I run quite a bit, and it is nice to have something that will store various trinkets like a credit card, ID, hotel or house keys, maybe a smart phone and a snack. This pack does a good job of holding these things securely at your waist so that they don't shake/bounce around like they might in a pocket. There isn't much more annoying than a house key or gel packet bouncing around in your pocket for a couple of hours during a long run.The construction is pretty simple: it is a nylon/spandex loop with 4 pockets on the "outside" in addition to a reflective NATHAN logo on the "front." There are no zippers as the belt relies on overlapping flaps and tension to keep things in place. It might not sound secure, but it is simple and works very well without adding extra weight or places that it could rub and cause chafing. You put it on by stepping into it like a pair of pants and adjust it to sit at your waist -- there are no ties or anything, so be sure to pick the correct size: something that will be snug but not too tight. My waist is around 36, and the Medium is a bit too tight on me. My son will use this one, so the smaller size is just right for him. As with any belts of this type, they do get pretty sweaty/stinky and need to be cleaned: machine wash in cold water and hang to dry. There is no need to hand wash, which is good. The belt is very comfortable and I pretty much forget it is there when I am running. I have an old iPhone 5 that I carry with me, and it fits nicely into one of the pockets -- for what it is worth, I favor the pocket in the middle of my back since the load virtually disappears and there is no bouncing)As a side note, you can also use this as a money belt of sorts when traveling. For the extra paranoid, you can put your cash into the belt and then turn it inside out so that the pockets face your body and nobody can get at them. The only downside there is that the care instructions will be on the outside, which does look a little weird if you're wearing the belt on the outside. As far as construction, the belt is well-built, but the seam is a little loose where the ends of the fabric join together (the pack is a length of fabric with the ends sewn together to form a loop) and I can see light through that seam at the top. This appears to be a slight flaw in the one I received as the rest of the seam is double stitched and tight.

This is a fantastic training pack to hold all your belongings safely during your workouts. I had a lot of doubts about this product and have spent way longer testing it than I expected to. I will try to outline the results below.First of all, this unit is noted as "medium" and I wondered, would it really be forgiving enough to fit somebody outside the bounds of medium? This material is very stretchy and it comfortably fit me, even when I tried it after meals. Even though it looks small, slipping it on over your upper body is not difficult at all.Storage is functionally built in. This unit actually has 2 flaps all around, so it might be a normal mistake to try to wear it upside down.I think the ideal way to wear this is with the outer flap facing down, so that when you lift it the inner flap is facing up. Then when you place your items inside, they are held in the inner flap by gravity and the outer flap prevents them from flying out if you jump. The width of the product is actually less than what I expected. It is functional enough but I wish it was a little wider. But maybe they would have to make it longer then too. Phones are getting bigger and bigger and I don't think you will be super comfortable if you try to jam an iPhone 6S Plus into this. But opinions may vary. The only other thought I have is that the back 2 compartments are hard to get to. If you really need to use all 4 compartments, you have to kind of rotate this and put your stuff in the back first.CONCLUSIONThis is a really well designed product. I highly recommend this for men and women alike.

Nathan The Hipster Running Belt pack and Fitness Belt is a good addition to our running and travel gear. The unisex belt is made of well-stitched nylon with multiple pockets. It is a step-in belt that fits over or under wife’s running clothing. I do not carry my iPhone 6+ while running but my wife does. She states that her iPhone 6+ in an Ottorbox fits in the front pocket only in a straight up position only, so half of it sticks up out of the pocket. Her phone does ride smoothly without movement while she walks and listens to music via Bluetooth speakers. While running, her large model iPhone in its protective case has fallen out of the front pocket twice into her tucked-in tech shirt.A smaller phone would fit completely in the pocket. For both of us, the belt is useful for carrying keys, ID, gel, headbands, and even small water bottles. My wife works for a travel agency and reports that belt is useful for all types of travel in addition to running: planes, trains, ships, and autos. The medium size fits snugly but comfortably so the belts seem to run small for stable results.I give the Hipster Running belt a 5 star for fit and stability while running and traveling. If you carry the iPhone 6+ encased in an Ottorbox while running though, you need a separate holder for it.

