I found myself considering the debate between a GTX 1060 and an RX 480 for a long time before biting the bullet and spending some extra money on a beast. I can safely say: I am very happy with it! My first impression was simply: Tehehehe It's like Christmas!! but shortly after the unwrapping I found out why people like Asus.PACKAGINGNow first impressions matter. When someone pays over £400 for a single item in a PC build they want it to look good from the shiny backplate to the cardboard box. The first thing that greets you in a gorgeous ROG Strix themed box with bright green boxes on either end stating that your product is indeed a GTX 1070 etc or whatever... Very nice.Open it up and there's another box with STRIX in capitals and some fancy bloodstain blurred background thing that's meant to suggest SPEEEED. Again: very nice.Open it up further and suddenly I see (suddenly I see) ORRR Maybe not.. The next layer has another box with 'Asus: In search of incredible' Stamped on it: next to it some protective foam. Inside that beautifully presented box are some ROG Velcro Cable ties, a disc with (presumably) graphics drivers on it (I jumped straight to Nvidia and Asus to get the latest ones), any promotional Gaff (I had a world of warships leaflet thing) and lastly a speed set up guide.Next: The big reveal. You remove the foam padding from beside the previous box (although not beside the previous box because you remove that too - they're in the way). You lift up a thin foam separation panel and drop it in amazement.... There's (one assumes) an anti-static bag making it slightly difficult to see your new graphics card (points for detail and safety though). The card actually sits inside a foam block with a cut out so that it is snug and secure (more points for safety). Once I removed the card from the bag I was met by an unexpected and pleasant surprise. Asus had covered every slot on the card that I could think of with a bit of plastic to protect it. All of the Display ports had caps on or in and the SLI and PCIe connectors had caps on too. One even told you it came off the DVI port and 3 covers told you they were made by Asus.BUT WHAT DOES THE CARD LOOK LIKE?Well, considering the fact that the card cost over £400 when purchased and Asus considered it worthy of complimentary Premium-feeling Cable Tidies and Dust caps: It looks gorgeous! The design is as perfect as I could have imagined. NOW, one thing to note is that a lot of areas on the card have thing plastic sticky clear things on them to protect them from finger prints so BE THOROUGH as they hide them on the backplate, the centre of the fans and all sorts of places like that - so just look for them at different angles in the light and try not to peel off any actual stickers if they're there. When you plug it in you can have a joyful time playing with the bountiful Asus Aura GPU software and make it dance and sparkle in as many colours as you can imagine*.YEAH YEAH YEAH... WHAT ABOUT PERFORMANCE?If you can render it, this thing will render it beyond belief. It'll render the lines so smooth you won't be able to tell reality from gaming (well maybe not but it does a damn good job). This thing maxes out Forza Horizon 3 with everything but the highest MSAA when playing at 1080p with an FX8320 (OC 4.5 - 5Ghz) and 16GB of ram. When paired with an appropriate processor (I7 of some high spec) I can easily see this thing running 60fps 4k with low/No MSAA and maybe 8x AA. The 8GB of Vram gives it a mass of headroom in any demanding game and will allow users to run 1080 perfectly, 1440p without a sweat and 4k with minimal sacrifices in filtering or light settings. In terms of temperatures I'm achieving 60 degrees Celsiusrunning practically 2000Mhz on the core clock and on the highest OC settings with low fan speeds. I've also made use of the fan headers which turn on two additional 140mm fans above a certain temperature**.THE UPGRADEI Swapped out my old HD7950 3GB Boost for this card and with a similar core count but a clock difference of over twice the speed from the old card to the new I saw almost 100% gain in performance in most scenarios. It has completely removed any GPU bottleneck while running a 1080p resolution. In the future I plan on buying another to run SLI 1070s and a triple monitor ultra wide setup. I am more than confident that two of these cards will run that sort of resolution in games that support it.Negatives*Would have liked to see Aura Sync between some older motherboards and this GPU ( IE 970 Pro Gaming/Aura).**This can cause issues when balancing over this temperature as the fans will turn off and on until it either remains lower than or stays higher than the given temperature (IE hotter or colder than 50 degrees celsius)I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS CARD FOR ANYONE THAT DOESN'T WANT TO SETTLE FOR 1060/RX480 LEVEL PERFORMANCE.Ask comments and I'll try to answer them as best I can.

