I wrote a good review of this product and have not changed my mind. It is an excellent product. However, I did not check my facts before writing my review and was rightly corrected by more knowledgeable commentators. Here is my original review but please bear in mind that I was incorrect concerning energy consumption and remain grateful to more knowledgeable people (people who checked the facts) for correcting my errors:"Some reviewers have advised getting more powerful graphics cards than the superb GTX750Ti. That is all grandy and dandy but to the additional cost of getting say a GTX660, consider too the relative power consumption. Remember, the GTX750Ti is an excellent graphics card that consumes only 60 Watts.However, cards such as the GTX970 or GTX600 consume upwards of 450 Watts continuously [edit - power consumption is not 450w continuously, it varies] (500w may be a good approximation for these behemoths in terms of max power consumption). That's half a kilowatt of [edit...max] power consumption...for a few more FPS. If you really want to go for a Darwin award, hook up three GTX970s in SLI mode, add your motherboard and peripherals, and you would burn through the best part of two kilowatts continuously with GTX970s. Unless you have a hydroelectric facility in your back garden, the difference between 60w and 500w should be considered non-trivial. If you use your computer as much as I do, your electricity bill could double and possibly even treble if you go for a GTX970 or GTX660. You would have to be mad to treble your electricity bill for a few more FPS. Half a kilowatt is ludicrous power consumption. IN other words, you can of course buy a Rolls Royce graphics card such as a GTX600 or GTX970, but energy costs may be prohibitive. Unless you want the sort of electricity bills that give Bitcoin miners palpitations every month, get a GTX750Ti. They only consume 60watts and they are amazing cards. The most powerful energy efficient cards out there at the moment for the price. After weeks of research, they represent the best value for money (as of August 2015).

Ordered this card to upgrade the integrated graphics in a SFF Acer. The acer already had 512MB of dedicated AMD Radeon graphics on board, but I needed more graphics memory - and 2GB DDR3 does the job nicely.The card arrived with a full profile bracket already fitted, and 2 low profile brackets in the box. The paper instructions don't explain how to swap them over but it's easy to work out. One issue in my Acer is there is only 1 low profile PCI-E slot free, so I have installed the card with only the HDMI and DVI ports available. I may be able to hack the case to install the D-Sub, but in all honesty i'm unlikely to use it.The 15-pin D-sub is attached to the card and second LP bracket by a short ribbon cable.Plugged in to the new HDMI socket and booted the computer to Windows 10. Immediately it uses the MS basic display adapter, but after a short time the display adapter is showing as Nvidia. Just as well really as the autorun on the bundled CD wouldn't start due to the driver being digitally unsigned! You can navigate the CD folders and manually start setup but by the time I got to that bit, Windows had already installed a later version of the Nvidia driver. Also on the CD are a couple of Msi tools like afterburner. I may try them out later.Size wise, the card is single thickness. Some passive cards have MASSIVE heatsinks effectively making them a double card. The low profile and single thickness is why I went for this particular card.No benchmarks, and whilst games *seem* smoother it could just be a placebo effect!

A basic level, good value, low profile graphics card that's not going to be up to the standards of serious gamers, but one that has Windows 10 support and drivers and will do a great job for the average user.It's a small card, fitting a single slot in PCs with limited space as it has no huge heat-sink fans etc. The D-Sub output can be removed and a replacement ultra low profile bracket can be added to fit slimline PCs, leaving the HDMI and DVI outputs showing. Nicely, the card is supplied with 2 smaller brackets so no need for any additional purchases.Installation is simple (assuming you are OK opening up a PC) and it the card fits standard PCI-E slots and has no need of additional power cable connections.On re-booting the PC, the card is detected as a standard Windows graphics card and works perfectly (although you will need to reset screen definition settings etc) but auto-detect for me did not pick up the NVIDIA GT 710 signature. Using the Driver CD supplied in the box sorted that issue. The driver installation from the CD was fine (although you need to be careful to de-select the extra toolbars, anti-virus software and other stuff that it wants to add as default) although it appears to get "stuck" on 99% complete for what seems like ages and drivers don't install if you assume it's hung up and you quit too soon.Overall: a recommended value card for slimline PCs in particular, not massively powerful by today's standards, but great for the average user and up to date enough to be Windows 10 supported.