The premise of this "pak" is pretty simple - take a rectangle of stretchy spandex, fold it in thirds the long way, sew the ends together, and then make some more stitches to separate the round tube into four pouches. So far so good. The pak goes over your head (or you could step into it), and, assuming you got the size right, rests snugly around your waist while you move around, providing a place to keep your phone and keys, and maybe your wallet. If your waist is bigger than your hips it's not going to work, and, given that the width of the pak is about 3-1/2 inches, some phones and wallets and keychains may also be beyond its capacity, especially if you're moving vigorously, and the fit is not totally snug.I found the pak did a good job of holding my stuff, but I had to fumble a bit to get my phone out. The outside edge of the fabric pouch is just folded, with no trim or thicker hem, and it's a bit hard to feel it without looking. The hang tag also says "hand wash only" while the printing on the pak itself says "machine wash cold," which is not helpful for something I'm going to sweat into.

This is such a handy gadget for anytime you need to be hands-free with your phone and still be active. I have an iPhone 6 plus, and it does fit inside the pocket. With a phone this big though, I found it works best to use bluetooth (versus corded) earbuds for listening. When I had regular corded earbuds poking out of the pocket, it created enough drag that actually caused my phone to pop out of the pocket when I bent over. I was doing work around the house when this happened. When I moved outside to doing yard work, I switched over to bluetooth earbuds and the phone stayed securely inside the pouch. I wear a size 10 pants, and the M fits me well. It is quite snug, but I can wear it from my waist (smallest point)down to my hips (largest point) depending on what's comfortable at the moment. Because it accents love handles, I actually wish I had a size L instead. I think a slightly looser fit may be more visually appealing. But the idea is to keep things secure while you're exercising to REMOVE those love handles, and it certainly achieves that purpose.

Interesting product with lots of potential. This is essentially a spandex belt with some fold-over pockets built in. My iPhone 6s slides easily into the front pocket. You need to make sure the corners of the material holds your iPhone in place, otherwise it could slip out with any vigorous exercise. But once in place, the phone does not move at all. Keys and an ID will fit as well, but they need to add another slot for those. I love that my phone no longer has to be attached to my arm or sit in my pocket, which makes running uncomfortable. I received the 32"-34" version of this pak, and it was a little too tight for me (32" waist). After a long run and some other exercise, it started to feel even tighter.I wear this along my belt line and cover it with my shirt. Would also work well with a Sticky brand concealed weapon holster if you feel the need to take protection along on your hike or run, but buy up a size if you want to do that. Overall, a nice product that I enjoy using. Just a little tight but maybe that will ease up over time.

I previously had a waist belt that was similar to a Flipbelt, but after a while items - like a flexible water bottle - started to fall out during runs and it became over-stretched. The final straw was when I found myself trying to keep my phone in the belt and kept finding it working its way towards the end.I chose the Nathan because it was a "top loader" belt, rather than fitting items in sideways. And it had separate compartments, unlike my previous belt which was one long compartment with four entry points. I'm a size 16 and bought a Large, which, although it seems quite fitted, wasn't at all uncomfortable when I ran - in fact I didn't notice it during my runs and at the end sometimes forgetI'm still wearing it until I take off my shorts/leggings.I'm so glad I found this and hope it lasts a lot longer than my last one (which lasted just about a year).

If you like carrying a bunch of stuff with you when you run, give this belt a try. 4 pockets give you plenty of space to carry a smartphone, gel packs, wallet, keys, etc. The pockets have fold-over closures without zippers or velcro, but the stretch fabric holds them tight enough that I haven't had any problems with stuff falling out. The stretch fabric holds you stuff snug so it doesn't bounce around when you run like stuff in your pockets would. There is no size adjustment, so you have to make sure you buy the right size. I am a male with a 34 inch waist and size medium fits me well.Note: there is no water bottle pocket and I expect the belt is to flexy to clip one on,so this product isn't for you if you need to carry water with you. There are other running belts on the market made from sturdier fabric that could support the weight of a water bottle.

