I chose this particular easel for my 8-yr old as it is 120cm tall. Most other easels were 1m or less - no 'growing room'.The quality is good; the blackboard and white board are plenty large enough; there is no drawing space wasted in frames around the boards. It was easy to construct. My child loves drawing on it and playing schools. The jointed legs means the extensions can be taken off and it can be put on her desk, in the very small bedroom. I can't see any problems in the quality of the wood, as mentioned in another review. Good value for money. I would recommend this product.

My son was so excited when he saw this on his birthday. He plays with it everyday.The finishing on the woodwork isn't perfect, but we've had no problems with assembly and it looks great. I bought the no spill paint pots on their own and some different paint which is washable (as the reviews said the m&d paint wasn't washable). The rolls of paper are cheap enough to buy as well separately. It's very useful for explaining things clearly now that he's starting school In Sept.

I have finally, this weekend, managed to get this put up and hidden away for Christmas whilst LG was sleeping out.I found It was very easy to put together and it is a lovely sturdy easel.This will be perfect for our messy play days.I also purchased the Melissa and Doug accessories kit to go with it and they're a perfect accompaniment and are very reasonably priced too.I just know this will last a long time.I just know it will be greatly used! ;)

This is a well made, sturdy product of good quality. The paper cutter is a great idea and the plastic trays are practical. As the description says it is whiteboard one side and chalkboard the other. I would warn that it is pretty large, even when folded away. Also I think it should come with some art supplies - particularly a roll of paper which you are unlikely to have already at home. If Christmas present remember to buy in some supplies!

Bought this for my 6 yo daughter's birthday. she is very happy. we can now plactice for her spelling tests! Overall, the easel is very well made. Dont forget to buy all the extras and make sure you check the roll of the paper you are buying, so it fits the roller. We bought one which was recommended on this website, however, it was 3 times more expensive than the same one in WHSmith and did not fit the easel's roller!

Excellent easel and our grandsons are having fun using it. Shame the white board isn't magnetic. Only problem was that the white board was slightly damaged on the corner but is covered over by the screws on the lowest setting at the moment. The white board also has a small bump in it but the whole thing came in so many pieces that I didn't think I could get it back in the box.

I am so pleased with this. It is a very good sturdy quality product. All my children have found their inner creativity and have enjoyed their creative time. Only small downside is it doesn't provide any materials. They must be bought separately. And this is why I have not given 5 stars. Overall a really good product and one I would recommend.

Perfect - exactly what we were looking for our 5 year old. Very good quality and I think it will last years. The accessory set also brilliant which we received as a Christmas present from a relative to go with the easel. Very pleased with the purchase and a big fan of M&D products in general as always great quality and value for money.

When we first opened box we were a bit shocked at how many pieces there were. However it was quite simple to construct and very sturdy. A second rod for the paper roll would be useful so that we can store the constant flow of creativity without removing it from the easel.

I bought this easal along with the accessories set. My children absolutely love this product and play for hours. What's nice is that it is double sided so two children can paint or draw at the same time. Excellent product, sturdy frame and larger then I anticipated.

Bought this for my 3 year old Grandson. It wasn't the easiest to put together but that was mainly due to not reading the instructions. Once we used the instructions it went together well. It's sturdier than I expected and will grow with my Grandson. He loves it!

My grandchildren love the easel. Very sturdy. I am very familial with Doug and Melissa products after a career as an early childhood teacher. My favorite thing about this type of product is that it lets the kids experiment with their own imaginations.

Got this for our daughter at Xmas as she loves art and crafts and I'm pleased to say its great. She still loves it now and it's may. It's great quality and its so easy to order additional paper for it. This product was money well spent.

A present for my grandson who immediately started to use it even though he had more technical Christmas presents. My son reports that it took a long time to assemble, possibly because he had to restart after a mistake was recognised.
