I have been running my GTX970 for some time now and desperately wanted to upgrade. The current state of the pc gamng market is poor, with vendors and manufacturers pricing their products with sheer greed.Having spent MANY hours researching the various cards out there, I felt disgusted at the thought of paying the current prices for the RTX cards, from the 2060 to the 2080.The thought of spending £800 on a graphics card left a bad taste in my mouth...RTX hasn't been enable properly, and DLSS is failing to live up to the hype."but you're reviewing the 2080Ti...."Yes... I am...This may seem contradictory and it is, I opted to go for the RTX 2080Ti gaming X Trio by MSI..Here is why I decided on this.I have a 4k2k Freensync monitor and as yet,no card has been able to deliver High/Ultra 4K at 60fps... until now...I was so sick of making a compromise between detail and smoothness I decided to go for the best I could get out right now.And boy does it deliver!4k2k on Ultra sees Shadow of the Tomb raider sitting at 60fps locked about 95% of the time. (A very demanding game)NVidia now support freesync, so magically my monitors adaptive sync capabilities came alive and I have never seen such buttery-smooth gameplay at an almost photo-realistic fidelity!I bought it, regretted it instantly because of the price, but when I plugged it in, all regret faded. The card itself is stunning, and silent! At the above mentioned settings, the fans are barely audible and it sits at a comfortable 73 degrees whilst being near silent. This IS a stupidly expensive card, and if you are gaming at less than 4k2k 60fps OR 1440p 144hz I would strongly recommend looking for a lower tier card. But if you want the best there is to offer right now.... the 2080Ti cannot be beaten... this is coming from an AMD fan...The MSI Gaming X Trio is a fantastic piece of engineering and to push out this performance, whilst being unable to hear the card over my slow case fans is a real feat. Plus the RGB lighting is stunning and completely configurable. It is very large though, so please check your case fits this card, Luckily my NZXT H440 had room after I relocated one of the hard drives.* Would I recommend this card or any 2080Ti at this price? Heck NO!!* Would I recommend this card for high resolution, high-fidelity, soothe gaming with no comprises? Heck YES!!!!For me, the performance, and experienced has outweighed the high cost, that's not to say it's for everyone.I could have bought a £400 2060, but ill be replacing that in a year...I could by the next xx60 following, I'd only be replacing that a year later too...I suspect I'd have 3 xx60 cards in the same lifespan and still have never seen the visual "pretties" I do now for the same cost of this card...This card will last at least 3 generations (look at the 980ti still going stong)... therefore the cost actually goes towards a longer lasting card that needs replacing alot less often.Something to think about there.

I say that based on it's "out-of-the-box" performance, thermals, and noise. Benchmarks show it outperforming most of it's rivals. Is it expensive? Very. But, if you are looking to buy a top tier GPU and want to feel confident that you wont have to replace it in the next couple of years, then the price becomes less of an issue. Do you want to be able to play any game out there and not have to worry about fps(frames per second) dropping under heavy loads? Then it's a good buy.TLDRThis is a beast of a card and I highly recommend it. It's one of the strongest 2080Ti around, it's quiet and cool. It's expensive, and may not be useful for everyone. Most people who want decent performance and price would possibly be better off with a RTX 2060: great cards for the most part. However, you aren't going to need to replace it for a longer period. You're investing in duration of relevance.PERFORMANCETo give some idea of it's comparative performance: my GTX1070 when bench tested in Furmark's 1080p GPU test scored 75fps(no OC), this GPU clocked in at 229fps(no OC). I could reel off a load of other bench-tests but, they all tell the same story. You wont be let down buy it's performance.THERMALSAs stock it is set to a zero rpm fan speed, which don't kick in until the GPU hits around 60 degrees C. This isn't really a problem, it's more of a personal gripe: a solid aluminium back-plate carrying 60 degrees of heat, before it starts cooling it's self, aiming directly at your CPU and RAM, puts a lot of unnecessary heat into your system. I would suggest you use MSI Afterburner(GPU utility) and set the fan to "Auto". It will remove that heat and the GPU will sit at around 30 degrees, while the fans remain barely audible.NOISEWe all hate the whirring of fans from a hot and stressed system while gaming. I can happily tell you that an "auto" fan curve is pretty noiseless, even in my Lian Li case which seems to amplify any fan noise, it's virtually silent. Even under a severe load the 3 fan design does a very efficient job of dissipating heat while keeping the noise down - To the point where, with good case airflow evacuating internal case heat, this makes this GPU barely audible to a quite quiet non intrusive maximum. My Corsair H100 Pro AIO cooler is much louder than this GPU at any part of it's fan curve - like for like. I initially had coil whine from the fans on zero rpm, which while quiet, was noticeable. Whether from the "auto" fan curve or it just needed time to settle, it stopped the next day.I hope this gives you a fuller picture of this GPU, and are able to make a more informed purchase.

This is an excellent card, immensely powerful. Note also the card is VERY long and requires THREE power connectors. I am running it under WINDOWS 7 PRO, 16GB of DDR3 1600mhz memory, i7- 8 core 3870 processor, Asus Sabertooth mobo.No noticeable bottle necking.PC Games can play at 4k with a great frame rate, and I tested it on Doom 2016, Doom Eternal ,No Mans Sky & Watchdogs 2.The games ran fast...almost too fast at times...silky smooth, except for Watchdogs 2, this needed extra tweaking but still looked great. So then I checked all the game settings....and realised I had V-Sync TURNED OFF on each game. V-Sync,limits your frame rate so I put this on. The card cooled down within a couple of minutes, everything still ran great. I then turned everything down from ULTRA to High...just in case. Now everything still looks amazing and still runs amazing. Plus it's all running a lot cooler.A great card that is actually made affordable with the 12 month buy now pay later program VERY runs. The card is powerful, heavy and makes everything look great. It has ONE HDMI port and I'm running it of a 55" Sony 4k TV.This card is HIGHLY recommended.

Bought this card a few days before the new year and received it new years eve. Looks great, build quality is brilliant, I should also mention it's a pretty large card, performs fantastic and considering its high default overclock temperatures whilst gaming have not exceeded 70 degrees as of yet. Over 144 FPS in most games at 1440p including titles such as For Honor and Rainbow Six Siege. Despite the price of these RTX cards, this one in particular comparing to other sites was a bargain as there ALOT more expensive elsewhere. Very happy with this purchase!

remains pretty cool even in my small kolink micro atx case under heavy loads using 3d rendering software which hits it harder than most games would, this is mainly due to the beefed up cooling for the OC edition and even if you don't over clock its ideal for smaller cases the temp on the card never getting above 72c no matter what you push at it and scoring 97 on 3d markmy system ryzen 1700x 32 gig of ram

The first MSI product that I have bought and it does not fail to impress. Ultra quiet when not overclocked and even when under full load. It is a beast though - not only in performance but also in size ( you need a large case with plenty of airflow ). The lighting is attractive and visually stunning.Recommended as long as you can afford it !!!

Will chew any thing you throw at it. Not loud, performs well. Quite expensive but I dropped on a bargain!
