This lipstick is easy to apply and went on really smoothly. It lasted well, it's still there; I had to check because it didn't come off on my cup when I had a cup of coffee, which was a surprise, even long lasting lipsticks usually put some colour on the cup when you have a drink! The reason I have only given it 4 stars, though, is because my lips feel dry and a bit sore. I will try putting some of my Burt's Bees lip balm over the top and hope that doesn't make it come off.A word about the colour, I would not call this Cool Coral. Looking at the container, it looks a lot lighter than it actually is on the lips, I was expecting a pale peachy colour, but I would say that this is more of a brick red,a lot darker. If you look at the photographs on the listings page, I'd say it is more the colour that is shown on the lips rather than on the bottle. It's strange because I would not have used this lipstick had I seen it in the shops as I don't go for darker colours but when I put this lipstick on I thought that I really suited it without even any other makeup on, it seemed to light up my complexion, somehow. I ended up going to the shops wearing only this lipstick and I didn't feel like I looked ill like I usually do in the winter with no makeup on ;-). It will probably be a lipstick that I reach for when I just need to quickly pop out and don't want to bother putting my makeup on as well as with my usual eye makeup routine for dressed up. Good all rounder but I'll look for a glossy, more moisturising lipstick in this colour next time I need a new lipstick.

Red Allure - nice, dark red shade. For best results, I would suggest to apply 2-3 layers and wait a minute between them so they can dry.In my experience, it is best to apply it from the middle of your lip working your way towards the edge. I am wondering if a lip pencil might be a good addition to the use of this lipstick.It definitely stays on longer than other lipsticks. I would not say it lasts 24 hours though, for me it lasts about 4 hours which is still great and I am pleased with it.It survives my morning coffee with just slight pink shading on my mug (from my lip corners) as before I would leave big lip circles on every mug.Food wise, I bet that a light meal would be okay,from my experience - it did not survive a big greasy burger :DKissing - it survives a light kiss very easily, leaving no lipstick on my partner, which he is very happy about :)Don't think it would be like that on a proper make out session though.Another thing is that since it dries, it makes your lips feel dry. If you have naturally dry lips this lipstick might not work so well. I make sure to use lip balm when I am not using this lipstick as you can put dry lipstick on dry lips.To remove the lipstick, you will need a make-up remover or a lotion of sorts.It did not come sealed but as soon as I pulled it out it left a stain so I knew that no one has used it before. If the inside is clean - it's new, if you see lipstick stains on top - it has been used.Overall I am really impressed and will be buying more.

This is the first time I’ve used a red max factor lipstick (I usually stick to one trusted brand for red lipsticks), but thought I’d give this a go and see- and I’m so glad I did as I’ve been highly impressed with this.It arrived today so I’ve had it on throughout the day, which includes eating, drinking and talking, and it’s stayed perfectly in place, which I think most red lipsticks struggle to do.Comes in a lips gloss type tube with stick, so was slightly confused at first, but finished result does indeed come out the same way as a lipstick. Requires hardly anything to fully cover lips (I didn’t need to put the stick back in as it covered the full lips in one go).This is a very deep red lipstick so would advise putting it on slow to make sure it only ends up on the lips and not on your skin instead.Colour is very strong and stands out, definitely not a subtle colour, so has a beautiful bold look to it. Comes out completely Matte finish, however if you wanted a little gloss that would be fine to put over this. Doesn’t appear to dry lips out and feels quite soft and smooth on.Price of £10 seems a real bargain for something so bold and that withstands daily life without loosing its colour. I’ll certainly be buying another of these when this runs out. Happy to recommend.