Pros- Build quality is exceptional.- Stays ridiculously cool thanks to using the exact same cooling system as the ROG Strix 1070. This thing is basically a giant heatsink with a 3x fans. I run it in an NZXT H440 and have yet to get it over 52c overclocked even with Strix Fan Mode enabled.- It has loads of overclocking headroom, happily running at well over 2100Mhz with click of the mouse in ASUS GPU Tweak. The massively over-engineered cooling system and custom PCB help loads here.- Performs beautifully at 1080p. On average i get 70-80% extra performance over my old GTX 960 4GB.- This card has loads of added value features; The multimode RGB lighting that works with other ROG hardware and strobes to music, shows temperature etc.Additional 4 pin fan headers etc. A really nice backplate.Cons- This card is pretty darn big, and id recommend at least 32cm of clearance. I had to move my rig from a Corsair 380T to a NZXT H440 to accommodate it, and even then had to sacrifice a drive bay to fit it in and prop the cardup....which leads me to....- The weight, this slab of a GPU could very well weigh down and break a PCI slot if mounted on a vertical motherboard. Just be careful to mount the back bracket onto the case before letting go of the card!- to be honest, as nice as the card is, it's been argued before that this cards cooling system is way over-engineered for the 1060s actual cooling requirements and you are paying a premium over other models of 1060 for it.- It is, at time of writing, the most expensive 1060 6GB card out there. It's possible to get a 1060 6GB card for £70 less than this which will perform just as well for 90% of owners.- If you are looking at cards around the £300 mark and youre looking for pure performance, it could be argued that for only 30% more money you could get one of the cheaper GTX 1070 cards, which has a much better cost/performance ratio of the ROG Strix version being reviewed here. The GTX 1060 is currently hailed as the perfect 1080p GPU, and the ROG Strix 1060 6GB OC is the arguably the best and most fully featured of those cards. in other words, this is the best 1080p suited card out there. Massive overclocking headroom, thermal capacity and added features.However.......It RRPs significantly higher than most other 1060/6GB models. This extra money buys you a massive and arguably overkill cooling system and heavy duty custom PCB designed for a much more powerful card.If you simply want the best 1080p GPU out there this wins hands down. but, When you compare this to ASUS other 1060 models, or more compact cards by EVGA/Zotac which run perfectly fine on single fan coolers, you have to make your own mind up whether the extra money on the ROG Strix 1060 OC is money well spent.

Great graphics card for the price...This is an upgrade from a 750ti , some info that i managed to get over the course of about a month of heavy usage while paired with an i5 4460 and 8GB of ram:Temps under load : Never goes over 60-61 Celsius even after 4-5 hours of playing GTA 5 , Witcher 3 , Overwatch , Bioshock Infinite , CS:GO , Dirt 3 , Redout (all at ultra settings) , about 29-31 when not under load ( watching YouTube etc).Sound : when not on load you can't even hear it , its starts being a little bit loud over 50% but not noticeable when i had my Headphones on my head with the game sounds ,i tested turning the fans to 100% in MSI Afterburner and it sounds like an helicopter xD (My fan curve % was just taking the temperature and setting it as the fan% so at 56% the fans ran at 56% so it never got over 60% since the max temp was 60) ,FPS : ALL GAMES AT 1080p AND Geforce optimized (all the games were at a combination of Very High and Ultra ) -GTA 5 ~ 100FPS ( Game ran very smoothly,no shutters or frame drops never got under 70 fps even when very fast action was taking place in the middle of the city).Wticher 3 ~ 55 FPS ( Very good experience even under 60 FPS , even if the game ran sometimes at 45 fps , it was still a VERY nice experience)Overwatch ~ 140 FPS ( This is the only game that i had to change the settings from Very high to Ultra since it was not at the highest settings and i knew the game was gonna run on 100+ fps on those settings)CS:GO ~ 400 ( On the highest settings i had to change the limit of 300 FPS cap to unlimited ( fps_max 0 ) to be able to see the amount of frames i would get , so that blew me away since i couldn't get over 200 with the 750 TI on mid-high settings )Redout ~ ? ( Actually didn't test the game without the 100 fps limit , all the settings to ultra , never got one frame under 100 , just tested the game since i got it for free with the graphics card )Bioshock infinite ~ 150 FPS ( very nice game you should try it 10/10 would buy again )Conclusion - If you have anything older than the 900 series , and you want to upgrade that will make your computer able to run any game at high-ultra preset , this is one of the best cards there is , the 6GB of VRAM is MORE than enough for any game at 1080p or 1440p and even 4k , so this is future proof for 3-5 years , making it a great graphics card to get . If you are on a tight budget and you don't want anything else than 1080p? just buy the 3GB version , in 1080p gaming , on any game you won't use more than 3GB of VRAM for any of the current titles , and you will save about 50£ .ASUS GeForce DUAL-GTX1060-6G 6 GB Graphics Card - Silver

