I upgraded to the MSI Gaming X GTX 1660ti from my aging GTX 660Ti after many, many years of reliable service. Alas, with modern games, it could no longer cut the mustard at 1080p 60fps in high settings. Looking at Nvidia’s current lineup my eyes naturally gravitated towards the new RTX range, but after looking at benchmarks for 1080p performance, I decided to save myself a few pounds and go for this 1660Ti by MSI. There’s no point in over-purchasing for no reason or benefit, so I thought. This card worked wonders, allowing me to bump back up to ultra settings once more. Unfortunately, whilst looking at all the nicer graphics, I also felt the need to upgrade my monitor. I opted for an MSI 1440p 144hz model, which the 1660ti coped with well, but led to a bottleneck in my system whereby my i5 4690k would sit at 100% CPU solidly during gameplay. Still, it managed to pull an impressive 60-75fps in Destiny 2 with all settings pushed to max. Impressive, regardless. Since I have resolved that problem by rebuilding my system with an i7 9700k, ironically leading to a probable bottleneck by my GPU. On a positive note, I am now able to play Destiny 2 at 1440p with a fps between 85-110. A massive increase which is honestly quite impressive for an entry level card. I have managed to overclock the card by 115ghz using Afterburner which has remained stable. Any higher than this isn’t stable, but your mileage may vary. Cheers, silicone lottery. The RGB on this card is nice and understated, not too distracting to have sat next to you on the desk. MSI’s Mystic Light software isn’t great, but does the job relatively well. I have left it with stock settings as the colour changing mode is quite pleasant. The fans on this card can get quite loud when turned up to max, but due to decent cooling in my system, even with OC, never stray above 65 degrees. Far better than my 660Ti which sounded like a jet engine almost all the time.Overall I would highly recommend this card for 1080p gameplay. It can sit solidly above 100fps in most games and represents an excellent value for money proposition. Would I recommend it for 1440p? Yes and no. Yes if you have a monitor only capable of 60hz and you’re aware that it will become outdated with new releases in a shorter space of time. No if you’re wanting higher frames and want to invest in a card that will last a number of years. I, for one, intend to invest in an RTX 30XX card on release so I can take advantage of higher frames on my gaming monitor.

It's a long story but I ended up replacing a GTX1070 with this GTX1660ti.Nothing special re the packaging and contents. All you get is the card itself.Really you wouldn't notice the difference, so in every respect these are similar to the older 1070 cards. You would only need something more expensive if you are using a monitor that's higher than 1080p or 60Hz.This particular card is surprisingly big and heavy, but of course it's shorter than most but taller. Pay attention to the fact that the card is very close to the back of the case, it's additional height may hit something in your case. There is very little room to spare and certainly the case I wanted to put it in had a bit of an issue with that.It looks well made and certainly does remain cool.I had no trouble keeping it under 60 degrees with a modified fan profile. My only slight complaint is that while it's almost identical performance wise to a 1070, so is the price. That's really disappointing since traditionally a new generation of GPU would have given this level of performance for a lot less money. If you need an upgrade for a less powerful card or to replace a defunct GTX1070 like I did, this is your card.Incidentally, the card seems "stiff" enough that it resists sagging. That's a nice bonus.

Bought this to give my system a little boost, the card is has replaced was my nearly new GTX 1660 none ti edition. Wasn’t expecting a huge jump but I’ve been pleasantly surprised! Texture and detail in games has gone from high/unreal to just ultra. Also haven’t had any screen tearing on rage 2 at all, my last card pretty much did this in high traffic areas. I was also worried about the dual fans on this but noise is next to nothing. Overall very happy with this card, but wouldn’t expect anything less from a MSI branded card!

Msi 1660ti gaming xAfter quite a bit of research i ended up with getting this graphic card and i must say I'm not disappointed... Excellent quality and built... Quite and cool, never gone over 62°while gaming,40°idle...fan start spinning after around 58°... If you stuck between getting this or other cheaper model i suggest don't waste your money on them and buy this without hesitation.. And if you stuck between this and 2060 make sure go for high end quality 2060 otherwise you end up with a noisy and hot gpu

the reason the value for money is 4 stars is because you can get much cheaper versions but its still 4 stars for the oc factor that comes with it also runs super cool in vr without me having to even crank the fan speed past 55 stays around 50 degrees and its a pretty nice card to go with my rainbow rgb on white and black case aesthetic so all in all recommended buy (when the price is around 300 no more maybe less).

runs cool and looks fantastic , if all you want is 1080p 60 fps high settings then this is the card for you. it can even do 1440p 60 fps in (most games that are not demanding). it beats GTX 1070 in mostly all games . just make sure you pair it with at least 4 cores cpu. like i5 or any ryzen cpu.

works perfectly, I play any title without problems, I advise you to give reviews on youtube anyway because I almost always play only at cs go, which however makes an average of 250fps with all the details at most

I now have a very quiet pc temperature around 60° even in new games . Performance is excellent and the bonus is the very low power draw. Has to be the best all round card available at the moment.