Beautiful matte lipstick in red allure.Nicely designed bottle with 3.5ml in. There are no clear edges, thus showing the bottle has a decent amount in.Lovely wand to work with. Collects a nice amount of lipstick, so it's worth scraping a little off first before use. Leaves very nice, clear, defined lines around the mouth, meaning there is no need for lip liner!Absolutely gorgeous lipstick to use. A very nice, smooth, velvety and creamy formula, glides across the lips beautifully. Some patches looked lighter than other so I did two coats. This felt lovely on the lips. Very easy to rub them together without feeling like you're going to smudge it somewhere it shouldn't be!This dries very nicely.It passed the kiss, food and drink test, taking only the inner lip. This was a little disappointing but topping it up in only that area, I found it blended really easily and still looked great.The colour is absolutely divine, it looks incredible on whether you're wearing foundation or not, it doesn't look overpowering or too dark, it just looks stunning.I would recommend this for its beautiful matte effect and creamy formula. I just wish it withstood the inner lip a bit more. The colour and look is worth it!

I have really dry lips so finding a gloss that moisturises my lips but doesn't "overmoisturise" or dry them out is hard. This mattifying gloss is perfect - it feels great on, lasts hours and is very flattering.Pros:- Pigmented and vivid pink colour with orange undertones- Velvety texture, not too greasy or thick- Stains lips and lasts hoursCons:- Transfers to teeth if you don't let it dry before talkingI really like this lip gloss. It doesn't make my skin look too pale and compliments my skin naturally. The texture is perfect too - it's not too tacky and not too glossy either. It makes my lips feel nice and moisturised, and has a good, precise applicator tip which means it's easy to line the lips and it doesn't overload with product either.It also lasts ages - even in the rain I found my lips had withstood the weather!All in all, the gloss is really complimentary. I'd recommend this to anyone as an everyday wear or a couple of coats for a striking look on a night out. I really like it and the fact it doesn't dry my already dry lips out is a huge bonus.

A red lipstick always completes my look, whether I'm going out, or just day-to-day at work, and i'm still working on finding my perfect red. This is one of the top ones.This has a slight orange undertone to it, so it's not a true red, with a blue undertone, which I normally prefer, however, it works very well. It's a matte formula, and quite a drying formula at the same time. It dries down very quickly, and I didn't notice any tackiness after applying.I did find that it wore away slightly on the very corners of my lips, after lunch, so it did need a touch up. Apart from that, it did last brilliantly through a 10 hour shift at work, whilst eating and drinking at my desk.I am not sure if it would withstand a vigorous kissing session, however, it didn't transfer while eating/drinking, or to the tips of my fingers when testing it, so I'm confident it will stay put reasonably well, without ending up all over your other half.This will be staying in my red lipstick collection as one definitely to continue wearing.

I love the colour of this as it's quite subtle and dries slightly more salmon pink than shown so is very versatile for me as is suitable for more casual day-wear or for something more glamorous with some gloss on top as it has a nice depth to it. It dries very nicely into a matte finish and isn't sticky or over glossed, so it feels quite nice to wear but can benefit from some extra hydration if your lips aren't already very well exfoliated and hydrated before hand. 24 hours is a push for anything on your lips to be fair unless you've taken a vow of silence and don't speak or eat or drink or lick your lips for 24 hours but compared to many it's very long lasting as stated,stays put and is easy to apply with the wand. This is at the higher end of what I like to spend on lip colour for just general/everyday wear but worth it for the quality and this is the third shade I've tried in this range having been really pleased every time, so would definitely recommend trying if you're looking for a good matte finish.

Colour is obviously going to be based on personal preference, I actually like the plum kind of shade (another reviewer has posted a photo and her mouth shape is a lot nicer than mine, so look at that - good indication of the true colour).Because this is matte and long lasting, I always make sure I've used balm or something on my lips beforehand, while I'm doing my normal make up. Otherwise this can be a little drying during the day.But it lasted during breakfast and lunch, a little faded as I had mayo in my sandwich so I think anything fatty affects it. No way would it last 24 hours but it's certainly good for the average day and there were still remnants which I had to take off with cream at night.It doesn't come off with my normal micellar cleanser so there's proof of its longevity!A reasonable price for a well known and respected brand, but I expect it's on promotion in various places so try looking around. Very good quality overall.

