First things first, I'm playing this post patch, so the review will make no mention to the various issues in the published reviews because, to be frank, they're not there anymore. A lot of cynicism over the review embargo has led to some excessively negative reviews as if day 1 patching is exclusive to Warfighter. Given how many games, MW2 and BF3 included, that have had to have day 1 patches to fix last minute issues, this seems, to me, to be a ridiculous criticism. Heck, I still remember Rockstar taking more than a week to fix the completely unplayable PS3 version of GTA4 that constantly crashed and wiped it's own saves. How short people's memories are. Secondly,I'm coming to this as a fan of the last Danger Close instalment of MoH. Their campaign came across as far more personal and far closer to reality than the Michael Bay/Jerry Bruckheimer inspired nonsense that has marred every Call Of Duty since Modern Warfare 2. Concentrating solely on a dramatised account of a real world operation paid off fantastically well. The characters were far better realised and the fate of Tier 1 operative "Rabbit" actually had genuine emotion. So, what of Warfighter? Well, the same characters are back but Danger Close has spread the plot a bit more thinly this time. Whilst, apparently, based on real operations, the round the world tour of this campaign just feels less realistic and a little too close to CoD's nonsense campaigns of the past 3 instalments. Thankfully, Preacher, Mother and Voodoo still come across as real soldiers rather than the Rambo types of Modern Warfare, or the cardboard cutouts of BF3s awful single player mode, but it's a shame to find some the authentic feel has been sacrificed for unnecessary set pieces and a world tour that seems to exist purely to offer multiplayer map variety. But, despite that, the action, especially the guns' noise and weight, is far more grounded than CoD, the AI less thick and the trigger points where enemies are added to a level far less obvious. Where it veers into set piece ,it does look fantastic, and the vehicle sections are the best in an FPS I've ever played (not that driving actually belongs in an FPS, let's be honest). Graphically, I have no idea what game some people are playing, but the MoH I bought looks fantastic. A step on from BF3 and a whole league above Modern Warfare 3 with it's overly saturated and cartoonish look. The CoD engine, able to trace it's roots back to id's Quake, is just feeling horribly dated nowadays, and Frostbite 2 really shows that up. I won't comment on multiplayer too much as I've only had a chance to play a few games, but I'm not yet convinced of the buddy system and the slight hints of Ghost Recon: Future Soldier. The last game's MP, by DICE, was effectively a cut down dry run for BF3 and, while some of the spawning was ridiculous, was, again, more grounded and realistic. Squads had to cover each other and think tactically to survive, unlike CoD's run around like Usain Bolt with akimbo shotguns approach. But it seems solid, matchmaking is rapid and no connection issues so far. It certainly provides enough options to be fun, if not essential. We'll see.So, if you enjoyed the last game, there's more to enjoy here. Perhaps a little more watered down and unoriginal, but still, in my opinion, far more enjoyable than every CoD since the first Modern Warfare. And for the people claiming it has a 3-4 hour campaign....it does have a regular and hard difficulty as well you know. You might want to try those too. It's also interesting to see that the 1 star reviewer's histories reveal them to be serial givers of 1 star and claiming they constantly throw £40 games in the bin after finishing them in 5 minutes. Don't worry guys, we really do believe you, honest.EDIT: I've had a lot more time with the multiplayer and would give a warning to people expecting a CoD clone, as reviewers have suggested. It's not. In fact, it couldn't be further from CoD if it tried. Try running around like most prepubescent MW3 players do and you'll die in seconds, repeatedly. It's also not at all like the Battlefield series, unlike the previous outing. I'd say it's far closer to Rainbow 6 Vegas (the better first game, not the rushed sequel) with elements of GRAW2 (in first person). You need to be tactical, approach the objectives as a team and back each other up. The OCD suffering Cod crowd will absolutely hate it. Expect more 1 star reviews of people claiming they put it in the bin incoming, but if you're a grown up looking for a military sim that's more military and less Michael Bay, definitely give it a go. Graphically, the MP modes suffer compared to single player. I have no idea why. Maybe Danger Close couldn't keep the frame rate up without sacrificing texture detail? Doesn't remotely bother me as I'm actually enjoying this, instead of swearing at glitchers and hackers on Modern Warfare. The crowd that's taken it on board seem more mature and friendlier than the usual FPS bunch so I'd recommend it. Just make sure you give it time. This won't grab you immediately. Also now played through the campaign on hard and starting Tier 1 difficulty. Still throughly enjoying it. It is a bit more Tom Clancy than I'd have liked (I fully expected Matt Damon or Ben Affleck to turn up) but it's still grounded enough in reality to be different from the competition. Ok, back to reading and laughing at all the 1 star reviewers that completed it in 5 minutes.....

