Neat & sweet little stamp set I found as an excellent alternative to stickers. The 10 wooden stamps are well made and easy and comfortable to hold. There is a small variety of ink pads and colouring pencils to use, I found these ok but you could possibly supplement using other good craft ink pads and colouring pens/pencils.It is easy to stamp multiple colours and mix up the ink pads, this is a little bit of a mess but not important. With a little supervision the stamps can be cleaned whenever you decide to change colours which may be considered a bit of a faff for children! Although I like the wooden box provided, it is not the best storage solution as there is no lid and once opened from new,

Tried a couple of other types of stampers for my toddler before these and these are the only ones that I felt happy enough to leave in the arts and crafts box. Their design not only makes them easy to hold but also less likely for my daughter to get ink all over her hands when trying to put them in the ink pad. The small narrow ink pad is a positive and a negative. It’s less messy so means less ink everywhere but means that my daughter doesn’t always put the stamp in her intended color target which causes tears at times! It also means that the colors are really mixed now and they sort of bleed into one another. But overall this is a good product which really helps with motor skills and hand eye coordination.

As with all Melissa & Doug products, this is really nicely presented and its chunky wooden design will appeal to parents as much as children. The stamps have a comfortable turned handle that's perfect for little hands and a selection of designs that print pretty clearly. The set also includes a multi-coloured ink pad and coloured pencils, and the whole thing is presented in a shallow wooden tray that would make useful storage/work area for crafty items. A couple of minor complaints: whilst not overtly "girly", overall the stamps are going to be more appealing to girls (flower, butterfly, bows, cupcakes). It's a shame, as it would be very easy to make it totally gender neutral. Also,

My son age 4 absolutely loved these stamps and for once I didn't find them too girly which most of these general sets are but I think still no good for older boys. There is a good choice of stamps and the little wooden handles were easy to hold. The ink pad provided had a good 6 colours but was very small and after only a bit of use and continued stamping the colours were hard to see through. They were very easily mixed. A set of pencils were also provided with the stamp set but not really used. Had a great deal of fun with this product and have no doubt my son will continue to do so. The stamps are well made and will likely out last the interest of any child but the stamp pad will need

My 20 month old loved the stamps, loved the different shapes it made especially the animals and the rainbows, but she quickly lost interest with having to push the stamps into the ink pad so hard to actually make a shape and even then sometimes it'd be a bit faint. Completely understand the concept of a mess free activity but I think when you buy kids ink stamps you accept that there'll be a bit of mess! At least I'd rather that than a stamp set shes not interested in using. Would've also preferred the wooden box to have a lid of some sort so you can store the stamps away properly instead of just being in a container but overall a nice product, would just tweak it slightly.

This is a very basic set of stamps and ink pads plus five colouring pencils. It is attractive and appealing for children of 4plus. I think it is more appealing to girls, with pictures of rainbows, cupcakes, flowers and more. My younger grandchildren are all girls and they had a good time with the set. It's a shame there isn't a box to keep them in after you open the pack, but I have used a spare plastic box so I can store them for the next visit and play.As other reviewers have said the ink pads are not long lasting but it is easy to buy those separately on Amazon. I was pleased to see my favourite colour purple included both as a pencil and an ink pad.A good buy I think.

This is a great product, I chose it for the long handles and greater choice of colours over the other stamping sets. I gave one to my friend's 3 yr old a few months ago and she said she wanted to try it straight away and it has been a big hit. I have recently bought another set for another friend's 3 yr old and this time noticed the box says 4+ on it. The Amazon listing says 24 months - 99yrs and "perfect for preschoolers" so I was surprised to see this on the box, right on the front label. It's a little embarrassing as I don't want my friend to think I have bought her daughter an unsuitable present! Other than that it would have been 5 stars.

My four-and-a-half year old boy really enjoys playing with these stamps. They are easy for him to use and the quality of the images is sharp with a varied range of designs.The inkpad comes in six bright colours, though any one colour is quite small, so don't expect them to last a very long time. There are five colouring pencils included, these are of good enough quality and quite slim.Overall, this is not a bad little set and my boy has had fun with it and integrates stamping into other art and craft activities, though I wouldn't say that it has become his main activity in that area.

Melissa and Doug products are well thought out, safe, attractive and most of all fun. This is no exception. With 10 different stamps and 6 coloured ink pads and 5 coloured pencils giving the little ones an endless choice for decorating their drawings or for simply messing about for fun. This colourful set comes in a solid wooden box and here is the clever bit: each stamp has an exactly right , gripable handle for little fists making it easy to use. Both my 18month and 3 year old grandsons took to it immediately .A nice gift for any youngster.

Lovely stamps, perfect for little hands to hold and do stamping with. Bought this for my three year old and she loved it - however, the stamping pad didn't last long and dried out quickly. This was more down to a three year old not being conscious enough of putting the lid back on though rather than a product issue! :-)It would have been nice if there had been a proper lid to the box so the stamps can be kept in there but there is just a little plastic cover that then becomes redundant once the product has been opened.

What child doesn't like to pick up a stamp and stamp patterns everywhere.It is a robust and solid product, a great product for little hands. I can confirm the paint is washable, it came off the walls with little effort.My daughter thought it would be fun to make tattoos on her arms, a quick bath later and all washed off. It is a great addition to creative minds.Again the product is nicely presented and fun to use, lovely and tactile and not bad value either.

This set is absolutely ideal for my seven year old daughter. She loves the bright colours and wide range of stamps which give her the opportunity to create very innovative greetings cards - quite a lot of them as it so happens. I would suggest to the manufacturer that they make the ink pads more robust and also to contain more ink. As it stands the ink runs out or dries out quite quickly. Current solution is to buy coloured ink pads from other manufactures.

This is a great stamp set. The wooden stamps are perfect for little hands and are so easy to use, without children having to press too hard. There are ten wooden stamps with different pictures on and an ink pad with six different colours. The ink pad is quite small, but fits the stamps perfectly and washed off hands without any problems. I'm not sure how long the ink will last, but the stamp set is lots of fun. Would definitely recommend.

I absolutely loved this set purchased for my nieces for Christmas and they were just so perfect. The stampers were a good size and the images were really cute.A nice selection of coloured stamps. The box as always with the Melissa and Doug stamper sets (and i have bought a few) is well made and nicely houses the items.I would 100% recommend this to anyone who has an arty little lady and likes to make things look pretty!

Excellent quality stamp set with a selection of coloured ink and colouring pencils. The stamp prints are very clear and detailed, ideal for children making notelets, invitations and greetings cards. The wooden stamps are comfortable to hold and easy to position. The set is only limited to the width of the imagination of the user, so you can produce some gorgeous designs with very little effort.