I'll write a few comments that may benefit people who encounter similar issues to what I experienced when installing this product.Firstly, it comes set-up for a large PC and not a small form body. Therefore, very logically, to set-up for a small factor PC you just unscrew the connections and connect them to the two brackets that are included which then have to go into two expansion slot outlets.I'm assuming the issue I encountered next may be related to the fact that my PC was bought as a refurbished one (HP ProDesk). I haven't gone into the BIOS settings to alter anything there.I followed the instructions which stated that you install the graphics card, swap the connection over and restart the PC.I was left with a completely blank screen. I'll keep it brief. To overcome this problem install the graphics card but don't swap the monitor cable over, download the drivers and software for the graphics card and then (via Control Panel, Device Manager, Display Adaptors) disable the on-board graphics adaptor. Swap the monitor cable over and everything is perfect.Personally, I didn't buy this for gaming but as a last resource (I tried everything suggested on the internet) to cure an issue of the screen frequently blacking out for a couple of seconds or so whilst using the PC (spreadsheets or internet etc all experienced issues). Thankfully I'm glad to say that it has completely cured the issue and everything is working brilliantly now and the graphics are excellent.

Update: I originally wanted to give this GPU a 3 star rating because it didn't work at all for most games I tried. I realize that it's my fault though; I shouldn't have expected the bare minimum GPU required to run complex games. I think a 4 star is more appropriate, given that it is a good low end GPU for those who aren't interested in doing anything particularly graphics heavy.I built a new computer a few months ago and purchased this card for some mild gaming. The following are the pros and cons as I see them:Pros:1) Quiet - I couldn't hear the GPU at all.2) Compact - It is really small and doesn't take up much space at all.3) Installation - It is very easy to install, relative to the more massive GPU's.4)Price - For a low end GPU, the price isn't bad.Cons:1) Performance - This is the main problem I have with the GPU. While I understand that 1GB isn't much for gaming, it should at least handle less complex games that are a decade old. When I tried playing games with this GPU, my frame rate would often be about 7fps on the lowest possible settings! This would often lead to crashing.Overall this GPU is good if you just need a simple card to run your computer and perhaps watch youtube videos. I would definitely not recommend it to anyone who would like to use it for gaming.

Bought this to install in an old-ish Core2Duo HP SFF machine. Running Debian Linux 9, OctoPrint (3D print server) and Simplify3D, the onboard graphics were no good, too slow - in particular for rendering visualisations of the sliced model prior to printing. Also, under Xorg, the Intel driver crashed (and hung the machine solid, not good when it's driving a 3D printer!!) whenever I tried to move the camera in Simplify3D's visualisation/preview, and could only be resolved by disabling 3D acceleration, which made it even slower!So I needed a cheap-ish modern card *with included low-profile brackets* to install in the machine, and this seems to do the job brilliantly. Xorg nouveau (NVidia)driver worked flawlessly with no extra config aside from enabling VSync to eliminate tearing, and Simplify3D's visualisation is now almost as smooth as on my main desktop (i7, AMD RX570).Noiseless with low power consumption, and with plenty of display output options (HDMI, DVI, VGA), this card certainly has a place in the market for applications such as this. I wouldn't like to play games with it, but it performs 3D desktop rendering quite adequately.

Not normally into reviewing but after weeks of trying to identify a low profile, low power consumption GPU to upgrade my HP 8300 Elite SFF PC after a dead easy successful installation I felt I should write one.My PC had inbuilt DisplayPort and VGA and I need 2 displays. The VGA was blurry due to analog signal and digital monitor so was looking for a card with low power consumption that would run 2 digital monitors.Saw the MSI GT710 Low profile and was pleasantly surprised to find the TDP measurement (power consumption in watts) was only 19 which is incredibly low. My PC has a 230 w power supply and the PCIe slot has a maximum of 26 w per slot so I was somewhat limited.Most GPUs have a TDP measurement in excess of 50 w.Plugged this card into the black PCIe slot the PC rebooted twice and hey presto 2 crystal clear digital monitors on Windows 10 Pro 64 bit - I couldn’t be happier.I’m not into gaming so can’t advise on performance but if you want a low power consumption graphics upgrade for 2 monitors in a SFF card this is the one for you - under £50 too can’t go wrong.

I am really pleased with the performance of this card. It allows me to play games in higher graphics settings.Here are some results I got using this card.(i3-2120 3.3GHz, 8GB DDR3 1333 MHz, 1TB HDD, Dual monitors each 1366x768)Battlefield 4: Ultra 45FPS, High 55-60FPS, Medium 70 FPSEuro Truck Simulator 2: Max settings 55-60 FPS, 60+ on lower settingsLeft 4 Dead 1 and 2: Max settings 130 FPSCounter-Strike Global Offensive: Max settings 120FPSLeague of Legends: Max settings 220 FPSAs you can see I tested a few games ranging from easy running to graphics intensive. This really is the best low profile graphics card that I've seen. Also a point for those installing it in PCs (slim or normal size)with less than the recommended wattage (400W) it will run just fine, mine is not even 300W and it works perfectly under load.Overall, its a really impressive card for gaming especially if you want to step up from older graphics cards or youre still running integrated graphics.

