Make no mistake this card is very powerful and it is really tough, but if intending on using it to game at 4k / above 60 fps you will need to sli two of these, which is a heartbreaking amount of money. One of these on its own was hitting 44-47 frames a second on a well known 4k benchmark for me. Only after addding a second could I hit above the 60 fps mark.. I bit the bullet.Gaming in 1080p will not require another card and most current games will be perfectly fine on one of these.Upgrading your psu is a must if it is under powered for the GTX 1080, and even more crucial if putting more in your pc.I don't find these any louder than a console and hope my investment pays off long term. Can't say i'm keen on the current trend of selling Motherboards and graphics cards in open boxes,as it makes customers wonder if the units are repaired returns from the manufacturer. Power supplies are sealed, so i just don't get it.I took a really good look at these and if they are refurbed, the tech was very very good! The bottom card runs cooler in my setup,as it has nothing immediatly underneath, try and set the top cards fan with more caution as it can run 10c higher because of the card underneath being close ( if your setup is similar )Thermally stable, well built, fans look cheaper than they actually perform- no sli cable in the box with sparse instructions,so I had to do some research before (and after) purchase.Lighting effects can be turned on/off/changed via the app on the included dvd-rom. There have been two updates to VGA Bios (F2) and driver version 21.21.13.7633 is now current on mine after finding the update portion of the gaming app (region specific)A year on, and prices are coming down and i'd say if you like your games on a decent screen with ultra settings you won't be feeling the financial pinch as much.I noticed the HB bridge makes 2 of these a lot faster (7 - 10 %)

Nvidia's Pride and glory when it comes to 1080p gaming. For ANYONE building a budget 1080p gaming computer, you don't need to go further than the 1060.It's cheap, cool, efficient and won't let you down in performance.I've included pictures of what this looks like compared to my old R9 6970 which was the top dog 1080p card back about 5 years ago. there's about 4 generations of GPUs between these and the 1060 has about 4x the amount of gaming performance while drawing about 1/4 of the power. For performance numbers, there are several reviews out there so go and pick your favourite for numbers but trust me, if you want 1080p,this card will play pretty much anything on maximum settings.Don't cheap out on the 3gb models as games are starting to utilise up to 3.5-4gb in extreme cases. If you're considering the GTX 1060 vs RX480/580 there are some things to note:* The 480/580 8GB WILL outperform the 1060 6gb by a very small margin. This is tied only to some games (Again, go look at benchmarks in detailed reviews).1060 is cooler (less power = less heat)1060 is more power efficient (about 120v vs 150w(480)/180w(580), but this is not really a problem even with a cheapo 450w power supply)480 is in VERY short supply given that it's now previous gen and any small stock is being eaten up by crypto miners.580 is also in very short supply (usually on 2-3 week backorders) again, due to crypto miners. The 1060 is excellent for tiny builds if you choose an iTX version. The 580s are huge due to their cooling requirements. The iTX versions overheat. Can push 1440p gaming on all 3 GPUs if you turn down settings a small bit.Hope that helps you make your decision.

Reading the other reviews I can see that I'm not the only one upgrading from a GTX680, as mine had unfortunately come to the end of its life after almost 5 years of use, and after doing a lot of research it seemed that these days you could get a card that was much more powerful than the 680, but with a lot lower power draw, making this 1060 6BG one of the best mid range cards out there for a 1080p gamer. It'll play everything at that resolution on max and stays under 60c for me so far even at high load, and it's whisper quiet too. Its small form factor compared to the much larger 1070 and 1080 cards make it great for smaller cases too.Gigabyte offer a three year warranty with generally great build quality, and at the price I paid it's one of the best deals for a 6GB 1060, let alone a custom cooler overclocked version like this one. My only complaint is that the description lacks what power cable it needs which is just 1 x 6 pin.Overall, this is a supremely balanced card, relatively small, very quiet, decently powerful and with 6GB of ram it offers a lot of future proofing, as even on 1080p my max setting on GTA5 uses up 4GB, so getting the 6GB version over the 3GB one makes a lot of sense too.I'm very happy with this card, even allowing for its comparative value at the time, a lot more so than I was with the 680 due to the 1060 having a smaller form factor and quieter performance, and a much lower price, it's without question the nicest pound-for-pound card I've ever owned.Highly recommended, especially at the 6% discount sale price I got it for.

Great GPU for the price, i was originally going to get the Zotac one but when i bought my parts it was out of stock so i looked for an alternative so i got this one, it was £10 more, but it was either that or wait god-knows how long so here i am.Now as the title says it's a great GPU, i get 50-60FPS on GTA V Maxed out! At 1080p with the very rare drop in the 40’s when driving super fast through the city with high speed cop chase action, and get solid 60’s in Dishonoured 2 (Very High Settings) DOOM (Very High Settings) no stuttering issues or anything so that should be a good enough example of how well it runs, that’s paired with the Intel Pentium G4600,and it's great honestly really good value for the money. But the only downside for me is the fan noise, i have it in the Node 202 so i expected it to get hot, and thus have the fans ramp up, but i didn't think it would be so loud at such low speeds, it's inaudible at about 20% but in the 30-40% range it gets quite loud and 50%+ is just unbearable, i've had a number of GPU before this one and none of them have been as loud, now though i’ve used the 2 optional fan slots on my case and have them spinning slow, so i tweaked the fan curve to stay at 20% (On the GPU) and have the case fans do most the work and the highest it's gotten with that setup is 64c which is perfect, before that it was 70c with 60% fan speed, which as i said was really loud and unbearable, for me that is anyway, i know some people couldn't care less about fan noise.Overall though great card which i very much recommend!

