I have been using AMD/ATi for a long while, and always got by with cheap £30 basic cards until I started gaming a few years back.I picked up two 2nd hand Radeons on Ebay which served me well in my machine and hand me downs to my kids gaming PCs. However, when after my last one started failing I decided to look at NVidia.My last HD 7850 was a bargain and turned out to be a pretty powerful card, more than I needed for playing 5 year old games like Skyrim and still respectable with things like Witcher 3 with reduced settings. Then a few weeks back my machine starting locking up and after diagnostics I found out the graphics card was the fault. I was gutted, as I didn't need a new card,

I received the N1050WF2OC-2GD model today after looking around for a graphics card at around the £100 mark. I needed one to replace an ASUS Radeon R7 250X 2GB which died on me last week and in the end after many hours of research, I went for the Windforce 2 OC edition.It took me about an hour to install in my PC and setup the drivers etc, but as soon as I loaded up a game on Steam, I was impressed almost instantly with how much better the graphics looked. Normal framerates were around 30-40FPS at Low Settings, this GFX is getting me 60-120FPS on High Settings.PS: The Windforce version does require a 6-pin power connector. I read beforehand that the basic GTX1050 doesn't require any extra power source,

Picking a new video card, to me, is a nightmare. All the crap on the back of the box really tells you nothing. If money is no problem you can simply buy the dearest at around £800.0 If like me you are on a budget then this is the card to buy. I have had no problems with the 2 GB video ram some games need lots of video ram and some do`nt it seems to have nothing to do with frame rate. I have used the card to run skyrim and fallout new Vegas both run in full screen at good frame rates (my monitor is 24 inch) the only game that did`nt run in full screen is the witcher wild hunt, this ran with a dark border down the sides of my screen but the frame rate was still fine and very playable.

This card is awesome. If you keep your expectations realistic, you will be VERY pleased with it. It is able to hit 60fps in many modern AAA titles if you lower a few settings, whilst maintaining full 1080p HD. I for one bought a 1050 ti for Overwatch, which I was playing at 144fps locked all low settings at 1080p. I originally only had this card temporarily, however with an Overclock it was matching a non-overclocked 1050 ti for performance. I simply turned anti-aliasing off and this card is able to achieve a locked 144fps in Overwatch as well, so I sold my 1050ti as it just wasn't worth the extra £50 I spent on it! Fantastic card, UserBenchmark says mine's performance is in the 100th percentile,

Delivery was quick through Prime next day. In the box was the driver CD and manual. The description says it comes with cables but it doesn't. For me It was easy to install... Id say it took me roughly less than 5 minutes to remove my old one and install this one and I have never done any of that before. Just fit it in the PCI slot and no extra power cables required. Only thing I noticed is that the fans don't spin under regular use until you're doing some heavy gaming, I think, but you could change fan settings using Gigabyte's XTREME Engine Utility. It's working perfectly with my system right now so let's just hope I dont run into any of the problems mentioned on here.

As with most newer more powerful graphics cards this card will take up 2 slots. All install parts and screws etc are included in addtion to some excellent instructions.This uses a reasonable amount of wattage for the performance it offers. It overclocked quote easily using msi afterburner. The fans only kick in when needed. These can be adjusted using the Gigabyte software and the OC software. Overclocked seen an extra 10fps on GTA V.Hope this helps someone :-)

i wanted to replace my gtx 750 1gb mini thought worked well,but the lack of having an extra 1gb wasnt helpingGigabyte Nvidia GTX 1050 GDDR5 2GB, is a great card allthough had some problems to address, getting it to work with blender 3dand working with my lg passive 3d monitor, but all is working fine and low noise .specsgigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 (rev. 6.0)fx4300 cpu12gb ram in 2x corsair 4gb 1600 and to 2gb kingston 1333 ddr3GTX 1050 GDDR5 2GB.

Really pleased with this. Purchased for my father for a computer build, he doesn't play games so only needed something basic.This was one of the very few 1050 graphics cards where the fans aren't on all the time. They are off until load is put on it, which is perfect for him as he doesnt play games.

Purchased to replace a Faulty card on an older machine which my dad uses. Wanted a decent replacement and he plays some games that are old (f1 2013, Grid 2 and project cars). All of then run fine with no issues. Very pleased with it and the size is so much smaller than the older card.

The GTX 1050 works great but if you’re going to want high end graphics this may do the job but I think it would be wise to spend more into something higher than the 1050 as these aren’t too great when gaming on heavy requirements but overall still does provide 60 FPS in many games.

Fantastic starter GPU. I used this in my first gaming PC build on a budget and it’s served me well for over 3 years! Was able to run pretty much any game at a minimum of 60fps. I was sad to let it go as I no longer have this GPU and upgraded to a 1080.

GOOD GRAPHICS CARD TEMPERATURES STAY LOW IN SILENT MODE, SILENT MODE BEST FOR STABILITY AND LIFE OF CARD WHILE STILL HAVING GOOD PERFORMANCE BALANCE. AORUS SOFTWARE USES LITTLE RESOURCES AND GIVES GOOD INFORMATION AND WORKS WELL.

Bought this to speed up my video editing. Didn't make a massive amount of difference for that, but definitely overall faster and certainly for playing any games, makes a big difference on my previous card.

Not thing I can dislike really. It’s a brilliant card for the money especially if you are doing a budget build. I would totally recommend this card to anyone that maybe wanting to build their first PC.

Bought this specifically for Ark Survival as my previous card just couldn't handle it and kept blue-screening. Game runs much better now and no more blue screens. Older games look much better now too.
