I got this as a second GPU for a third screen. If you run 3 screens on a single card the GPU clocks up and the fans turn on, so I needed a second card to keep work-time silent. I've tried a few games and they perform about how you'd expect. You can play a game, but don't expect max graphics or the like. It's certainly serviceable for casual gaming, or as an emergency card if your main is broken.Temps even during a heatwave were reasonable on the Windows desktop, despite being next to a 1080ti. Peak was around 55c,One word of warning, however. Standard DPI screens run fine on the secondary graphics card, High-DPI (4k) do not always work so well. Normal desktop use is fine. However,hardware-accelerated browsers can be laggy. I've tested this with high-end GPUs, as well as low-end and it seems to be a Windows thing. If you make onboard graphics primary, it'll work great with 4K. Put a high-end GeForce as the 'secondary' adapter and you'll get a small lag in Chrome @ 4K. A workaround is to turn off smooth scrolling, but there's still a small degree of lag. For me, I make sure the high-res displays are all on my primary GPU and have my 1080p screen(s) on this 1030. It seems to be related to power-saving tech. The secondary GPU seems to clock-down and stay clocked-down very aggressively. It takes a lot more time for the clocks to go up. This is a shame since the 1030 is so low power (and passive!!!) that it could run at gaming clocks all the time.

When buying this GPU, especially for gaming, i recommend you look at how well this will perform for games you wish to play and at what quality, if you want to play the latest AAA games at 60 fps, DO NOT BUY the gt 1030, buy the GTX 1050 ti instead, if you want to play games released about 3 years ago and at okay settings or even indie and Esports titles this GPU is perfectThe GPU takes up a measly 35w so if you're planning on doing what i did which is to install it into a old office computer to make a okay gaming rig than this is perfect,Installation was a pain as when installing the low profile bracket you must first unscrew 2 screws for the heat sink as one of the screws is located underneath, besides that it's like any other gpu and you plig it into your PCIe slot and you're good to goThe actual card is virtually silent, just as advertised you will not hear any noise and it remains cool even when gamingThe price may be a bit on the expensive side but the GT 1030 definatly has it's uses.

This works well enough for me in my 10+ year old computer, this MSI version does have the GDDR5 memory type which is good and separates it from the Nerfed version by some other manufacturers so check for that. It is occupying my PCIe x16 slot but only shows up as x4 in the interface. I thought that I had put it in the wrong slot but after some research I found that the card itself is only wired at x4 so many of the connectors are unused. I have heard that some are wired as x16 but I don't know which ones or whether they would also be the Nerfed version. This is not very clear in descriptions I have read, the card is a temporary solution for me but it would have bothered me a lot more if I was planning to use the card long-term.

Having recently bought a Small Form Factor PC, I needed to get a Graphics card that would fit within it. The Specific motherboard I had in a Dell 9010 SFF case only had room for a single slot Graphics card .... maybe a 1.5, but definitely nothing bigger. This graphics card, from the research I did, was the best available in a single slot under €100. Received a few days early and after changing the plate to the small form factor (which it came with) I simply plugged it ion and started it up. No drivers came with the card, but instructions were clear to get them from Manufacturers site. I have to say, I'm happy with the performance of the card and service from supplier.

This is a low profile graphics card have normal bracket installed (?) and two screws securing it to the PCB. One screw is placed under the heat sink, you cannot access with a screwdriver. To install the low profile bracket you have to unscrew two heat sink screws (the two closest to the bracket, do not touch the other two as one is tampered) and you can push the heat sink gently to left and voila the screw is accessible. Such a stupid design. The graphics card is perfect, max. 80 Celsius in a smaller SFF case (Only one 8 cm fan blow the air in) under heavy gaming. Great silent card for casual / online (MMO) gamer.

Although this is a little expensive for a relatively low performance card, it is an excellent HTPC video card. The Pascal architecture includes Nvidia's PureVideo 8 which means it has all the features required for a modern HTPC; 4K, 8K, HEVC, HDR, DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0b and HDCP 2.2. The low profile, passively cooled design is completely silent and runs with a TDP of just 30W. The capacitors are rated to last for 10 years at full load and so promise great longevity. The card come complete with both a full height and low profile bracket for compatibility with both form factors.

Not the fastest and probably no good for modern gaming, but its probably the highest spec passive (and low profile) card available today, faster than the passive GT710 (albeit twice the height); faster and easily 15c cooler than the passive GT610 and about the same size. Great for 3D printing CAD and playing 1080p h265 videos that the 610 struggled with.Card arrived looking a bit bent, but seems to work ok, maybe its just bending under the weight of the heatsink.£68 seems about right for this card, I wouldn't pay any more for it though.

Needed to upgrade my GT630 for the HTPC as it wasn't capable of 4k resolution. The card itself looks nothing like the picture and like others I got caught out. The one you'll actually get has a small fan...you won't hear it if you're using it in your HPTC build so don't let it put you off. Once installed and if you have windows 10 and a HDR compataible TV you'll get an HDR option in the Display Settings. You'll need something more powerful if you want to use the MadVR filter at higher settings.

An entry level Graphic card with decent quality. It is a good way to add an HD port to your old PC. Also, if you are a gamer, then you can play old title games on this card. The card doesn't require power supply as it takes power through the PCI slot. I had problem installing the driver from the MSI website. So when you installing the card, get the driver from Nvidia website and allow automatic update. If you are a hard fan gamer then I recommend going for the GTX family of Graphic cards.

I can confirm this card fits perfectly in a Dell 7010 SFF. You need to swap bracket for the low profile version and to do this you need to remove 3 of the 4 heat sink screws, leave the one with the warranty sticker and just swing the heatsink to the left to gain access to the obstructed bracket screw. No issues with power and fits with out fouling any cables or sockets. Be aware the 1030 range doesn't support NVENC which means there is no hardware acceleration for video encoding.

A decent card for anyone looking to upgrade from an onboard intel chipset. It doubles the performance of the Skylake 530 and will improve your desktop computing experience. Images scroll noticeably smoother in software such as iTunes and Edge / Internet Explorer. I recently purchased a 4k monitor and as 2160p can only render at 60 Hz over HDMI 2.0b or Display Port it was a necessary upgrade for myself.

Silent and fits a small case really well. Does have Gsync - can run 1440p 120hz on a 240W power supply no problem . No instructions on how to fit low profile bracket - you have to unscrew three screws from the heat sink (not the one with the sticker) and move heat sink a tiny bit to access screw. It’s easy when you know how to do it. Not used for gaming but good for high refresh gsync on a budget.

Let me say straight off I'm not a gamer. I can't comment on how well this card runs games. What I can say is that it works well connecting my PC to my 4k televison for general use. It was easy to install and it has the all important HDMI 2.0 port which allows 4k at 60hz. The fact that it is silent in use and doesn't need any extra power cables has made it perfect to fit in my media pc.

Can't find fault with this, it's driving my 4k monitor @ 60hz via Displayport 1.2 and has giving a new lease of life to a 5-year-old Dell, which is exactly the reason it was purchased. The cheapest way to go 4k at the time of writing, (for non-gamers).I can confirm that the card I received does not have any sort of fan, contrary to some other reviews.

Bought to use in a htpc but the installation of the half-height backplate is not simple. It requires unscrewing 2 of the 4 screws (The two closest to the bracket. The screw with a Void sticker on it can be left alone) in the heat sink to move it out of the way of the screw. Thanks to another review for the details. Plays videos at 4k fine.