I acquired the GTX 1060 to replace my old 650Ti Boost...I know... a card from an different era ! I hesitated a long time to which model was relevant based on my current configuration. I hesitated between the 3go and the 6go version. For the long run I decided to go for the 6go.The card itself is very nice and installing it was no struggle. I was a bit worried in terms of space but it has the same size roughly as the 650Ti. The PC started with no issues. I only had issues when I wanted to install the last version of the drivers. The install failed even if I selected a brand new installation. I fixed this using Driver Cleaner PE to clean the previous drivers. It worked straight away.In terms of performance it is clearly visible on some games (Deus Ex Mankind, Assassin's Creed Syndicate, Wreckfest, Prey...) but others less (Assassin's Creed Origin, Far Cry 5).The card is very silent, I read some comment about a noisy card...It was not the case with mine..so far. I will update this if anything changes. The big upsetting thing was the delivery, Amazon just shipped the box of the card..with nothing around it to protect it. I received the box with the delivery document sticked directly to it. As the card is just under a thin carton protection I was worried that it could be damaged. I reported straight away the issue as I found it shocking for a product at that price and that fragile !Anyway I am very happy so far with this card ! Even if nowadays buddles are a bit cheap with no stickers or anything else...

My purchase of this graphic card has been backed by an extensive research.I've looked for a video production setup without a need to invest in Tegra. You can't get any better graphic card for that price. In fact, it easily beats any previous generation graphic cards. The electricity usage is also very low.G1's design in terms of airflow is a ledge. I keep it overclocked to 2000mhz and I keep playing full spec games in 60p without the temperature rising over 50 degrees Celsius. There is a number of websites, searchable with google, pointing in the direction of buying this card over the Founders edition or, in fact, any other one such as MSI.It is a full package- you get the software, the hardware AND those beautiful LEDs - a nice touch to it.Performance in video editing? It primarily does utilise CUDA cores so probably 1070 would be better, but I am able to apply CPU-intensive effects such as stabilisation or just save the full HD video in a VERY short time. Constant, fluid preview when applying colour balance is also a nice touch, and if you ever had your computer boiling up in premiere before you finished up with your work, you know what I'm saying. This card is not only a brilliant value for money, but also saves you from any nasty surprises. It feels very future proof.Only drawback is the lack of SLI enabled, but I can live without it since I am not a hardcore gamer, nor I work in 3D environment. It does not choke on full HD Virtual Reality, and that's something.5/5 - I love it.

Can't afford a 1080 (would need a much better pc to justify a better card than the 1060)....I bought this particular card directly from Overclockers who had a better price than Amazon and I also chose to have the payment processed by Amazon Pay which then qualified me for free fast delivery = a win/win.I also used Overclockers as other suppliers were more expensive and/or out of stock and/or had slower free delivery.I chose this particular version of the card as it is overclocked and runs my screen with a refresh rate of 165Hz (the blurb says it has military grade components etc which helped steer my choice as I wanted to use it overclocked). My pc runs an I5-2500 (and needs better)and "luckily" my old gaming monitor died not long after and I bought an Asus ROG PG278QR - with the older pc and this 1060 card and my new Asus monitor, GTA V is now a different world, with most settings high, filtering kept x2, and with post fx set to ultra; the card and monitor (using G-SYNCH together) work very well and I get a refresh rate of 40-60Hz in GTA V at a res of 2560x1440, and I now run my desktop at 2560x1440@165Hz with a small font that is crystal clear.NOTE: Important - to turn gsynch on for older games like GTA V you do need to enable the NVIDIA control panel "Set up G-SYNCH" option which IS obvious BUT you also need to use "Manage 3D settings" and the "Global Settings" tab to set "Monitor Technology" as "G-SYNCH"

This card is brilliant for the price; there's no noise when its idle due to the beefy cooler being good enough to not need the fans running in this state. Even when gaming or other high intensity tasks this card is still not that loud. However there are some problems aesthetically: the card being £150 I expected a little better quality than I received, the GPU shroud and back plate are both plastic, don't get me wrong its good quality, but I would normally expect an aluminium back plate and possibly shroud at this price point. this isn't to say it doesn't look good, this card looks really nice and has the benefit of an all back back plate; something that influenced my purchase of this cardover some others. The drivers for this card were also easy to install not to mention the ease of physical installation, it was a pleasant experience when putting this card into my system. the driver disc came in handy too because I still have a disk drive which made them easy and quick to install. This card is great though and at around the £150 mark is definitely one of the if not the bast GPU out their (in my opinion).