Single PlayerFirstly I need to point out that this game is Top Class and in no way a waste of time or money as some other reviews state. The story that surrounds the campaign is brilliant. It's gripping, brilliantly acted and voiced and in comparison to other FPS classics is far more believable in terms of a genuine terror threat. One thing that I truly love about this game is the sound and feel of the weapons and most importantly the impact of these weapons on the surrounding environment. The destruction in this game is top notch and although the gore detail may have dropped a little since the last Medal of Honor instalment the feeling of taking down an enemy is still brilliant, especially in comparison to the main comparative game, which is Battlefield 3.Battlefield 3, will in many peoples eyes be the main comparative FPS game as it has been produced on the same graphics engine and also obviously developed by the same gaming giant that is EA. In terms of campaign this game beats Battlefield 3 on so many levels. When firing your gun at an enemy in Battlefield 3, there was no spice or edge that made you almost feel that you were really firing an AK47. Bullets seemed to pass through enemies as if they weren't even there and although I am not a fan of extreme gore in games, with the level of realism in Battlefield 3 you would at least expect a little gore. For me, Medal of Honor Warfighter has filled these gaps and provides a genuinely enjoyable FPS gaming experience. The visuals, I feel, are better that Battlefield 3 in many areas. Dust and smoke from destructing environments are brilliant and character texture levels are extremely high. Yes, the scale of this campaign may not seem as grand as that of Battlefield 3, but this is a very different military experience. Moving away from `frontline' action to more of a `behind the scenes' look at warfare, this campaign ticks all of the boxes for me. The idea of having dual iron sights is pure brilliance, as this gives the feel of carrying multiple weapons. For me this added a great deal of variety in gameplay and set a new high standard for other FPS chains to mimic.Although, I have really enjoyed this Medal of Honor instalment, it does have a few down sides, not many, but a few none the less. Firstly, the campaign is quite short. Its not too short, but I would have appreciated maybe an hour or so more gameplay, just to get my full 40 quid's worth. Maybe EA will come in with some extra downloadable missions to add back stories to the characters. That might be a tall order, but here's to hoping! Secondly, the new cover system tries to match that of the Killzone games, which is of a very high standard in terms of playability. If you select to not use auto zoom in cover from the options menu, this system is improved, but a little work on this could still be beneficial for an overall better cover system.Overall, I have truly enjoyed playing this game and will soon be starting the campaign on the next difficulty level. In many peoples eyes Medal of Honor Warfighter has been viewed as the little brother of Battlefield 3, but this is most definitely not the case. Medal of Honor Warfighter is a brilliant modern terror FPS experience and I only hope that EA and Danger Close complete this series with a third instalment. Well done EA.Overall Score - 8.5/10 (Would be a 9 or 9.5 if the campaign was a little longer)MultiplayerI am not really a big multiplayer gamer. When did people start to ignore campaigns and move on to multiplayer being the main aspect of a game? I used to be and still am a huge fan of campaigns and the story that surrounds a game. Games are increasingly becoming more like interactive movie experiences and I absolutely love this shift in the gaming world. Unfortunately, FPS games are increasingly being slanted over poor multiplayer experiences and this, in turn, is affecting the overall review of a game. From what I have played online, I can not see any of the issues that some gamers are stating, but like I said, I am not a huge fan of this chain of gaming and may not be as aware of some of the gripes that other multiplayer gamers may have. I would like to think that this game could change my mind about FPS multiplayer modes and I will be making a special effort to embrace the multiplayer aspect of this game. Hopefully I will be able to add to this review in the near future with some good news on this front.Add me on PSN - maiorano

