I do feel like many others that this is the best Simpsons game produced. In this game you play as different characters in different levels. These characters are Homer, Bart, Lisa, Marge and Apu. it is a mission based driving game. There are 7 levels and in each level you need to complete seven missions plus one bonus mission, although the bonus missions are not necesarry for completion of the game. You also can take part in 3 street races per level. Also there are 7 hidden collecters cards in each level. If you find all 7 you will unlock a multiplayer street race and if you collect all 49 there is an itchy and scratchy suprise.The plot is that strange wasp cameras are appearing all over springfeild and you must find where they are coming from.Also Bart is kidnapped by a UFO and you must find him.The Graphics in this game are as good as can be expected from a cartoon world but it ressembles springfeild remarkabley well.The gameplay, I found, was just right. Not too long too get boring but enough to be worth its value. I would say for an average gamer it should take 48 hours of non-stop gameplay.The controls are very easy to use. They are also very easy to learn with an extremely well done tutorial level.The soundtrack in this game is well done but what makes this game good is the voices of the simpsons cast with the same humour you would expect from a simpsons episode.There are many veichels and costumes for you to play around with in this game.I dont think this game lives up to its genre. I think that games like the GTA series, The Getaway and Metal Gear Solid are a cut above. However out of simpsons games this is definantely the best and to be fair i dont think this game is trying to be like those games as it is for a younger audience. I think this games lacks variety.Almost every mission is driving based and I would have liked to have seen maybe some on foot missions to vary it a little .However it is a very solid game and definanetly worth its money. Agood buy for any level of gamer.

You don't have to be a Simpsons fan to appreciate the quality of this game but it would help to be a fan to appreciate the characters, locations and jokes.The graphics are first rate. I was a little worried at first at how my favourite TV characters would look in 3D but this has been pulled off splendidly. The graphics are smoothe and sharp and there is plenty of attention to detail. The scenery, much of which the characters can interact with, vehicles and other characters are bright and bouncy and add to the feel of the type of game being played.The controls are easy to get to grips with and after a short time you'll be learning the best ways to explore Springfield - not having to undertake each mission one after the other,but instead taking the opportunity to go wherever you want, exploring the locations and collecting coins so that you can buy extra goodies.The plot is beatifully played out by the characters, voiced by the stars of the show. It would have been a shoddy, second-rate production if they hadn't voiced the characters and it's as hilarious as the show itself. The sound-effects and score, therefore, are also first rate. The music is just as upbeat and quirky as you'd expect and compliments each mission brilliantly.The menu systems are easy to navigate and it's good to be able to track your progress through the game - how many races you've completed, vehicles obtained, cards collected etc.With absolutely tonnes of extra features like bonus games and extra vehicles to unlock, the game has a major replay factor and if, like me, you love watching the Simpsons on TV (no matter how old the episodes are or how many times you've seen them), then you'll not tire of playing the several levels and tonnes of missions over and over. All the characters are here and being able to interact with them makes such an enjoyable gaming experience. A fantastic game!

Until now, all of the Simpson games have been awful. But this is different, it is hugely improved from previous games such as Road Rage.Graphics: The graphics are really good and I can't make any complaints about them. 5/5Gameplay: You take the part of one the Simpsons or Apu (the character changes each level). You have to work through 7 missions, 1 bonus mission, 3 street races and a couple of extra things on each level. Most of the missions involve collecting, destroying or avoiding. Some missions involve a mix. The gameplay is quite fun and will entertain you for quite a while. However, it is a bit repetative. 4/5Story: The storyline is pretty good and as you would expect, quite funny.You will enjoy unravelling it as you play through the missions. It lacks detail though. 4/5Unlockables: The game has lots of unlockables; movies, cars, areas, etc. I like my games to have unlockables in, because it gives you something to work towards. 5/5Play Time/Replayability: It doesn't take that long to complete the missions, but there is plenty of other stuff to keep you occupied, such as collector cards or gags. It isn't a great game for playing again. 3/5Sound(s):The sound is good and the voices and phrases are just like in the show. 5/5Multiplayer: The game has a multiplayer mode in which you can race with up to four players. You have to unlock this mode and each of the tracks. It is quite fun to play this, as you can also play it by yourself against the 'bots', as you may call them. 4/5Buy Or Rent: I would suggest buying it. However some of the more serious gamers may want to rent it for a week.Overall: 88% - I highly recommend this to anyone, especially Simpsons fans.

