I ordered this from amazon.co.uk as I couldn't find a spyglass of similar optical quality and durability online here in North America - everything at Amazon.com is toy junk or too delicate and hard to use for a preschooler. The Nat Geo Bresser 8x32 cost me US$30 including tax and delivery, which was reasonable. It arrived in just 7 days. The optics work well and it's easy to use. It will be a Christmas gift for my 3 year old son and I expect he will enjoy his new pirate telescope but I guess time will tell. I will write more after he gets a chance to play with it for a few weeks.

This item arrived on time, packed and perfect on arrival. The telescope has given my grandson and his adults hours of fun. It is robust and easy to use. Very pleased with this product. I would recommend it to others. If the need arises I would also buy it again.

I would not recommend this for young children as my grandson couldn't focus through the very small aperture. However, I have put it aside to use in a year or two. Sturdy, and probably hard to break, this is good value for money.

I was a bit cautious with this purchase because the reviews said it was difficult to focus the telescope. We found it easy to focus by expanding and contracting it. No problem. It's a great little scope.

A definite improvement from outright toys we've had up till now,obviously not as good as a real dedicated sporting scope but I won't want to cry if my son accidentally drops or loses this .

Works ok, importantly our grandsons enjoy being a pirate, and explorer and imaginative play. Looks the part, is sturdy and easy for little ones to use.

Nice starter telescope and not too expensive so you don't mind if they want to run around playing pirate or just look at the birds in the garden

The child loves it, it arrived promptly and seems quite well made. I especially like how it actually functions as a telescope.

Very pleased with this product. My two mini pirates used them recently on a boat trip and got a lot of enjoyment from them!