Its that time of year again, for many of us we were expecting Bad Company 3 but we have received a gift from Danger Close instead.I have read many reviews with many concluding on how this new Medal of Honour is more Call of Duty than Medal of Honour but in my opinion MOHW is its own game it's a fun, shooting, blasting, rollercoaster of a ride game and it does this very well. Sadly it doesn't seem to have much of a following and has been written of by many reviewers.Medal of Honour is exactly what it says on the tin, its no Arma. It is a action first person shooter, when we watch Commando, Rambo, Casino Royale, Homeland, Executive Decision or any Steven Seagal movie we don't say that they copy each other, they are simply action films and Medal of Honour is simply a great first person shooter and that is it's DNA. It is one of the forerunner fps franchises and for me, I am glad that they have continued the franchises step into the 21st century. The game mechanics are brilliant, it feels very realistic where Battlefield is more hands on MMOFPS run and gun. Medal of Honour's character models feel much more heavy. The controls are still quite similar to Battlefield but feel somewhat refined. The cover system could do with some work but aside from that the shooting mechanics are great. The single player is quite reminiscent of Sky & Cinemax's Strike Back and it has some of the most thrilling first Person driving sections that I have seen in a game to date. Medal of Honour has learnt from Battlefield 3 and I believe that it has more in common with Battlefield than COD. Medal of Honours younger brother Battlefield 3 is for me the defining shooter of this generation.Online Medal of Honour feels very fast paced and this change I suspect was a deliberate one. The games are a lot quicker and can take some getting used too if you're a Battlefield gamer like I am but this more arcade feel is a breath of fresh air. It has a good selection of maps and for me the servers have been stable. Yes, MOHW uses Origin but I have had 0 problems with the service since I installed the game.Onto the graphics, Medal of Honours graphics are very close too if not some of the best in class bar Battlefield 3 and Crysis 2, Medal of Honour is brilliant. I am using a standard GTX 580 and have the game running on ULTRA and have experienced zero lag frame rate drops or slowdown. I hope that Danger Close will release some brighter maps which really show the beauty of the frostbite engine as some of the maps can be quite dark.Danger Close have done a brilliant job, unfortunately Medal of Honours success and fate has been determined more so by the time of year that it has been released in than the quality of the game and as there is no Battlefield this year it would seem that its fate had been decided. If Medal of Honour didn't come out at the same time as Dishonoured, Halo 4, Call of Duty BO2 it would have scored better with mainstream reviewers. I doubt we will see another Medal of Honour game until 2014 or thereafter as it will be Battlefield vs COD next year and I suspect that this will be a next generation Battlefield which will run perfectly on the GTX 680 or unannounced 700 Maxwell series.Give MOHW a chance, if you like action and enjoy shooters rent it or buy it.Score - 8/10+ Great Campaign+ Refreshing Multiplayer+ Great Graphics+ Solid Controls+ Driving Levels- Dark Dank Maps- Small Selection of Multiplayer Maps- 720p Downscaling on driving levels- Ported Cutscenes- No exploding skulls with headshots- Questionable cover systemI have noticed that there are a lot of trolls reviewing products on Amazon.co.uk and I hope to produce than objective unbiased reviews for gamers and tech enthusiasts. Well, I picked this game up for a fiver, and with it being my first MoH game was a little sceptical, but, having played other FPS military games such as Battlefield and Call of Duty, this comes in as a close 3rd. I find that these companies try to outdo each other every year (and fail miserably) with their collective ideas and basically each one is pretty much the same as the others. As far as the fun element goes though, I'll give it 5/5, for dashing around killing Jihadists in the Yemen, Pakistan and the Philippines, for example, and currently having a good gaming rig of 3.8Ghz CPU, 16GB RAM and a 2GB graphics card I've had no problems with lag, or, texture glitches at all, it plays extremely well, although, I'm sure that EA have put out a few patches since it was first released 4 years ago, which is probably why it received a lot of negative feedback after it was first released. I do like the idea of not having silly markers above the heads of the enemy though, and this game scores highly in that regard, having to peek round corners to catch any protaganists in the area was quite refreshing and what being a soldier is all about, only little kids like triangles above the enemies heads so, they can see who they are shooting at, it's about time that these developers started to treat players like adults, we are supposed to be in a realistic battlefield of sorts, are we not? A few reviewers have already stated elsewhere that the storyline was a bit annoying for some, to include personal family problems is probably not what you'd expect to find in a game of this sort, nor, the scene of a train bombing in Madrid, I also had a couple of game freezes along the way, which necessitates having to restart from the last startpoint, however, I enjoyed the military side of things, and the car chase in the 3rd or 4th section through the streets of Karachi in Pakistan was absolutely breathtaking, even though it only lasted for around 7 minutes, but, to actually damage other road vehicles when you hit them, and your own car, as well as colliding with buses, tuktuks, shop fronts, market stalls, racing across railway lines before getting squashed by a diesel shunter, was fabulous fun, and I went back and did the episode twice more to see what I had missed. The construction of the game is about on par with the others in this genre, the ground textures, buildings, road vehicles, boats, weapons, etc, are all well made, the weather patterns include fighting in a monsoon, I'm sure I've done that before somewhere else, is well created, and for the small amount of money I spent for about 6 hours single player gaming I found was good value, I can go back and play various episodes when I like, although, you'll have to remember that collecting bullets and exchanging guns is a slightly different concept to the other game genre versions available, but, nothing that a veteran gamer can't handle, recommended for a lot of fun, rifle target practice with a difference.

