Slick and easy to use mitre saw, it has a quality feel to it with a wide cutting base (305 mm)a laser light beam and extra light covering the bladed area when working in slightly darkened areas, it transports easily as it is not too bulky (i keep in my boot ). As a Carpenter i like this saw for all of the above reasons but also the cost makes this model of particular value and Metabo have bigger models to step up to if required.

I bought this machine when my last compound saw finally let me down . I have bought Metabo before , and I am still using a hammer drill that is now over twenty years old .The compound saw is nicely made and very crisp and accurate out of the box . The inbuilt light and laser line are very useful . The table indexes smoothly .I wish I had bought one of these years ago .Definately one of my favourite tools

Bought for £122 on special. It's a Chinese saw worth maybe £150 at a push. Quality has deteriorated since going green. Horrible start verging on violent. Needed almost no setting up which is unusual. Probably last 3 - 5 years. Register product on site for free 3 years warranty. If you want more precision buy a Dewalt or Festool but for sub £150 It's the best 216mm saw on the market.

I've been very impressed with this saw, though I haven't really used it all that much yet. It seems to be accurately made and produced very neat, accurate cuts. The illumination lamp and the laser cutting line are very useful. One small gripe would be that the sawdust seems to go everywhere except into the collection bag, but that's a small price to pay.

I wanted to lay a wooden floor and I knew my old mitre saw would not be up for the task. After much research the choice was pay a little more for a quality saw or risk going for a cheaper saw that might not be that accurate. I am so glad I paid the little bit extra. The quality and accuracy were perfect as was the cut.Would thoroughly recommend

Some parts like the screws and slide for 45% feel cheap and it is very limited on depth at 45% 36mm but its fine for skirting which is what I bought it for. I will be changing the blade supplied for a better/finer one. All in all a very nice saw for the price the light and laser are very useful as well for those poorly lit places on site.

I haven't used it yet but I have so much confidence in Metabo that I know it will do the job. I've been in tool and machinery sales for 30+ years and it's the brand I prefer to stick with. If you're looking for extreme precision and can afford it maybe Festo. Delicate and not a workhorse. Metabo can handle it.

As a chippy I love this saw , had it for over five years now with heavy daily workloads and it’s been faultless , accurate , lightweight and does everything a £500 saw will do, I’d choose this over the cheap plastic feel of the festool every time and I’m just about to buy a new one as she’s getting tired now ?

Great value, really like the carrying handle and the saw is not heavy. Laser light works well but I keep leaving it on! Only thing that doesn't work great is the sawdust collection bag which must say a lot! Cuts grooves as well as slide / chop. Clamp is a good design as it can be fitted or removed with ease.

I'm a carpenter and dont have a lot of room in my van and this is so compact and so precise the laser is superb and the leds light up the workpice so well . The one hand carry of this saw and lightweight body makes it a fantastic all rounder top marks to the engineering of this item spot on

This is a very good quality product. Cutting is precise, easy and aided by a light and laser. It is sturdy and easy to use. I recommend this product.

Used over the weekend, so far so good, cuts through wood with ease and makes the job much easier and faster