Don't listen to the low star reviews, they are all complaining about the extortionate prices put up by 3rd party sellers. And, as you can see now, they have gotten much better. It disappoints me when that happens because it puts a bad rep on otherwise great products and the ones to suffer are the manufacturers, such as Asus, when they've done nothing wrong! That aside, this card is absolutely incredible, in all areas. Let me elaborate.Aesthetics - 8/10:RGB functionality is great and looks great too, be it the backplate or the ROG logo.Heat fins light up due to the lighting, looks great at night.Backplate is beautiful and rigid and gets rid of sag.Card is long and wide but not too thick, which is great for ATX cases.Cooler - 9/10:Cooler looks greatIdles at 44'cLoad temps 69'c - 74'c (depending on game/settings)Cooler is very quiet. Doesn't spin at idle!Fan is inaudible unless at 85% speed or higher.Performance - 10/10:There isn't a game this card can't run (except Quantum Break cough cough cinematic 40fps at 1080p). I have my card paired with my Acer XB270HU which is 1440p, 144Hz and IPS. It goes with it beautifully. Every game runs silky smooth at well over 60fps at 1440p max settings. The Witcher 3 runs at 80-90fps, Battlefield 4 runs at 160fps (with no AA) and Star Citizen runs at 50-80fps in the PTU depending on the server, which is insane. It's an extremely high-end GPU and for a good reason. It gives the best performance you can get right now, besides the new overpriced Titan XP (not worth it in my opinion).Overclocking - 8/10Overclocking is good as I got mine up to and beyond 2100MHz. The best OC I put onto the card is +215MHz on the core and +400MHz on the memory. You can go higher but this was good for me. This overclock gave about 5-15fps boost over the already brilliant frame rates you get at stock. Very nice indeed!Verdict - 9/10:In conclusion this card is, simply put, incredible. If you're wondering which 3rd party design to get, get this one! Performance, overclocking, power consumption, cooling- this card ticks all the boxes and receives exceptional marks in all places.

This GPU is extremely good for the price & is well worth the money spent. This GTX 1060 Strix is the perfect upgrade from my old ASUS GTX 960 Strix which only had 2GB of VRAM & was about 80% slower in terms of performance. The extra VRAM is perfect for higher resolutions & makes 1080p gaming on Ultra settings amazing - always 60 fps+ even on new games! I have a 144Hz monitor & so the extra fps above 60 helps to massively improve the gameplay and this card is amazing value for the money. I was going to originally buy an ASUS GTX 1080 Strix because of the extra performance but it really is overkill unless you are doing 1440p/4k gaming & costs over double the price of this card. The new Pascal cards are worth the upgrade & this card matches the performance of a GTX 980 but is slightly cheaper & has more features.Pros:Quiet fans - 0dB (silent - fans don't spin until about 50 degrees C - I changed the fan settings though)Cool performance (under 60 degrees whilst gaming)Amazing RGB LEDs (software works perfectly and is easy to setup/use)Amazing overclocks (went from the default to about 1930Mhz with no issues)Comes with a nice backplateLoads of cool features2 HDMI ports, 2 Display Ports, 1 DVI port (this is a good selection of cables - 2 HDMI ports are good for VR)Honest price (one of the most expensive GTX 1060s but is well worth the extra cost & is much faster in terms of performance)Has onboard FanConnect headersCons:Very long (this will not fit in small cases)No SLI support (cannot have more than one of this card working together)Summary:As you can see from the Pros vs Cons that this card is a great value, effecient, cool, powerful GPU with lots of features that are not available on other models. I personally prefer ASUS to most PC Manufacturers because of it's superior build quality, feature set & overall product quality & this is why I highly recommend this card. Pair this beast of a card up with an ASUS Mobo & you're good to go!