Let's get one thing totally straight here right out of the blocks, when I first played Warfighter, I thought it was average. Nothing more, nothing less. A huge patch day one does not bode well, nor does a lack of review copies being sent out. I played because I had bought it, I work hard and money is tight so stuck by it probably more than I would have If I had money to burn. And, honestly I am so glad I did.I purposely put off this review until after I had played the latest in what is arguably the biggest FPS franchise right now, in the Call Of Duty Franchise, Black Ops 2. Activisions latest installment is a great game. I have added a review over there if you so wish to read it.I wanted to see if the pro reviewers were right, in that MOH is just a COD and Battlefield hybrid that delivers the thrills of neither of them. Were they right? Well no, no they weren't, not in the slightest. The truth be told, yes MOH is more paced at Battlefields levels. If you go Rambo style like you do on COD, you'll be mowed down in a blaze anything but glorified. COD is more fast paced, and it certainly is more of an Arcade game to this. More so, MOH may use the same engine as Battlefield 3 (it's not quite as pretty, but stay with me) but that's all it does do. You see, Warfighter isn't a hybrid of it's two main rivals, it is it's OWN game. Nearly every reviewer has attempted to compare it to these franchises and in turn, panned it. INJUSTIFIABLY!The fact is MOH Warfighter is it's own game. It doesnt try to be any of the other games, it was only other people thinking it should be like them that really lowered it's review score. After 24 hours solid online play, I can honestly and truthfully say, I have not touched BF3 for weeks, and as I type this, the date is the 16/11/12, Black Ops 2 has been out 3 days. I have completed it's single player, played around 6 hours online and have just today sold it on. I am hooked on Warfighter. Just bare with it, it might take a few hours, but it will consume you eventually. You will realize that FPS games don't end with BF3 or COD, and that there is room for a Warfighter. It's a grower, and one that will keep me consumed for months to come.If you find yourself a little tiresome with the others out there, just give it a go. You might just be surprised.

Ive been a fan of the MOH since inception on the PC. My favourite being MOH Pacific Assault.Ive never been one for the single player campaigns so I cannot comment on this one in particular at present. I go straight for the online multiplayer games. If you are into your COD series or simliar this game style will suit you. It is not as open, explorative or dpeendant on team specific skills as the Battlefield series. If you are a die-hard Battelfield fan then this game may not be for you. Ive adjusted form Bad Company 2 to this over recent weeks and I am enjoying it!There are several gamestyles you can choose from:-Deathmatch- simple just wipe each other out.Sector control- 3 "flags" whoever controls the most flags, for the most time wins. you can capture and lose flags throughout the whole time (10 mins)Combat mission- capture 3 flags in sequence, or defend depending on your team at the time- if you attack, you only have a finite number of spawns- for defending its limitless. If you like Batteflied "rush" games this might suit you!Hotspot- Random "flags" appear all over the map, you never now which one appears next so you need to be quick! each team must compete to get to the next flag and holdHome run- a bit like capture the flag, but you dont get respawns! you change sides at "half time" so good intensity and good realismCustoms:Lots and lots of custom weapons, you can change countries, classes, optics, muzzles, stocks, barrels, magazines, paint job etc etc its great to modify you own weapon to stand out or for what specs you like (agility vs range etc)Overall I am enjoying this game a lot, if you are liking COD series youll love this, if you are a die hard Battelfield fan then give it a try, persevere and youll love it!

