This review is in two parts. The first part is short about the card. the Second part is in relation to the delivery.Card Summary: Card is great, I highly recommend it.Delivery Summary: Delivery was terrible and this review is a way to voice the issue - it could have happened to anyone. The card. The GeForce GTX1060 6GB SC is more than adequate for my needs. The initial Game testing I have done on it, makes a world of difference moving up from onboard graphics - I am not overly technical so won't go into technical aspects. It is fairly simple to install, supply the power to it via a 6 pin PCIE connector, any software / drivers needed the PC took care of all of that.I would recommend to anyone prepared to spend the money on a high spec 1060 card, with a singe fan card requirement (i was limited by case dimensions). Check your card dimensions, check your PSU, install and enjoy.Amazons delivery. The process of getting the card, was poor and disappointing, between Amazon and the Courier.Amazon have always delivered to expectations in the past. I recently started paying for prime and whilst I wont make a correlation between the two, the first delivery on a paid prime service, went wrong twice. In total I received 2 GPU cards from Amazon.I placed the order on Wednesday 25th April 2018 (sold by Amazon, shipped by Amazon) and got the 1st card on Thursday 26th April 2018.The Graphics card is shipped by Amazon in the graphics card box, (as it comes from the manufacturer), mine was not taped or wrapped, already open, slightly crushed & slightly ripped - inside you could say it all looked ok (If I assume it is complete), but not knowing how it should look when buying a new graphics card and not wanting to put a potentially a used, dropped or faulty card into a PC, I phoned Customer services as soon as receiving it and requested a replacement. The replacement couldn't be shipped for the next day, even though in stock, the replacement card would be picked on Saturday 29th April and then delivered on Monday 30th April. I was given the choice to cancel my order and re-place the order - but I would not know if the second one would arrive in the same way, so the Amazon CS rep assured me that if I went for the replacement, it would be picked, packed in a box and shipped to me for Monday 30th. I could then return the existing open graphics card box in the replacement Graphics card delivery packing from Amazon.Frustrating but with no way to accelerate or escalate the issue, I had to accept that my 9 year old son would be disappointed.Monday came, expectations were set. The Amazon app gave a notification that the delivery driver showed up as being just a few more stops away, 30 minutes later the notification said the delivery had failed because no one was available to sign for the goods - not sure what the 60 people in the building and the staffed reception were doing - however given that there have been several occasions of failed deliveries to the address across many Amazon accounts, it can be assumed there is a common link (and it isn't the customers).Another call to Customer Services, to discuss the failed promised delivery - achieved nothing more than an investigation request internally. Advised it would arrive Tuesday 1st May. It did. the Graphics card came in cellophane, so no box, no packaging beyond what the manufacturer intended. I wasn't so worried about this, it looked new.Attached are two images.1.) The original Graphics card as received, box half open. It appears to be used / 2nd hand.. why? no cellophane, box open, different anti static stickers applied, power adapter cable unpacked.2.) The 2 graphics cards together, you can see that the replacement on the left, is packed differently, with different static stickers, the power cable adapter is in a sealed bag (as opposed to the first delivery which just had the cable loose in the box.)Why a 4 star review? If I give it 5 stars, it seems like everything went well. The card is definitely worthy of 5 stars. Had the first card (Sold by Amazon, Shipped by Amazon) arrived as new, it would be a 5 star review. 3 stars would reflect poorly on the card, I don't want to do that. The Logistics, used goods, not meeting customer expectations and inability to deliver when suggested, it was just bad, and I feel that some other online businesses, whilst a few pounds more would have taken a bit more care and attention to what was happening..

Arrived in a terribly shoddy box with the name and address of the previous owner still on it! I didn`t realise until I`d taken it otherwise I wouldn`t have. However, after I`d fearfully removed the cardboard box, the graphics card itself was in perfect condition, in it`s original box and sealed. Clearly it had not been used or 2nd hand... I breathed a sigh of relief as I was ready to complain and send it right back. Who knows how much hassle that would`ve been? It`s lighter than my R9390 8 gig (which died on me) and use only one power connector, but it runs faster and better. The fans don`t even start up until the workload starts hitting it. It comes with a driver disk and utilities (I used uptodate drivers on the net). There is an overclocking utility with Nvidia that should help boost your card`s abilities further, but why do they need me to register with my name and address and even phone number? Why? What next my DNA and Dental records? Seriously, these people get way too full of themselves. I`ve decided not to bother with it.Runs games like Xcom 2, IL2 and Elite on Ultra settings no problem at all and that extra gig helps with sims like IL2 which require over 3 gig vram for Ultra landscape graphics. It`s also pretty quiet (though I do use rubber screws all over the case).Interesting, I`ve noticed that Nvidia`s colour palette is slightly washed out compared to AMD`s....NOt really a criticism.I`ve only had the card 2 days so I cannot give it a high rating, only a medium rating until I`ve run it for at least a month. Too oftem i`ve given something or someone high praise after trying it for a brief period then 2 seconds later they fail spectacularly. However, it`s doing a fine job so far.So 3 stars... I still can`t get over how awful the packaging was that it was delivered in though.