Easy install if you remove the old software and your current driver from device manager beforehand. The default NVIDIA setting for colours are a bit washed out so I went into the Change Resolution section and changed the 'Output dynamic range' to Full and the Brightness and Contrast to 45%, also set it to Full in the advanced section of the 'Video colour settings'. Looks great now with nice dark blacks and a better colour range. Works very well in less demanding titles like the indie games or ones that are a few years old, runs very quiet even during gaming. You can get an RX 570 or GTX 1060 3GB for about the same price atm, but I would need a new PSU and could not even find an adapter for my proprietary mobo power sockets,so opted for the GTX 1050 Ti. Tried an ASRock RX560 at first but it stuttered on all games and video and I found the AMD software a bit 'glitchy' to use i.e. not responding when first opened to Gaming section and found the update always told me I needed to update to the same version of Crimson. Also when I did update it corrupted the software and I had to install it from the new download file.Considering the GTX 1660 6GB is about twice as powerful and can be bought for around £200 then £150 for the 1050 Ti seems a bit much. But if you have limited power (in my case just 200W) then the 1050 Ti is a good option, but now the GTX 1650 is a better 75W PCIe only card and costs about the same price atm.Update 16.05.2020Having done more research it seems I could have gone for the RX570 (120W) or the 1060 (120W) I mentioned. A 200W PSU will be ok with these cards in my OEM system. A system like mine would draw about 185W from the wall with a GTX 1060, so at the PSU after its 20% loss in efficiency it would be about 150W. Just to be sure the GTX 1650 Super (100W) would be a great buy atm. Of course you would need a 6 pin connector from the PSU, my PC has a socket on the MOBO for this purpose.

I was very wary about purchasing this as it does cost a little more than the rest, but I am definitely glad that the Asus Strix 1070 O8G was the product I purchased.I've had no issues with this card and it's a massive upgrade from a r9 270x. As the room I currently use to PC in is very hot even with the windows open & fans blowing on my, the room is like an oven. I had to choose a card with a good cooling solution. Which is why I'm glad I've went with this product.First of all, most of the time the cards fans don't even spin, it doesn't need to. Meaning my PC is always silent, the heatsync in this thing is incredible.Keeping cool teams and not peaking 65 degrees under load playing demanding titles with framerate limits uncapped (makes the card work harder). As of right now, I haven't found a game this card can't handle. Weirdly enough, when I first launch games it recommends a 4K display, although I only have a 1080p monitor so that in itself shows the power of this card, I couldn't be any more happier with the performance. The RGB lighting is just incredible, previously I had no lighting in my case before I purchased this card, and just putting this in by itself with no other lighting is a satisfying sight. The LEDs are bright, but not too bright for it to be a pain. The software to control the light are very easy, and the option to callibrate your lighting settings based on your cards temps which i find very useful. (E.G green lights = cool, yellow = mid temps, red = hot temps). To anyone else buying, remember to download drivers manually from Nvidia and ASUS websites, if you're upgrading from an AMD GPU like I was, use "DDU" (Display Driver Uninstaller) to remove your AMD drivers and shutdown, install card and be off with it :)By far my best purchase this year so far.

This card is excellent for 1080p gaming. Even on older hardware (x4 Phenom ii 3.7ghz, 16gb corsair 1333mhz DDR3) this card was blazing through the games, Can handle 4k gaming but to be honest it gets a little choppier on this older hardware at full ultra settings for some games, so if you want this one to really shine you need to stick it in a brand new build with DDR4 and an i7. Then you can break out the VR Headset and it will perform quite nicely too. Got great framerate on the Oculus so thats a plus. It totally benefits from Direct X 12 , so sorry Windows 7 users (like me) this is really built for newer builds of WIndows,so if you're not a fan but crave the latest in shading tech then you will need to make a leap to a clean build to get the most out of it.If you decide to stick with Windows 7 you'll still have a great card, using cutting edge Direct x 11 tech and blistering through titles such as Battlefront and Battlefront II with ease, and giving high framerates even under stress in multiplayer. When played on a 65 inch 4k TV you can get a lot of screen tearing if you don't apply Vsync, so really if you want a smooth experience in the living room then stick on Vsync and you'll be happy.Handles video with ease, 4k runs great but even on a 65 inch TV, it was hard to see any icons or read any filenames. So only switch to 4k for movies or games that run perfectly, Otherwise stick to 1080p. It looks just great on a 4k tv, without any of the usual fuzziness that comes from running at a resolution not native to the screen. If you want to run 4k on the highest of settings on games then you'll need to go for something else, as this card will struggle now and again when things get hectic. But for 1080p you cannot go wrong. Buy with confidence.

