A great card for a home theatre PC and media playback in general. Totally silent. It has on-board video decode hardware to offload that task from the main CPU. and it does a great job too. The best quality I have seen yet. Better video decode quality than the ATI 5450 card in my other PC.The card also outputs HDMI Deep Colour. I looked at the input info of my Denon home cinema amp and the card is outputting 36 bits per pixel, instead of the usual 24. And I think I can tell the difference too. Colour gradients are smoother. Moving images are that little bit more realistic.The card allows audio to be output to a home cinema amp via the HDMI connection without having to have a SPDIF cable physically connect the card to the motherboard.
