The saw is very lightweight, but still feels sturdy.I was a little sceptical buying this saw after some of the reviews I've read about cuts not being straight, so the first thing I checked was how straight the cut was. Right out of the box the setup is fairly good, the difference between the middle of the blade to the bottom was about 0.5 mm, which means the cut is ever so slightly out.I therefore decided to adjust the saw to get a completely straight cut. This is where I ended up having a small issue. The adjusting screw is secured by a bolt, and unfortunately I was unable to adjust the bolt with a wrench as there is no spanner with the saw, but the bold wouldn't move and instead wore down the bolt.

I was building a fence and decided it would speed things up if i bought a mitre saw since there was going to be a lot of cutting. Im not someone that does DIY often (hence not already owning one) so really wasnt sure what I was going to get when I ordered.I bought this because it was cheap enough to do the job and if it didnt seem up to much after at least it had served its purpose.I have to say Im pleasantly surprised by this purchase.It set up easily, the saw cut quickly and accurately and I know this will last for many more projects. This thing made light work of many bits of fencing and managed to cut all the angles i needed.Its worth noting that the video I watched on this product page shows a different version of this (it doesnt have a laser etc)

I recieved this saw as a Christmas present and have just used it to make a new sash for a wooden casement window. It makes the cuts very accurately but be warned!!!!!..........You MUST calibrate ALL the cutting angles before you start to use it for any project. All the relevant adjustment screws are there so please don't assume the 90 degree or 45 degree settings are correct out of the box. You will need good quality combination squares to check that the cuts are accurate before you start. Being a retired tradesmen, I find this perfect for home use as I am now retired. I would consider something more robust to use on site if I were still working full time as a carpenter/joiner.

I bought the tool to cut skirting boards. As received, the saw did not cut square - the primary reason for obtaining such a device. Even after adjusting the stop rail to its limit, the cut squareness was unacceptable. I contacted the UK agent, who said if I made any adjustments, it would invalidate the warranty, and the Amazon dealt with the warranty. Time was of the essence, so I had no time to get the unit exchanged, and, by the various reviews, this is a common problem, so I elongated the fixing holes of the stop rail, to enable further adjustment. This fixed the matter, producing square cuts. The mitre function was OK. Just to add to my discontent, I saw that the local B&Q had a similar machine on offer for £99.

Good all rounder in this price bracket, supplied blade has tackled a complete wooden shed custom build, cladding on both sides of a house and still managed a kitchen build and laminate flooring before giving up the ghost.Machine itself is louder than some but earplugs are essential when working with mitre saws so this is no bother to me. Sturdy build with good features for this price.It has lasted 3 months so far with no problems except the common issue with the laser. Useless in daylight and even if visible the sawdust blocks it with one cut.Recommend for the mid range user for any home DIY and beyond. Very capable.I will be watching this brand for other tools!

This was the cheapest double bevel mitre saw I could find, I am very glad I took a punt on it, having previously used a festool mitre saw at work.Although this isn't as good as the festool, for the price point you can not go wrong, easy to set up, plenty of power, accurate cuts, wish I had bought this sooner as its such a great tool for the money and comes in so handy for a variety of DIY work at home.The only thing to be aware of with this is that the screw that holds the blade in is a reverse threaded screw, so to remove the blade you have to unscrew clockwise instead of anti-clockwise.Not much else to say except its a great tool and great value for money.

Very happy with this product as it's cheap and simple to operate but I do have some issues though. Firstly it has no adjustments for reach which means I cannot chop thick wood as it can't fit under the saw. Secondly the material on the plastic covering on the blade is a bit cheap and flimsy and once when the saw jammed on a piece of wood the cover cracked almost. To chop the smaller and lean pieces of wood, however, the tool is very handy. Very quick and very sharp. The dust bag is a tad bit smaller too. So far it's being put to good use and has done the job ok. Also, every time wood got stuck the base moved a bit and the round black thingy isn't straight anymore

very pleased so far with this tool for the price paid. Able to perform my tasks with great ease and efficiency. Having a double bevel saved time when cutting left and right angles. Rge unit is supplied with one piece of board clamp and I think there should be two it is required for to hold down the cut piece other side, I had to use my hand instead, which was rather worrying for such a powerful tool. The dust was not all going into the bag which was disappointing, I did not use a dust collection machine so this will be another purchase especially when it comes to cutting MDF! (Remember masks and eye protection MUST be worn - HSE directive)

The saw itself is perfect for what I want. One star dropped because the Laser Line didn't work on arrival. Would not be a problem if Amazon would do something reasonable about it. They won't. Only a full refund, or an exchange for another item is offered. Neither suits me. I therefore contacted Einhell Spares and ordered a replacement part at just under £17 (thanks to a 10% discount).PS Be aware also that, as with all such machines, the dust collection bag is useless. It fills in less than 30 seconds, after which sawdust goes everywhere. I'd strongly recommend a workshop vacuum. I'm ordering one, but possibly not from Amazon!

Very happy with this!!Bought to make 8 box planters for the garden/balcony, and have had to make 300+ cuts with it. For the price it’s fantastic. I think it’s an great purchase for DIY jobs around the house. It’s compact so will be easy to store. Cuts seem pretty precise and quick. Have only tried 90° on timber so far though.Things to note: it’s super loud, the dust collector bag probably collects less than 1% or the refuse, but I wouldn’t let this put you off. Don’t understand the comments people are making about the blade guard breaking… hasn’t happened to me… yet.

It’s hard to fault this for the money. You need to spend a bit of time making sure it’s properly set up before you use it but once that’s done it’s a great piece of kit. The dust collection bag doesn’t do much so I have connected a vacuum cleaner to the outlet instead. It doesn’t catch everything but it gets most of the sawdust. One thing I have found is that the laser sometimes gets covered in sawdust so you have to give it a brush every now and then but this is no.big deal. Wish I’d bought one sooner.

I have recently purchased a Einhell TC-SM2131chop saw. I find the English imfo data very difficult to understand and need to know how the saw blade releases itself . The current position is to allow saw to sit in lowest height position for siting in its carriage box but I cannot get it to release itself I.e. The blade is sited in the bevel slot and will not allow any movement . I have tried their Uk office but they are sales staff. Can any UK purchaser give me advise. Regards David Davies

Very good saw for the price. I really recommend it for home use. Especially for the price tag and the basic but good functionalities.My only critics are:- the base tends to rotate a little bit as there is no lock (at least I did not find it yet) so you have to check regularly the horizontal angle or you will not have a right angle cut but 89 or 91 degrees- the evacuation of the dust is not compatible with Kaarscher vacuumOverall it is a very good quality for that price.

Bought this to complete a project cutting and fitting skirting boards. The unit is sturdy and well made. Adjustment is easy and the cuts are precise. My skirting boards were 125mm, 5mm above maximum listed cutting width but the saw cut them perfectly. One word of warning, make sure you set the turntable accurately and the cuts will be perfect, you will also need to reposition the clamp to get to a full 45 degree inclined cut for corners.

Excellent value saw. Solid build quality and more than accurate enough for the home DIY enthusiast. Previous reviews highlighted an issue with the dust bag, I have no issue Sv with this, the bag captures more that 70-80% of the dust. I’m sure that would be improved with using a shop vacuum. The laser is a great guide to ensuring the accuracy of the cuts. Slight tearing on the timber but this is to be expected with a heavy toothed blade.
