTTLED is slightly on the pricey side, but the quality of the scent, the time it lasts and the confidence in the brand would make it worth it. A little goes a long way, so even if this gift was a treat due to the price, it could be worn for special or important occasions. BOSS BOTTLED is slightly on the pricey side, but the quality of the scent, the time it lasts and the confidence in the brand would make it worth it. A little goes a long way, so even if this gift was a treat due to the price, it could be worn for special or important occasions.
