This game, which i bought about a week ago now, was worth every penny i spent. It has fantastic gameplay, graphics and soundtrack.The gameplay: The game engine runs very smoothly, and the controls are easy to master. There are a lot of interactions between players that can be used to confuse your opponents to provide space to slam-dunk into the basket or room for that 3-point shot. The menus for the game are simple, which quick-start, leagues, play-offs, training and many more. 5/5 for gameplay.The graphics: The graphics are good, with the major players ( such as Eddie Curry or Luol Deng from my team, the Chicago Bulls ) much like the real life players. You can also create your own player and model their stats.

This game is a true representation of the NBA, in the NBA series players are becoming continually more similar to their real life counterparts, they show realistic emotion, they adjust their shot, in NBA Live 2005 nearly all of the moves you see in the NBA are present. There's up and unders, player slean in after poke faking, unrealistic shots are a thing of the pas.This game is far more difficult than its predecessors, the superstar level of difficulty is near impossible, play it for while however and you become used to it, in the hardest level you have to use all of the moves in order succeed, most attempts inside are blocked and it is difficult to beat the player off the dribble.The All-Star weekend has everything now,

This is quite possibly the most addictive game I have bought. It's sad to say but I have lost whole nights to this game. This is what I said about NBA Live 2004. Looking back that game fades insignificantly into the background compared to this one. This game is amazing... If you are clued in to the latest NBA season and players you will appreciate this game so much more. Each player has the same skill levels has the real life ones for example, the great Shaq, useless off the dribble but dominant when it comes to backing down with the ball in the paint then that patented quick spin for the dunk or lay-up. Then there's Tayshaun Prince with the occasional outstanding defensive block. I could list many,

I bought this game the day it was released. It is a huge step up from the 2004 edition. The All-Star Weekend is a great addition, the Slam-Dunk contest is amaizing; the dunks are so realistic. Another fab addition is the freestyle air when you go for a dunk you can klick the dunk button again to adjust your shot do avoid contact from the defender. There are different ways of rebounding such as a put back dunk an a tip in. This is the best basketball game ever. Much better than Espn i cant wait untill NBA Live 2006.

i believe that NBA LIVE 2005 is the greatest basketball game ever because it has great graphics, great gameplay and great game modes. the best game mode is dynasty mode when you choose a team to control and control their trades, their injuries and all their free agent signings. another great thing about NBA LIVE 2005 is the ability to create a player. when you create a player you can change their gear and their shoes and their stats and their shirt number. you can also choose which team your player will represent.

It was a great move to add a dunk contest, but they could have had put more effort into gameplay. The animations are jolty and the in game dunks are poor. Also where's Michael Jordan!? Good but really could have been better with some more effort

Great game that's worth buying just for the slam dunk contest alone. Hours of playing available with great graphics.How far EA Sports can take these games is beyond me but even if your not a basketball fan try this out.
