Great mat. Aquadoodle is amazing, and I feel comfortable letting my 17-month-old play with the pens while I multitask (with crayons she tends to try to colour on everything but paper the minute I take my eyes off her). I also like that it rolls out as a mat and children get the chance to be creative with a big drawing space. The only downsides are the pale pink section is a bit washed out and hard to see when drawn on, and if you or your child accidentally leave the pen on the mat for too long it can leave permanent blotchy stains. But overall it's a great and inventive product if your child likes to draw.

Bought for my 17 month old daughter. She really likes it and as the pen is only filled with water it doesn't matter if she then tries to draw on my sofa or floor! Pen is also a good size and 'chunkiness' for little hands.On the downside the mat seemed alot smaller than it appeared on the picture and you do have to be careful that they don't have any grease on their hands (or have the mat near them when they eat and flick their food around) as it does stain the mat and damage it.Overall though great idea for little ones who are just getting into holding a pen and want to do some scribbling

As much as my 2 year old loves felt pens, I have to help him with the lids and keep an eye on where he's waving the pen! This is a great alternative for when you want to leave them to it. No lids, no mess, no stains. It's fantastic. All you have to do is put water in the pen and it lasts a good while. The marks they make then dry up over a short period, or you could stick it next to a radiator or outside in summer. The water does not "go everywhere", it merely makes the pen nip damp. My son also likes the pictures, numbers and alphabet around the edge. Highly recommended.

I purchased this as a gift as our daughter had one when she was a toddler, which she occasionally still uses now she is 5. It's perfect if you have a little one who is prone to drawing on things they shouldn't! No ink involved, just water, meaning the mat can be used again and again and any straying from the surface of the mat, causes no damage to your furniture.Great for developing creativity and most of all lots of fun and because it folds you can pop it in a bag to take away with you.

Good product. Great for letting young children be creative without creating the same amount of mess or needing as much supervision as actual paint. I think that the rainbow aquamat may be better as it has more tools but you can improvise with additional brushes etc with this one. I bought this as a present and unfortunately the box was very battered when it was given to me. I took it anyway as I was in a rush but I don't think Argos should give out products in this state.

The aqua doodle mat is a good size and my 16 month old loves it. I love the fact I don't have to worry about paint or pen marks getting onto the carpet or walls plus it's foldable so easy to store or take away. Only thing I would say is that 1 pen isn't enough. 2 would be much better - more sociable! Another thing- why orange and not primary colour red? Seems strange being the odd one out. For these reasons (mostly the pen thing) I give 4 stars rather than 5.

I bought this aqua doodle mat for my 3yr old granddaughter as she loves playing with a small book which has the same concept. She likes the different coloured areas and loves doing hand and foot prints all over the play mat and seeing them disappear when the mat dries out. Her parents love the fact that there isn't any mess! It's easy for little ones to use the pen that comes with the mat, they can also use a paint brush with a container of water.

great, fun and entertaining product. it is a great size, not small, large enough for both my kids to lie on the carpet and draw away to their hearts content. product is great quality. the watermarks dry very quickly. and the fact that the mat has four colors makes it lots of fun for the kids. i would recommend ordering an additional pen/s, only because i have two small children and there would certainly have been lots of fighting and tears

We now have two of these (had to purchase a 2nd just to get another pen) I have 2 & 1/2 year old twins and they liked the aquadoddle so much that there is no way they are going to share!!The fact that they can write anywhere else and it doesn't cause a mess is brilliant (we also have a chalk board and cleaning the sofa etc is not fun).You also don't have to worry about them putting the pens into their mouths as its only water,

Well, the grandchildren took to this very quickly both with their own doodling and early letter-forming as well as to try and decipher my own dodgy artwork. (No, really, it is a cat!)The mat dries quickly enough (by virtue of which, the drawings fade) to keep the interest & avoid it becoming over full so no space for more drawing.Criticisms? Only that there is just one pen provided. However more can be purchased.

Bought for my son's 3rd birthday. I had the 'Thomas the Tank' version for my older son, and this one is a lot smaller than that. I was also disappointed that there was only one pen, so they have to take turns rather than play together.Having said that, the 3 year old likes it, and it's something I can leave him playing with, with the knowledge that he can't get into too much mischief the second my back is turned!

Bought one of these for my sons 2nd birthday as he loves to scribble and he loves playing with water, so is a lot of fun for him as he can draw, write, do hand and foot prints and theres no horrible mess afterwards :) its got a picture of something for every letter of the alphabet and numbers 1-5 also with pictures to help the kids learn. hours of fun and you dont have to clean up after WIN WIN!! haha brilliant

I bought the Tomy aquadraw for my daughter for xmas and it's brilliant! She loves writing away on the large mat which also teaches the alphabet, numbers and has lots of images too for you to colour over. I enjoy playing with her and even ordered some additional pens from Tomy direct so that we can colour and draw together without fighting for the pen!Highly recommend to all mums for their little ones.

I purchased this product for my nephews birthday, he loved it from the moment he opened it.it is very educational as it has letters and pictures around the sides which can also be helpful for a kid to learn, the best thing about this product is that there is no mess whatsoever.my nephew is 3 and my nieces are 2, they all love this product and I would recommend this to parents with very active kids.

I purchased the aqua doodle as a gift for my 1.5 years daughter. It is bright , good quality and bigger than i expected it to me. It will be fab for her as she is learning to draw and colour. She can learn how to hold a pen correctly and not get pens all over the house,or eat the crayons! She can get more creative as she grows. Her big sister love having a go too! Would definately recommend!