Nvidia's Pride and glory when it comes to 1080p gaming. For ANYONE building a budget 1080p gaming computer, you don't need to go further than the 1060.It's cheap, cool, efficient and won't let you down in performance.I've included pictures of what this looks like compared to my old R9 6970 which was the top dog 1080p card back about 5 years ago. there's about 4 generations of GPUs between these and the 1060 has about 4x the amount of gaming performance while drawing about 1/4 of the power. For performance numbers, there are several reviews out there so go and pick your favourite for numbers but trust me, if you want 1080p,this card will play pretty much anything on maximum settings.Don't cheap out on the 3gb models as games are starting to utilise up to 3.5-4gb in extreme cases. If you're considering the GTX 1060 vs RX480/580 there are some things to note:* The 480/580 8GB WILL outperform the 1060 6gb by a very small margin. This is tied only to some games (Again, go look at benchmarks in detailed reviews).1060 is cooler (less power = less heat)1060 is more power efficient (about 120v vs 150w(480)/180w(580), but this is not really a problem even with a cheapo 450w power supply)480 is in VERY short supply given that it's now previous gen and any small stock is being eaten up by crypto miners.580 is also in very short supply (usually on 2-3 week backorders) again, due to crypto miners. The 1060 is excellent for tiny builds if you choose an iTX version. The 580s are huge due to their cooling requirements. The iTX versions overheat. Can push 1440p gaming on all 3 GPUs if you turn down settings a small bit.Hope that helps you make your decision.

Unpackaging was quite a treat, as someone who always bought EVGA I am quite taken by the packaging by Asus. It is very secure with thick foam surrounding it. Padding on the top is then secured with a large box that stores the paperwork, disks and 4 velcro ties that look great by the way. The info booklet could do with some work though, when I checked the power cable needed the diagram is incredibly small and hard to actually see. A real shame there is no Asus stickers, badges or decals to play with :( I like to represent and... well EVGA gives you a metal badge that looks sexy and stuff.Taking it out first I was amazed at how big it is (giggidy). In fact my CM Storm Stryker XL-ATX case only had 2mm spare to get it through the window if horizontal. I love the look of it overall, the heatsink is a beast and the fans are surprisingly quiet! A nice lil thing is when you plug the power cable to the GPU and then give some juice to the PSU it has a tiny white light by the GPUs power socket. Just a nice way to see if it is getting power, very handy. Talking of lights I love the RGB lighting, finally I have a GPU with lighting! My husband is quite jealous as his 1070 has no lights :P MSI peasant lol!Installing drivers was a breeze with windows 10. I did not use the disc as I prefer to get the latest straight from nvidia experience. It was up and running in under 5min after downloads/instal.I am finding it a breath of fresh air in my games, I play quite a few that are unoptimised but the GPU is handling very well! Under 95% load it is at 59C, fans at 39%Looks like between my screens and GPU, I may be an Asus gal lol!

GTX 1080 Asus Strix Advanced Edition Review -Card is paired with an i7 6700 @ 3.2 GHz and 16GB of DDR4 Ram4 stars but 5 star performance. The factory overclock is a nice touch to maintain those 60fps ultra detail at 1440p on games such as -Hitman 2016Witcher 3The DivisionGhost Recon wildlands (on High detail not Ultra)Mortal Kombat XInjustice 2Skyrim SEFallout 4 (some dips in emanding areas due to slight bad optimisation) but certain mods can fix it.Battlefield 1Batman Arkham KnightMiddle Earth Shadow Of WarI replaced my MSI GTX 1080 with this card due to really bad coil whine.Slight Coil Whine when running demanding games such as Witcher 3 and Hitman.Cant hear it when using headphones but i got rid of my last card for coil whine but im just gonna stick it this time ans hope the whine goes away after some use of the card.Aura Sync is a really nice feature to finalise that RGB look for your case etc. Syncs all your Asus devices' lighting.Card was lighter than i thought but still the biggest card ive owned so makesure to check dimensions to see if it will fit inside your case.Card takes a 6pin pcie connector and an 8 pin (6+2) pcie connector.I use a corsair 650W Semi Modular PSU with this card but you can run it on a 500W PSU eith an i7 for example and youll have no issues there as i have done it to confirm that.Wish the card came with some stickers. Im a sucker for stickers lol.Hope this review helped in some way!If youre interested in 4K gaming, i would suggest a 1080ti but look up benchmarks on youtube before any GPU purchasing.