A very nice card. Putting the fan up to 75% speed sees the GPU Boost reach 1.99GHz and is sustained at 1.96GHz. Yes, nearly, 2Ghz, without needing to overclock. You will definitely, hear this fan at 75% speed. The fan, itself, uses a dual ball-bearing design, which means theoretically running the fan at 75% 24/7 for many years will be OK. Though, it would be a better idea to simply adjust the fan when gaming via EVGA Precision X.Gaming wise, with only 3GB of memory, playing games with the very higher textures will be affected by stutters. This is because the very high textures can spike memory usage over 4GB for a second or less, should you not have at least 5GB of vram, stutters will occur during gameplay, even at 1920x1080 resolution. Therefore, playing with the (lower) high textures settings will be needed to achieve stutter free gameplay. Even with the high texture settings, other effects can be maximised, like Anti-Aliasing can be raised to 16X. Adding extra shadow detail and depth of field and so on.For people wanting to to play games at the highest textures, buy a GPU with more memory, that is over 5GB. However, people playing games without complex and demanding textures max settings, then this card is a very nice buy.

Now there are plenty of 1060s for under £300 and i bought this one a few months ago for about just under £300 and at the time it was probably worth it but around the time of this review if you are looking at buy this particular card or something within the same price point id recommend you don't. Reason why is as the 1070 for a couple of more quid and it is worth the performance as its about 38% faster give or take for like an extra £70 or so for the cheaper 1070s.Either way it is still a quality made card with great performance but if you are a little tight on a budget and you have the much to spend on a 1060 i'd maybe buy one of the cheaper ones and put the money into an ssd or better ramif those are areas that could do with improvement now rather than later

Been using this for a few months now and very happy with it, have used some of the latest and most demanding software with it and it has no problem giving great frame rates, also installation was a breeze.Only issues is perhaps that the fan can at times get a little noisy when the cards under stress and on a rare occasion it totally screws up the monitor display but tbh this could just as easily be the software as it could be the card so who knows.Would recommend it to any serious gamer who needs performance but hasn't got the budget for the best.

I think you will need at least 500 watts power supply with a GTX 1060.I had 400 watts which is supposed to be adequate, but my PC kept freezing during graphics hungry games, and I thought at first it was due to overheating. I also tried an ASUS card. Same thing. However it was not due to overheating. When I changed the power supply from 400 watts to 500 watts my PC was OK.I think the graphics card draws a lot of current at times, which leaves the motherboard and/or hard drive lacking power.

This graphics card is great for people who just want to play games at a smooth fps with a limited budget. The main game i play right now is Rainbow six siege and this card is meeting all of my expectations as i can top out at around 115fps on high settings so i think that this card is great for the price right now but it could be worth it to save up your money and buy a different card if you don't want to keep upgrading. If you do save your money up i would recommend a 1660TI or a 1070 8gb.

this took me only 10mins to set up and download all the drivers i used to have a GTX 1050ti 4gb and i would get maybe 60-80 fps on rainbow six siege on high settings now i get 120+ on high settings and games like Fortnite CSGG PubG and Apex legends are all a breeze for this card all getting to 80+ fpsthis card by far as the lowest noise profile of any card i have ever seen i have had this card for 4 months and i can not be happier even with over clocking i still cant hear itGreat

Very impressed and quiet which surprised me as it runs in a mini case sits just above 60c, card is small - I went with the ssc version here as it has a better heatsink than the cheaper model, the heat pipes are tiny so shows a 1060 does not need a massive heatsink and a single fan is fine,The only downside is 3GB ram, I bought it for a 1080 TV but seems tight 4GB to me is the min for a card at this price point,

I have an Alienware X51 R2 which had an older card. Games had stated to get a bit laggy and FPS low. Brought this and it was and easy swap. It’s a compact design so there is more space in the compact-form case, and I already have a SSD which means temps are kept down and power load too. Really impressed with the performance, and this handles modern titles really well. Such an upgrade from old card.

6.8.2018

Really nice GPU, works really well but make sue you have an above average CPU or it will be choked on CPU heavy games.i5 7400 3.0ghz wouldn't play certain games (kingdom come, assassins creed unity or newer) above 10fps on low settings but other games will play at crazy FPS' on ultra settings unlike before. now upgrading to an i7 7700k to resolve that issue.

23.8.2019

Works very well for 1080p gamimg and quite well for 2560x1440. I had limited space for my build and EVGA have always been good quality in my experience. I would note that the fan does get a bit on the noisy side at times, but I generally have the side off my case as I'm tinkering a lot as I use my PC as a test rig for other bits.

29.5.2018

All the games I have tried so far, run very well.Under load, the cooling fan can become very noisy. The additional software that would allow the fine tuning of the fan and of the card requires registration, not sure why this is a requirement.

11.5.2018

EVGA cards are my go to, for their customer service and every product I have owned of theirs is great.Good little budget card at the time and price I got it for. Small and very, very quiet also. Always a bonus.

31.7.2018

Not sure what to say, it's small, it performs well.I do hear it running during games but it's fairly quiet.I would love to wait for the next generation of Geforce 11's but release dates are likely end of 2018
