Thankfully, the folks at EA Sports brought NBA Live back to the PC after a year's hiatus, and all in all, it doesn't disappoint. The graphics are absolutely stunning (if run on a fast PC with a powerful graphics card); the music is, as usual for the NBA Live series, good with a lot of rap and hip-hop; the players generally look very much like their real-world counterparts, and the AI is pretty solid. Perhaps my only quibble with the game is the lack of a walk-through for the ultra-cool freestyle mode. It takes a while to get used to triggering certain moves in the lane, or on a fastbreak. Also disappointing was the fact that the folks at EA didn't include the facility to trade draft picks (very key in Franchise mode),

This game can be bought for a cheap price, and it's highly worth buying as it's brilliant. The game is obviously out of date as Shaquille plays for the Lakers etc. But online patches can be found on the web to update this. The game works fine with Windows Vista, and I use the Saitek P480 Gamepad to play with which works great as the game automatically sets comfortable controls to use with the gamepad. The graphics for a game released way back in 2002 still look great and runs very smoothly, if you want a good NBA Live game, this is the one to get.