Now this review is going to be centered around my rig being an i5 4670, 8gb ram. The 1070 was the perfect card for the perfect price I wanted to buy. Now this card has to be perfectly honest outperformed my expectations. If you are looked for full HD 1080p gaming then go full steam ahead. I am running 2 27" moniters. I literally added it to my rig and I was away just like that. At first i thought the size might be a problem but my mid atx was fine. Ive never had it run above 70, maxing out on games like battlefield 1. Now the only problem that has occured and take not people with a cpu of my level and lower that for certain points in games and when trying to max out a certain game that requires intense cput usage, this cpu is a bottleneck. There is no way around it sadly. For example some of you may have played the dawn of war games or the total war games which is a perfect example. (Mainly for people who dont necceserily know how a bottleneck effects you). Its all well and good you have ultra textures and it looking great but when you start getting intense scenes and you have 1000 troops all fighting each other with big explosions and lots of movment this is when your cpu will start to bottleneck and therefore your fps will drop. A bottleneck is when your cpu is using its maximum power so limits the overall performance to what your cpu can handle and your gpu may be being held back because of this. Hope this helped but the 1070 is great visually :) Very happy customer.

If you're thinking of getting a GTX 1080 or 1080Ti card, don't. Get 2 of these and run in SLI.They are incredible.Hardly any fan noise when running, which they do infrequently, and these cards, coupled with an M.2 drive for the OS, 2 SSDs in striped RAID, 64GB of memory and an AMD 1800X process means the benchmarking scores on several different models come out in the top 3% of all other tests. The other nice touch is the LEDs, which I've set to blue to match the build, but can be set to just about any colour or theme. Under load they only get to around 68 degrees; as mentioned the fans hardly ever move and are quiet when they did only hitting around 25-35% speed to cool them down.Although when you do force the fans to 100%, the cooling drops about a degree every 15 seconds or so, but they sound like a formula One car going past - but this I would have expected! On Hitman, for example, seeing over 200fps (222fps at one point) - which means my 60Hz monitor may soon need upgrading to make best use of it; smooth! The "Paris party" scene with about 200 NPCs doesn't flinch at all; smooth on the way into the party, smooth with 200 NPCs around you.My one complaint, I had to wait a week longer than expected - they said dispatched, then got lost somewhere in France so had to wait for them to be restocked - not the cards fault but Amazon's; which they resolved as best they could. (1 less star for this in any other case).

Replaced an Asus Strix GTX970. Very happy with this card. Well made. Solid feel with backplate. No interest in Aura so cant comment on that. Its a bigger jump from the 970 to the 1070 than it was from the 770 to the 970.Running a 4790k with all things being equal these are my Firestrike scores:770 7108970 9966 ( no cpu or gpu overclocking )970 11303 ( cpu and max stable gpu overclock )1070 15171 ( no cpu or gpu overclock and with monitoring software running )Its also quieter than the 970, at 1080p the fans aren't even kicking in during some gaming. Played some 7dtd last night and it averaged 53 degree's with the fans only spinning up occasionally according to gpuz and 7dtd isn't particularlywell optimised as its still in alpha.I'm figuring on getting about £150 for a second hand 970 so this card is costing me an additional £290. We would all be happier if they were cheaper but they are not so you have to pay up or go without. I like Asus, I trust their products and so far they haven't let me down. The only negative for some might be that this has the Micron memory but I don't see why, since when were Micron a bad company?Overall a great card, it wont change your life but if you are the kind of person who knows his previous Firestrike scores and really cant justify a 1080 then go on treat yourself - its only money.

Paid about £240 for this tasty piece of hardware, and I can't say I'm disappointed at all. Then again, since I was upgrading from an ancient GT 630 I don't think there really could have been much room for disappointment in the first place. The card runs wonderfully, with next to no noise from it's fans whatsoever, although it may be being muffled by the five other fans in my PC as I haven't checked that. Graphics have gone from a blurry mish-mash of pixels to crisp and clean textures, with an significant boost to rendering performance. While it does run at significantly high temperatures, it doesn't get anywhere close to dangerously damaging heat levels for itself. The one major downside, which keeps me from giving this nice piece of kit a full five stars, is the sheer size and design of the thing. It's one great big hunk of obtrusive plastic-coated circuitry, and when I say big, I do mean big. This struggled to fit into a large Midi-sized case (A Cougar MX310, to be precise), so I wouldn't like to imagine how it'd fit in anything smaller.Overall, it's a very nice piece of kit for the price, if you can fit it into your PC in the first place. Might want to look for something smaller if your case's real estate is a tad on the small side.