The previous simpsons Games havent been very good but this one is a whole new ball game, the Graphics are quite good the gameplay is excellent and youll just want to play it all day long. you starts off playing with homer but you can also be several other characters, then as you progress through the mission get more difficult but by now you should be used to it, the steering on the cars is a bit awkward, but after a bit of driving you easily get used to it, you can buy clothes and cars with points that you pick up from destroying things around town but be careful if you destroy too many things in a certain amount of time then you will have the police after you,further on in the game there is a great bit where the whole town turns into zombie land, the whole city is changed and instead of driving cars, you can drive weird vehicles and broom sticks with witches on them, this is about mr burns letting out some spy cameras thats fly around the city and you have to stop them by doing missions. not only do you have main missions but you have missions where if you see someone with an arrow over them you can do something for them in exchange for something, all in all its a great game and well worth buying

Now we all know past simpsons game having exactly been a big success. And the main appeal for these games is the novelty of the world of springfield. And sure enough it will most probaly work for this game aswell. But for this 'GTA' style outing for the simpson family it appears that the game developers radical entertainment have returned to produce another simpson game. You may remember they developed, in my opinion, the most successful game to date, simpsons road rage. And also a change of publisher could be an improvement, with vivendi universal taking over from EA. So far I have viewed afew screens of the game on the website ps2.ign.com, and from what I can see it looks o.k.Pretty much same old road rage style. As for the storyline I cannot say, as I do not believe that has been fully revealed yet. We can only take clues from the title of the game 'hit and run', as to a GTA style game. But not too much violence etc. as the rating is only and 11+. But lets please hope that finally we may see a decent simpsons game, but I would not fear my friends as anything will be an improvement from simpsons skateboarding.

Simpsons Hit & Run is the latest game based on the hit TV show. All of the previous Simpsons games have been, let's face it, extremely dissapointing, but this game is very different...Graphically the game is impressive, with characters looking exactly like they do on the TV. Gameplay wise, it is very similar to GTA3 (and Vice City) bar the violence and guns. You can steal cars and trash them, kick people and get the police on you (no violence or blood included) and interact with other famous characters.There are over 50 missions, all varying from beating Principal Skinner in a race to Springfield Elementary so you can get Lisa her project in time,ramming into all the cars with handsfree mobile phone kits to destroy them so that robots do not go mad and turn violent, and simply getting Homer his chocolate-chip cookie dough ice-cream from the Qui-kee Mart (not sure on the spelling!!). All provide good fun and keep you busy. It is not perfect by any means, but all in all a good game that is worth the money.7/10

The Simpsons: Hit & Run is, to this day, the best Simpsons game produced - even beating EA's "The Simpsons Game".The game takes a but out of the best-selling GTA games and makes them kid-friendly, ridding of the guns and adding all our lovable Simpsons characters. The game is a blast to play even just driving around town causing havok, yet alone completing all the missions and collecting all the cars and character models. The game is riddled with Simpsons refrences for hardcore fans - the best examples being the quotes the characters say as they drive (Homer running over a huge group of people while chanting "I am Evil Homer! I am Evil Homer!" never gets old) and the cards the character collects,each refrencing a specific Simpsons game. Finding all cards in a certain level unlocks a track in the bonus game, a simple racing mini-game. This is really nothing special and won't detract from the main experience.Overall, I a great game and a PlayStation 2 must-have, especially for hardcore Simpsons fans.

simpsons hit and run is a free roaming mission based adventure game set in 7 different levels through-out springfield, the missions are very well constructed and all have part of a very unique and veryy well written story line, the story line has twist and can be unexpected at times. you get to play as marge, homer, bart, lisa and apu, each character for one level, you can collect coin which you use to buy clothes and new cars, there are many landmarks to see from the simpsons world like, the power plant, the school, the kwik e mart, the comic store, moes tavarn and so on, the side missions are also very fun and they can be used to unlock extra cars, and there are also races to complete.i recomend this to ANYONE who likes simpsons or free roaming mission based game, and as far as simpsons games go this game is damn near perfect, couldve done with soem kind of weapon instead of having to punch and but bounce all the time, but it doesnt bother me too much at all

