This Doctor costume arrives on a hangar with a plastic cover for protection. It is a really well made and thought out item. The coat has a hospital id badge in the upper pocket which has room for a name and photo. It has a number of pockets as it comes with some doctor tools as well as an adjustable velcro face mask which are placed in these pockets. These are held in place by some threads so will have to be cut before play can begin, but it only takes a few minutes to release everything. The stethescope requires two cell batteries which don't come with the costume, and once inserted when pressed will make a realistic bad cough sound and when pressed again a beating heart sound.

Bought for our 3 year old this Christmas and did not disappoint! A fantastic set with great equipment and they really look the part! It's much more realistic and modern than other outfits I've seen. I'm really glad I bought this and not a nurses outfit. Our daughter loves it and has the best cared for teddy bears around! It also has an educational value and she has begun to ask questions about what makes you healthy, what makes you poorly and has learned about the sorts of treatment she might best prescribe for different ailments. She sent her sneezing Grandma to bed with an orange and a box of tissues the other day! lol.

I bought this as the kids I look after are always checking each other for 'bugs' and pretending they need a doctor. As soon as I unwrapped it, kids aged 23 months, 2, and 4 were all over it and calling for a doctor. I wish I had bought them one each as they all love being the doctor. The stethoscope plays either a heartbeat or a poorly coughing sound. It's a good size fitting the 2 and 4 year olds well. Not stiff or itchy for them. Overall, I love it because the kids are getting so many learning opportunities from it. Will look at buying more from Melissa and doug dress up range.

I had looked at a couple of other doctors outfits but Melissa & Doug is a brand we've had lots of things from and they have always been so well thought out and loved by our granddaughter so chose this set. A few £ more than other sets but definitely worth the extra cost. Very well made, good design and loads of good quality extras that are extremely durable. Must add you do need to buy batteries for the stethoscope. Perfect gift for our 4yr old granddaughters birthday as she has told me doctors are superheroes which is a refreshing change to being a princess.

I bought this for a 3yo who normally hates dressing up, and she loves it. All the accessories make it much more fun that "just" a costume. The name card etc just give that extra touch and make the children feel like it's authentic. Also useful that the various bits all fit into the pockets of the white coat so they can all be stored together without the worry about losing stuff everywhere. Definitely a present they can grow with.

This was purchased for a 3rd birthday present and we were delighted with the quality of the outfit. The clothing is thick enough to be durable and the medical accessories, of which there are plenty, are again of a nice quality to be a lovely gift. I have always considered Melissa & Doug to offer sound quality items, be them dressing up clothing such as this, wooden toys or stickers - once again I was not disappointed.

I bought this item for my 2 year old daughter,she loves it. It is really good quality and it is played with almost every day. The delivery of this item was very quick and I would recommend this item and seller to any one. There is one thing I need to say is than the item came in a box 3 times the size of the item and think it was over the top but on the oth hand it kept it safe from any damage, well packed :)

Both my grandsons have enjoyed playing Doctor and I have had enough "injections" to last a lifetime! It has been a very good buy with the six year old probably favouring it more than the three year old who slightly preferred the fire chief outfit also by Melissa and Doug. Together these have provided many hours of imaginative play - very good value for money as well made and will last.

Well made coat which I think would fit a wide age range, smart too with the green trim. The see through pockets are a clever idea full as they are with an assortment of essential medical items that any budding doctor/vet will enjoy using. You can even hear the heart through the stethoscope! Expensive but worth it because of its play value and longevity. My granddaughter loved it.

You can never go wrong with Melissa and Doug. Bought this for my tall 3yr old and it fits loose which means there is plenty of wear in it. The pockets for all the instruments is a nice touch - anything that comes with built in 'storage' is a bonus as far as I'm concerned :-) The stethoscope plays a heart beat which just adds to the fun.

Was excited about purchasing this gift for my 2 year old daughter. Even more excited when it arrived and she opened it. The only fault that I have about this product is the instructions for opening the battery compartment on the stethoscope should have been clearer on what part to open!Very good investment otherwise ?

Bought for our 3 year old who wanted a doctor set as he loves playing doctors. The jacket is fairly huge on him but he can still wear it and he loves playing doctors. Everyone in the family has been a patient and he loves that you can hear a heart beat when batterires are in the stethoscope. Lovely set and sturdy too.

My daughter loves dress-up costumes and the Melissa and Doug costume is one of the better ones we had seen in the shops. This is good quality and I expect it will last ,but yes you can get cheaper Dr Dress-up kits... didn't put me off buying this as Amazon had it listed cheaper than any shop I had seen it in.

This was a birtdhay present for my grandson, which I ordered rather late. It arrived on 21 September, 1 day before his birthday, and he absolutely loves it. Fast delivery, good value for money and excellent service; I am a very happy customer and my grandson had a very happy birthday.
