I got this saw for the list of jobs I had to do, and although maybe it is a bit “too pro” for me I am glad I got it. I have other Makita tools, and because the same batteries can be used in all it seemed like a better idea to keep within the system.Performance wise this is excellent, and I like the brake feature which improves the safety element. It clears the dust away well from the cutting area so you can see where you are going, and the light works well too. The 57mm cutting depth handles pretty much everything you need to do, and I think if you were doing big stuff regularly you would have a bigger saw anyway.For me it is great and highly recommended.

I never have used a circular saw much as the power cable was a hinderance but wow this little baby is such a delight to use. It's light,quiet,very versital and punches well above it's size. gives a very quick, clean cut even when being used at max cutting depth on the straight or on an angle. I wish that they were available when I bought my Bosch corded one. There is no comparison of the versitility of this machine against the Bosch. Happy teddy

As with all Makita tools, this is an excellent quality piece of kit. I already had the batteries for other tools, so this was a very good buy. I cannot rate the LXT range highly enough, and even though I am used to the power of all my other gear, I was surprised at how easily this cuts through timber. Don't buy cheaper inferior quality power tools, you will only end up buying twice. Highly recommend this saw

Great little saw I've tried loads of cordless skill saws and this one leaves them all behind .If you need a saw with amazing battery life and cuts through most things like a hot knife this is the one .I used it to cut a load of yarrow wood railway sleepers and this didn't miss a beat i can't praise this saw enough .

Great bit of kit without the hastle of a power lead dragging behind! The blade stops spinning the moment that you release the trigger. Also is great for plunge cutting, especially when used for click flooring. Don't think about one, go ahead and buy one as you will not be disappointed.

This is another Makita gem. It is neat, compact and lightweight but it packs a lot of power.All the adjustment controls are easy, making it quick to see what you're doing. I love the little spotlight on the cutting point, for instance.An excellent tool at a good price.

Does exactly what it says and with style and safety.Yes it is expensive but it works and looks like it will lastLove the 18v system and have quietly built a collection of tools.Wonder why I bought other brands that disappoit and or fall apart.

Usual Makita hugh quality and quiet in operation compared to my old Draper saw. Works with the 18v battery system.Highly recommended saw but shop around as prices vary wildly. I bought from Howe Tools and was very pleased with the price

Get one.. I needed a new saw, this was a great price and can't fault it. Now purchased a Makita drill, batteries can be used across the range. The company are recognised as a Makita dealer, so online three year guarantee.

Very quiet on startup, cuts through the wood very easy when the blade depth is set up correctly, blade angle and depth is very easily set also the cut line is easily followed throughout the cut

Light to carry but by no means light-weight in power. Very handy for site-work. Buying a new blade and a 5AH original battery helps. A good workhorse

Most of my power tools are Makita cordless. Should have bought one of these years ago. So easy to use, and the best bit, it's portable!

Well wat can I say it is makita well made. And it came with 2 5milliamp battery's and was only expecting 1 so bargain all-round ??????

Amazing value for this Makita saw, may want to buy some more blades as this is so adaptable to sawn wood to Cabinet making