For sure, the best Simpsons game yet. Must be based on the GTA3 engine, basically because the gameplay is 100% the same as the recent Grand Theft Auto games. Where it differs is that you get to play the game as all your favourate Simpsons characters and visit everywhere in Springfield that has ever appeared in an episode. Again comparing it to GTA3 - what it lacks in the 'fun-killing' and gore it makes up for with humour. Some of the things the characters say are hilarious. However, most of the missions are "collect 'em all before the time runs out" or "pass the checkpoints in time" which gets tedious to say the least at some points. You will find yourself restarting missions again and again because you made a tiny mistake,as some of the missions demand perfect driving. Aside from the last couple of points, a brilliant game, a must for all Simpsons fans. This game gets a 4/5 from me.

This is a very enjoyable game, and I had a lot of fun with it, but something has gone wrong with the CD and the missions will not load and it freezes. I don't know if this has happened to anyone elses.The gameplay is brilliant, and the graphics are not that bad. Some of the missions are quite hard which makes it more fun (even it you can skip them after a while). There are many veichles to unlock which makes it even more fun (my favourite is the bus as I am a huge fan of buses) and there are most of the characters in the game. You can play as the Simpsons (except for Grampa) and Apu. It is fun to drive around and explore Springfield.At the end of the levels you can't skip the last 3 and it is set in Halloween with lots and lots of zombies,ghosts and witches.All in all a brilliant game and I hope that I can sort mine out. Any sugestions on how to fix it will be helpful:)

The variety of scenaries plus all the hilarious situations and characters (Homer, Marge, Lisa, Bart and Apu) makes the game dynamic and fun to play.The characters have the original voices from the cartoon. They always have something funny to say (Chest pain! Chest pain, says Homer while running somewhere ...).The bad point sometimes is the camera movements. It might make you dizzy and you can loose time in missions, just trying to adjust the right angle to do what you need to.There are a variety of items you can search. There are 3 races in every level (plus the races for money), the collectable cards plus the wasp cameras. Don't forget to buy new clothes for your character,specially the Devil costume for Homer.While playing Marge, look in the trailer park (close to the Power Plant) for a 4-wheel bike! Wicked!I enjoyed great time, time passes by while you're playing.

Being a bit of a nutter for the Simpsons (have you ever seen a rubbish simpsons episode? No, me neither) I got this for my daughter and I to play. Well, I play mostly and she watches.Springfield is brilliantly brought to life in this game and you get to drive a multitude of vehicles as various simpsons characters.What I like is that you can get through the missions to see how the story-line progresses and then go back to collect the bonus collector cards, the coins and destroy the wasp-cams to really complete the game.Using the real character voices really sets this game right up there and the little quips don't really tire as they seem very appropriate.The only thing stopping me giving this 5 stars however,is there's only so many things you can do in a car and after a while, the missions can get pretty same-y.

Having not played any other Simpson's games but having heard some bad reviews, it was with a little trepidation that i fired this up after receiving as a present. 20 mins later and i am engrossed in my role as Homer. The one-liners you get whilst driving are worth the value of the game alone. You can spend hours picking through the quality of the missions and the way certain things are set up but, at the end of the day you just got to get your head down and play. In this way this is extremely enjoyable and are challenging to children to which the game is aimed. Remember, this game is aimed at 7+! In short, great game involving all of your favourite characters and at a very respectable price (even if i did not buy it!)Be Homer, Bart, Lisa, Marge and Apu in this slapstick game and embrace the town of Springfield!!

This game in a way is a great balance of three types of game,1. Destruction, on this game you are awarded for it.2. Adventure, there are several levels, each with different charaters in different parts of Springfield.3. Car games, 9/10 of the missions requires you to have a car. You are also often set time limits to get from one place to another.There is a really good variety of cars etc. from King Plow to the rocket car. The graphics also are great and springfield really well mapped out. the driving can be quite difficult for the young ones, but the game explains itself really well.When I bought this game I expected the usually Simpsons rubbish, but i was pleasantly suprised at this game.They really have thought this one out well.