Sorry to put this but i believe the negative reviews have been written by either COD or BF3 fans. the campaign is good , if not a little short - around 6 hours. multiplayer is great - it is however a little challenging to keep your K/D ratio up. Ok it hasnt got the worlds best graphics but theyre not bad - and the sound effects are great ( better than mw3 in both areas ). The campaign wont win any awards for originality but which war game would?People picking little faults or big ones for no reason - thats if some of them have even played it. ive played the campaign for a fair few hours and multiplayer for over 15 hours, never had any lag in a match or any other problems, thats more than can be said for most shooters. theres a lot to collect in this game ( medals / guns ) etc, so plenty of fun to be had.Maps are a comfortable size , between bf3 and cod , the fire team function works well ( where you can re ammo / health from your buddy without him having to drop a kit etc and hes highlighted in green so you can always see him ) and you get bonuses for sticking together. There are enough maps to keep the multiplayer interesting and enough games types to keep you playing. All in all its great , i wouldnt normally write such a harsh review towards other peoples comments but in the case of running this game down they are just outright wrong, really is no need for all the negativity, but then again we know Black ops 2 and bf4 will get 9/10 - 10/10 no matter how bad or the same they are as the last installment. So if you are open to try something different and not totally biased towards other shooters give it a try.

I have been playing this for a few hours now and I must say it is a lot of fun. I love BF3 but this is different. First of all the good. The maps, they are well made and help the game play flow. Not too big, but not too small. The guns. Once unlocked you will have such a choice it going to take time to find whats good for you. The sound. The guns sound excellent. Battlelog. It's as simple as using battlelog in BF3. Xbox 360 controller support. I hate using the keyboard and mouse. I have used a joystick/controller since having a ZX Spectrum/Master System/Atari Jaguar(!) 360. It is very easy to use on this game, easier than on BF3....I'm never last on the leader board when using the controller in this game,it feels very natural. There are however some bad things. Spawning. Many times I have spawned outside and even under the map....you can't get out! This needs sorting pronto. Frame rates. I don't know why but the game can slow/jerk about when playing. Now my system is old, I have an overclocked Q6600 @ 3.2ghz, two HD5750 in crossfire and 8GB DDR2 ram. Battlefield 3 run on this system on high settings nice and smooth. This game on the same settings, higher settings and even lower settings is not smooth for me. I don't know if it's a hardware or software issue but it is very annoying.I would say that it is worth getting this, it's great. I am not buying COD:BO2, I'm sick of COD games, stopped playing them after the APPALLING MW3. Your paying £45 for map packs!!If they get rid of the bugs this game will be even more fun.

I loved Medal of Honor 2010 and had great hopes for this game. When I upgraded to Windows 7 it was high on my list of games to try. I really expected to love it.Unfortunately, it didn't absorb me as much as its predecessor. It was a good idea to give the characters some depth by giving them home lives. However, I still wasn't sure who was who!I suffered a couple of glitches. However, buying a game late has its advantages. I was able to find solutions on line.1: Mission where no controls responded...Solution: Make sure you pass through first way point.2. First car chase: View defaults to side window. Only lets you look ahead when driving forward. Chase car goes off route (through shops!).Shut down game and go back to save point (This mission took ages because of this glitch. I never want to play it again).3. Screen goes black after second car chase: Reduce graphics to "Low". Play in windowed mode. I'm not sure if my copy would have suffered this glitch but I took pre-emptive action. The action is fun. The weapons feel meaty. Some come with infinite ammo (although you can always top up from squad mates on other weapons). It looks fantastic and ran smoothly on my moderate rig.My main gripe is wasting time on car chases. If I had wanted "Need for Speed", I wouldn't have bought a FPS. Nevertheless, I will play it again (but not the first car chase!!!)and the multiplayer is fun (but numbers of players are falling). Its stablemate Battlefield 3 looks very similar and offers a much better single player campaign.

