Wow....what can I say solid, walking stick, monopod, light, heavily weight bearing.i have a canon 6d,with a sigma 150-600mm screwed on my monopod.this is my first monopod,in comparison to tripods,.I initially hated it,because when I was using it ,I could not keep it still,so I kept the stabilization mode on....second time around getting to Richmond park,a ARMY?,of photographers where seen ,majority of them with monopods(not saying their all manfrottos), carrying the body's over there shoulders ready to shot ,and move, not having to worry, other concerned about balancing/leveling/checking the right height levels.....everything is set up already. The only thing I can say bad about manfrottos is their customer service ,being none existent, thus loosing one star....Warning ,when you make a purchase the bottom come with a rubber leg support....don't be like me ,and leave it in on the job outside, you'll loose it...screw in tightly the spike.unfortunatly for me I can't seem to replace it easily.Last thing .I had my tripod also, and it's best for your macro photography,or staying in one place taking herds, and panning for shots

My second Manfroto monopod. My previous one lasted nigh on 9 years, and would have lasted longer had I not damaged it. This one feels as if it will last as long. A little on the heavy side, but compact when folded and just the right height when opened fully. The price was reasonable. I like the choice of foot. It not as quick to open as my last, 3-section monopod, but that's balanced by the fact that it fits in my camera backpack. I nearly gave it 4-star on the balance of weight/price but then I prefer it being robust to flimsy. Just right for me.UPDATED: I've noted that other users have complained of the rubber foot falling off. I checked mine to find that it too was loose.I've added a bit of Locktite thread locker on it. I'll check it regularly from now on.

I am dissabled and in my younger days used to use a great big Manfroto heavyweight tripod, cans carry one of those around nowdays, I went with the Manfroto brand, I used to be a professional photographer and relied on Manfroto products for their durability they will never let you down, this was great, it came with a ground spike and a rubber foot, it is a really long pod, I purchased the ball and socket extra head as it only comes with a flat base to screw the camera onto, I used it last year at the Fairford air show, and used some powerfully lenses on my camera, the results were great, they would have all had camera shake if I hadn’t got this monopod, great piece of kit worth having if you want to travel light.

I got this monopod for shooting with my 150-600mm lens. Although there are much cheaper monopods out there I wanted something that could handle a heavy lens and this didn't disappoint. It's a very smart looking monopod and seems well made (as you would expect with a Manfrotto product). Once extended the legs are firmly locked by the twisting mechanism. This is a much better arrangement than the clip locks you find on cheaper monopods (and which have a tendency to break). It comes with two attachments for the bottom end, a metal spike for use outside and a hard rubber foot for use indoors. All in all this is a great product but I've deducted a star because I think it's relatively expensive forwhat it is.

Used it during Farnborough Airshow 2018, folds into very compact length - 41.5cm - fits inside a normal backpack, it's very light at around 550g, and yet very sturdy. I mounted a Manfrotto ball head onto it and setup EASILY coped with a Nikon D750 + Sigma 150-600mm lens + Sigma 1.4x TC. Comes with both rubberized and metal bottom spikes. Reversible mounting screw - 1/4" at one end, 3/8" at the other and can be switched round by hand, no tools needed. The twist locks are smooth with a reassuring locking click. Allen wrench also provided, presumably to tighten head locking screw.Excellent value for the money paid.

Found this to be a brilliant Monopod. It’s both very well made and sturdy and easy to use. This is now my ‘Go To’ item every time do any photography and unlike tripod I take it as so much easier. It’s great for any photography we’re you don’t need Very long exposure (I have used up to 1” and was fine). This monopod has made all my pictures much more focused as using an 18-150.I use this on a Canon EOS M50 with an ARCA Mount and it’s perfectly. One thing would recommend as use with a wrist strap on camera rather than a neck strap (at least this worked for me with M50 unsure about bigger Mirrored DSLR’s)

An excellent monopod which is both lightweight and sturdy. A necessity if using a 500 mm lens if for nothing else but saving the strain on your arms! The screwthread will screw directly into the camera but a separately purchased head is advised for quick attachment of lenses/camera. Some might prefer quick release clips but while the 'turn to tighten' fixtures can slow down assembly they do reduce the risk of accidental release. The pole is of a reasonable height but could be taller in order to give the extra height needed if using alongside steps - press photographers will know exactly what I mean.

I've had this "pod" out and about for a little while now and, I must say that I'm delighted with it.It is very sturdy, even at full extension, which instills confidence that I can reduce the shutter speed for greated depth of field without the need for a cumbersome tripod. My one, very minor, niggle is that I would have liked a cap on the screw top a) for comfort when using it as a substitute walking pole and b) to protect the thread of the screw from damage when dropped. OK, so I shouldn't be clumsy!

I use this monopod to support a Nikon 200-500 zoom lens for bird and nature photography. Topped with a simple tilt head it makes a very versatile and light tool, which operates a bit a gimbal head at the fraction of the cost. Obviously not the same because the tilt head is a little stiff but this combination 100% suits me and my style of photography I use it also for landscape photography and it does fine except for the slowest shutter speeds, where solid tripod is de rigeur.

A well built and compact monopod. It feels heavy in hand when retracted but not so much when extended. It is sturdy and does not flex when extended and locked off correctly. I like the twist lock mechanism, and the convertible foot rubber or metal spike option. Attaching a camera is simple "just screw it into your camera fitting". The grip is pretty chunky but very comfortable. The extended height of the stated 150cm is just right at max extension for my height (I'm 5ft 9")

I used this whilst on safari in South Africa. Was very useful maintaining a stable camera on a large truck going up and down bumpy dirt tracks and roads. The monopod comes with two ‘feet’, one metal one useful for soft ground and a rubber one. Pleased with the monopod - although I did notice after the fifth/sixth time of use that I had lost the rubber foot. This made it not quite so effective on the truck. I need to find a replacement somewhere.

Overall a very good product. I wasn't sure from the product description if the locking mechanism would be easy to use. But it is, and actually better than the clamp levers on my Manfrotto tripod. Separate spike foot looks useful, but will need something to cover it when walking around.I bought it for the small minimum size (and light weight). Fine on both counts. 150cm height fullly extended was a slight concern, but fine in practice (I'm 6ft).

Does the business.... quality item... one thing that is a pain is the thread on the screw in base foot is M8x1.25P.. would have been ideal if it was imperial, so I could use adapters to extend the flexibility of the mounting, ie, add a small tripod on the base to aid stability.. but I’m unable to source a M8 thread to 1/8” thread male converter... change the base thread and it would be perfect...

Well made sturdy and compact monopod. Can be easily and quickly extended to the height required and is strong enough for the heaviest of camera and lens combinations. I use mine with Manfrotto Monopod Tilt Head with Quick Release which has proved a good combination. The monopod is light enough and small enough to be carried on a camera bag all day.

Good monopod, The spike is great and the size is really handy I have older Monopods including a bigger Manfrotto one but that is just a pain to carry this fits in my camera bag and is there when needed it is never going to replace a good tripod but it is handy when you need that extra bit of support without the bulk and weight.