I was not expecting much of an improvement when this card arrived but I placed into my Rig and WOW I was amazed how well this card preforms for the price also it seems too add an extra cooling due too the twin frozer fans on it, I'm very impressed so far though I have yet too try a next generation games but I so far have tried Saints Row Franchise , Hit-man Franchise, Fallout New Vegas, Assassins creed 1 too 3 and Far cry 3.Most the games run on ultra to high settings at 60 frames, but I had to adjust Far-cry 3 Settings because it didn't like certain settings It was on. but now it runs a consistent 60 frames but on 720p. its amazing for the price and Iam very impressed I would recommend to anyone who is on a budget and wants to build a mid range to top range p.c.Its amazing for the price and there are extra features included in the card like hybrid bios switch and normal. good stuff.

I read the reviews yesterday morning, placed my order with Amazon, the item was delivered this a.m. and I was immediately up and running.Now for the product: I found my old OEM GeForce 405 graphics card was starting to struggle a bit and wouldn't run 4K (pixelated and jerky at best). It seemed worth a shot to see if I could find an upgrade that would make a significant difference. The GTX 750 reviewed well as offering reasonable improvement for not too much money.To install, I shut down my Windows 10 Acer machine, levered out the old GeForce 405 [tip: be sure to depress the catch at the inner end on the slot on the motherboard!] pressed the new card into place and on powering back up the machine came back to life immediately.The accompanying CD has drivers which install and update very quickly. Now runs 4k effortlessly. Very pleased.

For some time my graphics card had proved annoying. Powering up and down often twice a minute. I was advised to go for a fanless graphics card which I did. I was pleased with the easy installation though was initially confused by the plastic protection sheath that it is shipped with. Its been a while since I put a card in may machine and the protective covering seems to be a recent innovation. After installation when the machine booted up [I'm running windows 10] it immediately installed a suitable generic driver. I did subsequently download from NVidia their recommended driver. I am not a games player but do some work in Photoshop.Before ordering I was concerned that a lower spec card might impact on my productivity but this has not proved to be the case. Thus far no problems and I am enjoying a much quieter working environment.

Decided I needed to brush up my Mac skills but didn't have the cash to drop on a new mac mini, alas.Fortunately had a Dell 9010 handy, discovered that this machine has good mac compatibility, set about installing Mac OS on it - all went relatively smoothly but the graphics didn't get along with any of the cards I had to hand.Didn't much fancy replacing the processor (which would have also solved the problem apparently) but read one of these would do the trick - and so it proved - working fine in Mac OS Sierra (haven't tried anything newer as yet...)Using with two 29" ultra wide monitors, the Dual Link DVI and HDMI connector will happily run both at better than HD resolution (2540x1080 60hz)- unfortunately the HDMI is not 2.0 so will presumably only do 4k at up to 30hz, so less than ideal if you want for an HTPC.

I bought this MSI NVidia GeForce GT710 PCI-E graphics card with 2Gb specifically to run the Fortnite game on an old Dell Vostro 230 desktop computer that has an outdated Pentium dual core CPU model E6500 running at 2.93Ghz, 4Gb Ram and Intel G41 chipset onboard graphics.I followed the NVidia instructions and installed all the required NVidia software. This resulted in a machine that barely functioned and in the Windows 10 Task Manager I could see CPU, Memory and Disk utilization all maxing out. So then in Windows 'Add or remove programs' I uninstalled the NVidia Experience Software, but leaving the NVidia drivers installed.This has corrected the problem and my minimal setup can now run Fortnitesuccessfully.

Pleased with this graphics card.One thing I'm not pleased about is that I spent £5 on some low-profile/half-height brackets so i could fit this card into my mini tower pc. Yet i didnt need them because this graphics card came with both full height and half height brackets, yet nowhere in the product description does it state that it comes with both types of brackets. So I wasted my money.My pc has an Intel i3-550 processor, adding this graphics card has improved graphics performance, for example i can now run the game Starcraft 2 on medium graphics setting, before it struggled on the low setting. ( My monitor resolution is 1920x1200 ).