This game i found really realistic on nvidia surround at resolution 3170x768 on medium settings(normal native resolution 5040x1050) sat back in my recliner about a meter away from the monitors,The fps was well above 60 and the game was flawless on my system of 3 x gtx 580 3gb. One of my favourite things about the game is the cover system on xbox controller wene you use the left shoulder button to look down your sights and lean anyway you want,it felt good and attached you more to the character that your playing i also got used to using the cover system were i felt i'd become an unstoppable virtual killing machine giving me that buzz we all crave the zone that grabs, sucks you in,smacks you abouta bit,and spits you out sweating and your heart going about 140 bpm and wanting to get back in for more punishment and at the same time wondering if you've got it in you.I also think the driving scenes are brilliant and are on a par to driving sim games such as need for speed and dirt2 which to me gave the game a feeling of realism and a feeling of really been there and gripped me that much i did'nt want to go to bed. As for the reviewers trolling the game i think there expecting too much from there system and should turn there resolution down as far as they can,put the settings to medium and sit further away from the monitors this i think would enable them to have a more immersive and enjoyable time.

I bought this as a preorder ,couldnt wait for it to come installed it which took ages as it has to install from ORIGIN (shame)ran ok untill I came to the end of finding Fazel which it went through ok untill the cut scene then it stopped and wont go to onto the next level. After looking on the Origin forum I noted 11 pages with at least 28 comments on each page with people experiencing the same problem .and no explanation save a couple which I found didnt work from other users but no remedy from origin or the game producers.Would I recommed the game ? when they sort out this bug yes but untill then NO !!!!!!!!!Well I spoke to EA (i think)and after speaking to him and explaining what issues I was having and told him many people were having the same problem and at the same point in the game ,he gave me some advice which I tried and it worked and am I pleased. Not a really difficult game but enjoyable none the less.If anyone else is having the same problems as I did ie game hangup at finding fazel cut scene try hitting ALT return at the same time but at the beginning of the game. Apparently it runs better on xp rather than vista etc .it goes to a smaller screen and shows the task bar but just reset tofull screen and it works fime. But call EA and they will helpI know its a pain but there you go.

This is just a short review of the single player campaign only as that is what I bought it for and then sold it on once I completed it a couple of times. Yes I liked it that much that I went back and completed on hard after firstly playing through on normal. The campaign is short about 5-6 hours so if you just want this for the sp experience it's far better to rent. The graphics (at least on sp campaign) are amazing, effects like the water and the rain at night look astounding. The story aint the best but the way the action flows through from 1 level to the next is great. There is also some neat sequences where you take control of a car and have to chase another car through the streets and market stalls.Gun play is really smooth and fluid controls seem intuitive especially the peek system where you hold one of the shoulder buttons on the pad and can then duck and lean (using the analogue stick) out of cover from prone to standing. I've mentioned how good I thought the graphics were well the sound is even better bullets fly past you and richochet around while explosions shake the room. If your looking for some single player campaign action then look no further. I can honestly say I put this game (SINGLE PLAYER CAMPAIGN) 2nd only to COD:4 MW, but be warned the sp campaign is awfully short lived.

Story (No spoilers)The story is written by soldiers who have experienced real war, lost the friends and see family's being pulled apart from it. If your looking for a game where every building blows up 8 airplanes crash and there's an infinite number of helicopters, airstrikes and reinforcements. Look elsewhereThe story is amazing, down to earth and believable. Story's don't get much better than this is FPS. You will see how being at war affects family life, while playing one of the best story's since COD4. Though it is a little short, it will entice you to keep playing and replaying the single player.Online:Again this doesn't contain 40 UAV's at once then a ac-130 + 3 helicopters and then super soldiers. The online here is you, your squad and the enemy team. First off the single player is a interesting twist to your conventional FPS through the eyes of a US S.E.A.L operative who's out of the navy and hoping to salvage his marriage, the game play hops between one of his missions to another S.E.A.L and cut scenes with his wife and flash backs. The level designs look brilliant and the graphics are stunning due to the graphic engine and there are hints of realism thanks to the military advisers on the game and you don't have a COD style everlasting enemy supply. The Multi-player is the crown jewel of this game and offers a huge amount of customization to the weapons such as their appearance and attachments with needing needing a perk to add on more than one. This is definitely a game you need to play with a friend to progress as Call of Duty gung ho tactics will not work and your K/D ratio will drive you mad.The Negatives is that it hasn't kicking on and developed its own identity it feels like it's recycled COD & BF 3 idea's and chucked them in and hope for the best, secondly there are bugs which really ruin the flow of the game & the multiplayer once this happens Warfighter will be a solid 4 as opposed to a strong 3.5 to a shaky 4.