I have a lot of things to carry on me when I run, walk, and hike (including, but not limited to, an inhaler, epipen, keys, ID, phone). This belt was on sale so I figured if it didn't work for me that it wasn't the end of the world, but it works! I can wear it over my hips and everything stays in place. The belt sometimes rides up a tiny bit, depending on what I'm doing, but this does not happen often. It is very comfortable and now I don't have to always bring my purse or a bag on excursions. I have a Galaxy S10 phone, which is a little big for the pockets on the belt, but I can squeeze it in and it hasn't fallen out yet.I was also a little concerned about the fit initially because I saw reviews saying it didn't work well for pear-shaped figures but it fits me well.

I have some shorts without pockets and even a couple with a small pocket. This training pak allows me to put my keys somewhere snuggly while I run. This is especially necessary for people in urban areas when they need a fob or electronic key to get back into an apartment building (when I had a house, no need for such a thing, just a code on the garage door). You could tie your fob to your shoelaces, but hitting a puddle might ruin the fob. This lets you know your keys are safe and not worry that they have jumped out of your pocket as you ran. I found the pak to fit comfortably. I got a medium and have a 32 inch waist. I didn't use it to carry anything other than keys, but there is enough room to carry other small and lightweight things (like room keys or an ID).

My son, the cross country runner for his high school, saw this and begged me to get it. I was hesitant because the size was listed as medium and my son is a tall, skinny, bony kid. He still wears boys' size since his waist is non-existent. But he said he could rig it tighter if needed. When this came, it fit him perfectly so the size M ran smaller than I expected. It wasn't snug. He liked it because it holds his ear buds, phone and his wallet when running on days when he is not at school. The fabric doesn't get icky or sweaty so that's a plus. He likes the black but my daughter who is also in cross country has been badgering me for the pink one. For the money, it's a good buy.

I love my hipster belt. I use it for every run and when I go cycling and I don't even know it's there. It allows me to bring my phone and a few essentials. I wore it for all three marathons I have run. My complaint would be with the sizing. I have two in size medium. The first one fits perfect. The second one in size medium is slightly too small. So, I ordered my newest one in size large. Well, the newest one I bought is a different fabric which is more stretchy and it is quite a bit larger. So, if I had known it was a different fabric, I would have bought a size medium. I still use all three and it was quite inexpensive, so all in all, I am happy with the product.

I very, very rarely write reviews- but I love this running belt so much that I felt I owed Nathan Sports the courtesy. I wear my belts on my hips, just above my bum, so in the past I have had problems with them (Velcro belts, buckle belts, I've tried them all) creeping up my waist, especially if it contains my phone; this belt stays locked in place, doesn't budge at all, not even running up hills. It has managed to stay put no matter what material shorts I'm wearing, which is amazing. I can't even feel the weight of my phone in it. You also can't beat the price!!! For size reference, I wear a size 4 & ordered a size small & it's a perfect fit.

I didn’t find this convenient for using a flexible water flask (Salomon). The 250ml fit no problem but was far more finicky than chest mount with a running vest.Fantastic for carrying small items though. When I jog to work wearing minimalist running gear, this carries an iPhone 7plus with room to spare, wallet, keys, earbud case, with still one compartment left. I could fo for longer runs with it no problem, but I prefer the feel of minimalist shorts so I only use it run/ commutes where I have to carry things to my destination. No slipping when loaded for short runs (less than 5k). Also didn’t or ride up on 10-13k runs with a 250ml flask.

Let me start off with saying that this doesn't work for large phones as it claims. I have a Nokia 1520 and it's not close to fitting, which means neither does the iPhone 6 Plus. That said it'll work for standard or small phones. There are four individual pocket sections that open and close by overlapping material. As long as the size fits snuggly nothing should fall out. The material, construction and design are all very well done. The stretchy fabric is 86% nylon and 14% spandex. You can machine or hand wash but it must be air dried.Recommended.
