So I got this card in late November and it was really good, games at 1440p Ultra were running 60fps no problem - (Shadow of the Tomb Raider, RDR2 High settings, Plague Tale High/Ultra, GTA 5 High/Ultra, Hitman Ultra 4K 55fps, Yakuza 0 4K Ultra 60fps & Forza Horizon 4 4K Ultra 60fps) - just to give an example of a few titles and resolutions. Ray Tracing was kind of cool but it was far too taxing on frames especially at 1440p High/Ultra settings resulting in 45fps tops, even Quake 2 RTX on high settings with high Ray tracing gave me 45fps which wasn't impressive. If you want a 1080p card that can do decent Ray Tracing at high quality settings, I'd recommend this 2060Super,anything higher like 1440p and high Ray Tracing I'd look at getting a 2070Super or 2080. For me personally, Ray Tracing isn't really that good of a feature especially not for the performance tank.Sadly though, I think I got a faulty card because after a while my Display Port would randomly drop display and lose connection so I'd have to hard restart my PC even with all of the drivers up to date (I'd get an Nvlddmkm driver Error in Event Viewer and it tells me it was recovered which it wasn't hence the hard restart), I then DDU'd all of my display drivers rechecked my power connectors - which were all fine - and reseated the card and tried again on just the base graphics driver installed by Windows. Two weeks without a single hitch, playing hours of games and the full story of Plague Tale, I got two video drop out errors in half an hour which had literally no reason to drop out other than something hardware related. So I've given my review 4 Stars, the card is great, I just got a bad one I suppose. In the process of returning the card for a refund so all isn't lost. I haven't had a faulty product in my 5 years of PC Gaming until this one so it's not a bad track record and my previous 980Ti had no issues working in the same system.

Firstly, I must state, the card is POWERFUL and will run games at full 1080p 144FPS so, in regards to overall gaming performance, its a beast. 4 Stars in this regard. However, the downside to this is that the GPU runs extremely hot (I swapped from a GTX970 which had a max temp under full load of 72 degrees) whereas this GPU on its first outing (COD Warzone on High Settings) ran at 144FPS but with a temp of 82 Degrees.I have messed about with Gigabytes Aorus Engine (download for free) to Undervolt and set up a Custom Fan Curve which has seemed to help as it ran at 74 degrees under load but it's just something to be mindful of. The sound of the Fans is also pretty loud when under load which,as a headphone user when gaming, isn't a massive distraction but definitely noticeable.I should point out that Gigabyte has released two revisions of this GPU. This GPU is REV 1.0/1.1 (GV-N206SWF2OC-8GD) and they also have a REV 2.0 (please see manufacturers website for more information) which has apparently sorted the overheating and fan issues with this GPU. Unfortunately, I did not know this information until after I purchased the GPU but, for others who haven't made the purchase yet, be mindful of this.In the meantime, I have also purchased some extra Intake Fans for the front of my Case to hopefully help with the circulation of the hot air inside the case so as not to damage my components.I am going to keep this GPU for now but if it continues to reach such high temperatures, I am afraid I will have to return it and look at other GPU's as I simply don't have a Case that can withstand constant high heats whereas others with better cooled cases won't have much issue.

I bought this card having spent hours looking at various models of this card, the 5700, 5700XT and cheaper Nvidia models like the 2060 KO and vanilla 2060. I put it in my new custom PC with a Ryzen 5 3600, Patriot Steel Viper 16GB DDR 4 clocked at 3600, an MSI B450 Tomahawk Max and this card destroys everything at 1080p and 1440p ultra settings. I was even playing Wolfenstein Youngblood with DLSS enabled and getting over 100 FPS at 4K. Obviously without DLSS you will need to lower settings at 4K but I had Metro Exodus at a mix of low/medium running 60FPS at 4K and looking really good. At 1080p or 1440p you will smash 100FPS in everything out there currently do a great card to support 144hzmonitors with Freesync/Gsync.I was slightly worried with this being one of the cheaper 2060 supers but I have had this for 3 months now and I love it. At stock mine does not run hot at all. I have tried MSI Afterburner and there was some headroom but the card does then get pretty hot. However, there is no need to overclock this card as it provides outstanding performance at its target resolutions. I haven't found it too noisy but I game with headphones and can't hear any fan noise. Same applies when gaming through the speakers. There is some fan noise in a quiet room but I can't tell whether that comes from my stock Amd cooler or not. I am going to change that out so I will let people know if that made a difference.Overall this card is amazing. Yes it has no RGB but I hate Rgb so fine with me. The backplate is plastic but I am only interested in performance and at under £350 this card is incredible value and smashed out the FPS in all modern games.

Card runs really well as expected, Nvidia boost feature keeps it at 1920mhz typically whilst gaming, temps aren't amazing but after ensuring proper airflow to my case doesn't exceed 73°C so can't complain.Only shame is build quality, I mean it functions fine, but at particular fan speeds it made a slight rattling noise where the fan mounting isn't flush with the heatsink and vibrates at certain speeds, easily fixed by wedging something in there but considering this has been reported with previous gen Windforce cards too, it's a shame the design flaw hasn't been addressed.I'e just jumped from team red to green and compared to AMDs equivalent spec cards it is slightly worse value from a £ to Frame standpoint, but well makes up for it with an incredibly quiet card (after rattle is fixed).