On boot up, the fan was silent, as soon as it got over 62 degrees, the fans kicked up to 100% speed. This is obviously not acceptable, and I complained the GIGABYTE's online support. Online support was very slow to reply, but after bouncing back and forth a few messages, they suggested that I reinstall the card. Before I was able to, the card managed to sort itself out, out of chance. I can confirm that this was the problem, but it is likely that I didn't install the card properly. Before I couldn't read any RPM measurements of the fans, and now I can. This review, therefore assumes that the card installed properly. The card is so quiet! Now that it works properly, I can only hear the fans above 60% fan speed. The performance from this card is astonishing. The following games can be played at 1080p on the highest settings: Overwatch (100 fps), BF1 (80fps), I haven't tested anymore games and I may update this with those values. In short, if this card is installed properly, it is incredible. Gigabyte's own software, xtreme gaming offers a lot of control.

first one was faulty but i have a good feeling this was due to poor handling with the postman, amazon sent out another one that day, before i even had time to package mine up and send it back, amazon are great in customer satisfaction in that respect, anyway down to the card. Before you buy this card make sure you CPU is capable of handly it, i made the mistake of not doing this and put it straight in with my AMD A10 quad core cpu, it bottle necked the cpu and stuttered alot on some games, (worked great on less CPU intensive games) i changed the card and put it in to my old i7 950 and boy is it a beast, have not found a game i cant play on max settings yet,i will leave a little list of games i have tried that could be considered high graphicsArk Survival EvolvedJust Cause 3Fallout 4Vanishing of ethan carterGuild wars 2these was all tested at 1920 x1080 resolutioni7 950 cpu16gb ram (although still just as good with 8gb)pics included and just cause 3 and the vanishing of ethan carter taken with this card

Bought from amazon warehouse. Massive discount as was described as box is damaged. But I didn't want to buy a box so I took the chance. The 1080 arrived and all was ok. The box was perfectly fine but had been opened and the static back was taped closed I assume buy someone checking if it was ok.I waited a while to test the card before putting up a review in case there was something wrong. Been testing it and playing games for over a week now and its perfect. The gamble paid off and I saved a tonne of money. The card itself if great, I upgraded from a gtx 770 2gb. Obviously it'll run game on max settings. For now I'm only using 1080 but a 1440 monitor is next on my list.I found it hard to pick a gtc 1080 because there is so many now so one thing I was looking at was once one was the coolest. Even after using this for hours and no matter how hard i try I cannot get this card to go over 68-70 degrees. It's amazing and its 90% quieter than the 770.very happy and will take a chance on warehouse deals again.

I bought this as an upgrade from my old R9 270X and I have to say I'm blown away by the results. There isn't a single game it doesn't run at max settings, 60fps at 1080p. It overclocks incredibly well while maintaining a decent temperature. My GPU reaches 2135Mhz and I hear most 1060's should be able to reach 2100Mhz pretty easily. If you download Gigabytes overclocking software or MSI Afterburner you can set your own custom fan curve so your gpu can always remain quiet, or maybe you could increase the fan speed for a nicer overclock. The fans aren't loud even at 80% I can't even hear them with a headset on, however the one I received coil whines and it is very, very noticeable. My friend has this card as well and his doesn't coil whine, so I suppose I just got a little unlucky. However I do recommend this card to anyone purchasing at this price point, it's a very nice little mid range graphics card and I don't see myself upgrading it for a while.

This was bought to upgrade my son's Gigabyte NVIDIA GTX 750 Ti WindForce2 graphics card to this one. When he first asked for this card for Christmas I figured I could do better (dad knows better, right?)... it was Christmas after all. After spending a significant amount of time searching around for that better graphics card, I had to admit defeat that my 13 year old knew better. On paper this was by far the best performance/value tradeoff I could find. sure, there were much better graphics cards but the cost also seems to exponentially increase also.My 13yr old son is extremely happy with this addition to his PC and able to run his games in "ultra graphics" mode that he couldn't before, even with the above graphics card. With this (combined with a new Be Quiet CPU fan - can I say that in this review for another product?) - his PC has gone from the sounds of a Jet Engine to "is your PC actually on" ?

I have just upgraded my sons PC with this card, along with an i5 7600k, 16 GB Corsair 2400 ddr4 memory, MSI z270 Tomahawk mb and an Arctic freezer pro rev 2 fan. The graphics card is perfect for his needs as he likes to play on 24" 1080 screens. It's is not only super quiet but plays any game effortlessly with no signs of any stutters, or breaking sweat. I haven't tried to clock it as I have had no need to. Will report back in a couple of months to see if things have changed. (All the parts were purchased from Amazon)UPDATE:24/2/17: Just maxed out settings for Rise of the Tomb Raider on a 24" Curved Samsung Monitor 1080 and is running without a glitch in sight. My PC is still running whisper quiet without any of the reported coil whine or noise. You can just about hear the GPU's fans kick in when you're in serious melee, but hardly audible. It maybe a faulty batch these people have purchased.