I think the image in the product photograph gives a reasonable impression of the light salmon/coral colour tone of this Max Factor Posh Pink matte liquid lipstick. It's not for everyone, but for the right occasion and with the right outfit, it can set off a look really well, giving an air of sophistication. It's not quite as dramatic as a glossy red lipstick, but a little more subtle than that.As always you have to take the all-day/long-lasting with a pinch of salt. It is long lasting as long as you aren't eating or wiping your mouth, both of which are hard not to do for a 12 hour period, so you'll obviously need to reapply or touch up,. The sponge applicator allows you to do this evenly and precisely.There's no noticeable smell or flavour to the lipstick, although being matte, it does feel a little dry.Overall, this is a good quality reasonably long-lasting liquid lipstick that I would certainly try again in other shades.

Max Factor’s Lipfinity Velvet Matte Lipstick in Red Allure is very long lasting. It looks like a tube of lip gloss, it has a small shaped does foot soft applicator for precision application, this particular shade is a deep dark red, with a lot of pigment. I would recommend applying a lip pencil first then filling in with this lipstick for an even easier method of applying it so it looks fab and stays put. It dries super quick on lips and yet doesn’t dry out lips, it doesn’t come off onto cups or glasses and mine survived a three course dinner. It does come off though with make up remover lotion or wipe. I really like these Lipfinity ranges of lipsticks, this is my third all are great to use and long lasting.I’ve added some photos including a colour comparison of this shade and another red in the range, to show you the difference, as I know how difficult it can be buying lipsticks online, I hope my review is helpful to you.

Max factor has been around for years and I love the stuff but find I don’t often have it in my make up bag because of the cost but if you can afford it then you certainly get what you pay for with Max Factor.Max Factor Lipfinity Velvet Matte Lipstick, Matte Merlot, 3.5 ml - the colour is to die for, so rich, so glossy and stands out from the crowds.I normally only go for liquid lip gloss rather then lip sticks but I found this one was excellent I felt that it gave you more control over the way you wanted your lips to look.Very comfortable it felt lightweight on your lips not heavy, it did last but not the full 24 hours as stated,the smell and the taste was ok but I just find over time it did fade especially after drinking.I would recommend using a lip gloss on top to make it last longer or a lip balm before.Very easy to use, mess free and comes off easily with make up remover.

I'm not a fan of matt lipsticks but thought I'd try this - very surprised, as it wasn't drying at all and just gave that velvet look on my lips. And, thank goodness, not all sticky and gooey. Such a lovely, true red too - not like the photo they've shown at all. Think pillar boxes, pomegranate seeds, red traffic lights - nothing orangey or garish or shocking. Not deep burgundy red either. I've added photos which I hope shows the more accurate red, including against my natural top lip to show the contrast.At the price, I'd expect it to last and it does, unless you eat oily or greasy food and even then it only disappears from the inside of your lips.Perhaps not the full 24 hours but I had to remove it at night with a cream cleanser as micellar water doesn't shift it, so that proves its worth really.Definitely recommend this - please click the button below if my review is helpful!

I really quite like this Max Factor Lipfinity Velvet Matte Lipstick, I wasn’t really expecting to, as I’m not a fan of lip glosses applied in the same way, mainly because they’re too shiny, so this matte version is ideal for me. It’s easy to apply from the stick, though I would say I’m more accurate with a normal lipstick but maybe it’s because I’m not used to this type of application.On my lips it came out an nice natural salmon pink colour, nothing in your face, so I’m wearing it for work, as it looks quite natural and understated, also will be great for summer for the natural barely there look.I didn’t find it lasted all day, but it does last for a good few hours (if I don’t eat),and I’m happy with that. Price point is about average and I think it will last for a good long time as I’m not an avid applicator. So really nice solid product that looks good when worn.
