4yo boy LOVES these - we have several and they always keep him entertained for far longer than you might anticipate!The brush uses plain water - it unscrews to allow you to fill a small reservoir, then screws back on tightly. We've not had any problems with leakage. The reservoir lasts a long time - enough to complete the book 8-10 times in our experience.Each page starts with a black outline on a white page. Upon brushing water onto it, an image is revealed beneath, filling the outline with colours and details. In addition to the entertainment this provides, there is also a look and find aspect - on the back of each page are a selection of detail for children to find within the details that have been revealed.The book is five 'pages'

Awesome toy, I bought a couple of these for my little boy who was then 20 months old, thinking they might keep him (or me) entertained for a few minutes on a long haul flight that I was dreading - they have been so much more than I had hoped for, he very quickly caught on how to hold the pen and "colour" the pages, since it is chunky and easy to grip, and dispenses water very readily (yet without spilling). These not only brought on his motor skills, but kept him quiet during a long delay at the stopover airport and are great for playing "can you see the dog/butterfly/bird" etc as there are many hidden items (he could just about point but was no way ready for I spy or talking!) - he still loves them now,

I love these but you do have to watch little ones under 4 who aren’t gentle and scratch the card and who use soo much water on it as the item is basically cardboard which if gets too wet will break. I do however on all of these attach a piece of string through a hole I make in the top of the book just where the logo is and then I attach the other end of the string to the pen with tape so that my child can never drop the pen. I found with this book that the pen is easily dropped for a child and when I’m driving I don’t want to have to stop so I can pick the pen up for my child so what I have done fixes this issue and still allows the pen to be stored in the book when not in use. Brilliant product - my 2.5 year old daughter has previously played a lot with the underwater version so I bought this one to bring out on a 9 hour flight. She was over the moon to get a new one and it kept her entertained for ages on the flight. As the brush just contains clean water, after she'd painted every page in the book, she painted all over herself, her tray, cleaned her aeroplane window, seat, safety card etc. with it (drying it off with a tissue afterwards)! She has also played with it a lot whilst on holiday, taking it on car journeys etc. too. Well worth the money!

I tried one before (another brand) and was hesitating to buy this one but I have tried other products of this brand (wooden puzzles) and all of them seem to be very good. So, I took the risk of buying this one and I think it's very nice. Because of my girl is a but young for it, she haa scratched the surfaces a bit as she pushes the brush too hard but with older kids that can understand and care about their stuffs, i don't see this as a problem. It brings 4 different pictures and it takes a while to dry but probably less than 1 hour. I really like it and my girl loves it!

Bought this for my niece who was amazed with it! Didn't take her long to realise that you could lick the pages and get the same effect... yum... she has a magic tongue, apparently! lol Great item for on the go- no mess to worry about apart from a little water that dries in anyway. The pages dry out fairly quickly, so they can be reused for ages. If your little one is a bit heavy handed, the coating of the pages can be rubbed/ gouged away after a few weeks, but I can't fault the product for that! I would buy again, and have already bought other varieties of them.

My 2 year old got this for her birthday. It's a great product, I use it all the time when we're going some place, it's about A5 so it can fit in a bag. Just put water in the brush and it's ready to go. I would recommend getting a better water brush though as I found the bristles hard and if pushed down a lot can't brush well. We've used ours a lot with the not-so-good brush and it's warped and sort of ruined the book, but for the price it is, it's totally worth it. Loved it so much I bought another one for a birthday girl who is a toddler.

LOVE all the water wow,We have 6, my 2yo daughter colours them in the car, on her stroller, at dinner time...anywhere and everywhereBUT... in this particular one, on page 3 you see the "house" Pets (dog, cat, goldfish...) In the window of a PET STORE... no. Just no.MELISSA AND DOUG, you are great, but you could have just use a different background here. The pet store really ruined the whole thing. Good thing is that my daughter s too young to know that pets are unfortunately also sold in stores...

I was only introduced to these water books recently and our 2 year old loves them (she's got 3 different ones now!). They are particularly useful while travelling and in the car. Only thing that would make them better would be somewhere you could actually keep the pen (from what I can tell, once you've taken the pen out, that little compartment becomes redundant), to prevent losing it and/or water oozing from it into your bag! Other than that they are great.

Arrived as described. Nothing was damaged, pen is not leaking. 22-month old who doesn't like doodling or painting spent 15 mins playing - that was the longest she ever sat with a pen of any kind in her hand. The only thing - some pictures don't really change colours (like zebras - they were black and white and become black and white after wetting). But we are happy overall. I would buy it again.

My 2 year old loves this. It is great at encouraging children to get used to holding pens/paint brushes. The water immediately changes the colour on the page which is vibrant and good quality. It dries and the colour disappears within 5-10 minutes so can be painted again and again. I highly recommend this for young children. As a parent, it's great because there's no mess left from painting

These toys are amazing - so much fun and no mess. Really simple to use even for children younger than the recommended age. My daughter is 19 months old and will sit for ages and use this and my nearly 7 year old son also finds it fun to use in the car. I would highly recommend these and fully intend to buy more to keep in the car for long journeys!

My son absolutely loves this product, he is just getting into drawing so I was looking for something safe and clean for him to have fun with and it didn’t disappoint. The colours are great and easy to use. Easy to fill and no leaking. It dries well and you can reuse it again and again and it still be like new. Definitely recommend.

This is a great product for young children, painting with no mess! Pictures are great and dry out to be used again and again, product does what it says! Children even love to paint their fingers, hands etc with the little brush, and are happy to paint the pictures again! I one hundred per cent endorse this product.

Great idea! Love it, and the brush worked brilliantly well to start with, until my nearly 3yo had scrubbed it into a bushy mess, when it wasn't quite so good! Don't know how that could be addressed, really, as it's technically "user error" - but if they could be made more robust, I'd have given it 5 stars.