I've been away from pc gaming for a while and when i decided to build a new rig i did a lot of research mostly because of budget. This card has met and exceeded my expectations. It is powerful enough to handle the aaa titles that are out now and for the foreseeable future. Although i haven't tried the vr functions, everything else is flawless. It's super quiet under normal conditions and not much louder when "gaming mode" is activated. The twin frozr keeps this thing cool and working with no issues.Straight out of the box i get between 80 and 100 fps on 90% of the games that i play even running two monitors at the same time. Even though this thing can be overclocked,i'm saving that for when i find a game that i love and play everyday that won't get me to at least 80 fps.

Absolutely fantastic GPU!! If you’re looking for a 2080 Super, I can’t recommend this highly enough. Take BFV for example, 120 FPS, ultra settings, DX11 all at 63 degrees max with hardly any fan noise. Gigabyte have refined the cooling system and it’s flawless. Now, it’s not the best looking card, it’s nice but maybe the EVGA cards are more to my taste. However, when you consider the price £699.99(!), a cooling system that’s had 4 years of refinement and the out of the box OC, I truly think this is the best 2080 Super around. I mean you could pay an extra £100 for the Asus. You might get an extra one or two FPS but there’s no value there.I summary, if you want 1440p at high end FPS and a TI is out of your reach, then look no further than this gem of a card from gigabyte!

So, I bought this on another account.Firstly, I moved from an RX480 to this card, so the jump there is already like hopping from England to the moon. The card itself is just a monster, it's chewed through everything I've thrown at it and still has room for more. The exact model I purchased is the 'RTX 2080 Super Wind force'It runs around 60/70 at full load, and I managed to overclock it a fair amount too! (will post exact overclocking details a little later)Overall, perhaps one of the best purchases for my upgraded PC.My brother has an RTX 2080ti and to be frank, the difference between them is fractional. If you're planning on buying one, I hope you enjoy!

I would like to start this with warning to potential 2080 Super Waterforce purchasers. This is my 2nd 2080 Super Waterforce within 2 days. Amazon dispatched and supplied me a used card that had been returned to them. Once you open the Black box to gain access to the GPU, make sure the Gigabyte seal on the static bag has not been opened previously.2080 Super just about fits inside the Lian Li PC O11 Dynamic on a Phanteks vertical mount, next to the Alphacool D5 VPP755 Pump, considering it doesn't fit horizontally in the Lian Li without clashing with the Glass side panel.Still being leak tested at the moment, but I will update when in use.

So happy with this card. Honestly so fast and getting incredible FPS with ray tracing and dlss enabled.Control - at 1440p 144hz hitting 70-80 FPS it’s insane! This card is a beast and don’t pay attention to others who slate RTX cards. If you’re going to get an RTX 2080 card, get a super - especially this card as the performance is incredible for the price point.Gaming at 1440p 144hz is a breeze with this card on max settings - RTX on + Dlss4K hits amazing FPS too but RTX has a significant hit. But obvious as 4K with real time ray tracing is seriously powerful. This card manages to get stable FPS. Perfect card :)

Seeing all the negative reviews of this card was putting me off but I took a chance. I got a perfect card and after over a week of heavy use its still fine. I don't understand how people wreck their cards in a few weeks because they need to chill with their OC. Also, a custom fan speed is a must, otherwise, the card gets fairly hot and very loud if a custom fan speed is not set. When fans are at max the sound is bearable but you won't notice it when gaming unless you got a bad headset.I have a MID-Tower case and the hottest I've seen this card get was on Resident Evil 2 Remake max settings 79c with my custom curve.

28.11.2019

Very powerful. Good for 1920x1080 on a very large tv with ultra settings and everything on at 60hzRgb software is total garbage. Would love if you could turn the rgb leds on the fans off as they give me a headache flashing soo much. Its not as it appears in the image so if you have epilepsy like me, turn them off! But why cant i have the centre logo on, on its own! If you want the fan leds off all rgb on the card must be off.Card fans only spin up when its needed so in a game they turn on but casual internet browsing has them off so don't be worried, your card is most likely not broken.

I didn't get mine from Amazon but have to leave a review of the product since I am really happy with it, I have read other reviews that say it's too hot and noisy and I have to disagree, maybe you do not have a good cooling system overall and the card is being suffocated??? I am more than happy all of my games run QHD 144hz no issues unless I go silly with the settings and most games don't run Ray Tracing yet anyway and those that do are not greatly optimised for it yet but this card is a complete beast and almost gets near the 2080Ti which is 1200 quid lol.

23.8.2019

This is a very powerful GPU, I can play virtually any game in 4K at near 60fps or more at max settings. It has already been factory boosted over the reference card and does not really need overclocking, I have not tried yet but with the size of the cooling setup on it, I suspect I can squeeze a lot more power out of it. Forget the other reviewer complaining about its performance, I can assure you it is a monster and has no problems.

15.11.2019

Compared to my old GTX1070, this thing is a beast!I was a little concerned with all the stories of coil whine with the RTX2080 series, but I have to say that I haven't had any whine at all, except maybe from my credit card.Absolutely destroys RDR2 at 1440p, almost ultra settings. A solid 65-75FPS. Very happy with that. I nearly went with a Ti model, but glad I didn't spend the extra 400 quid.Highly recommended card.

28.1.2020

It is fast. That’s a fact. Fan start stop is good however temps quite quickly creep up to 60 degrees even on web browsing so the fans will kick in. Will depend on your case airflow. Will give you 144hz 1440p experience when not bottlenecked by CPU. Mine example had quite noticeable coil whine but I guess this is just lottery. Can recommend but if one shop around it is possible to get more premium card for £20-30 more.
