I've had the same model for some 2 years now and its a great drill, I needed a second drill and I already have three batteries so this makes a cheap second drill, the quality is very good and in my opinion out classes Dewalt by far, if you need an additional Makita combi drill this is the one provided you already have the correct compatible charger and a spare battery however if you don't have a spare battery your looking at an additional charge of from £30 plus depending on the battery capacity...still very cheap, make sure the drill body is compatible with your existing kit before ordering....

I own this and I also own the better spec'd DHP458 which is a great drill BTW but this is my favourite makita drill it is the one I practically always go to pick up out the two - WHY? Because it's lighter and with a small 1.5 ah battery you really can use it all day without it tiring you especially if it's overhead use. Roughly £40 without a battery is a bargain this drill is very well screwed together and feels quality and solid. End of the day I will probably sell my DHP458 on and just keep this. Only bummer is no LED but I can live with that.

Purchased recently to assist with some urgent DIY tasks. Generally very happy with what I received. However, I would note that the item received varied quite markedly from that illustrated. No drill bits were part of the package, but a second battery was. The label on the side clearly matched that of the product code online. This didn’t cause too much issue as I had bits from another drill that had broken, and the second battery was very helpful. This may be an oddity, but be mindful,

Argos does it again, I reserved the Drill, collected in Pontardawe Store, and home with item in less that 20 mins. It was well packaged, a good sturdy Case. I put the drill on charge, and it was charged in 20 minutes. Its a very powerful drill, and the 101 tools are well placed inside the lid of the Case with a protective Plastic cover.. The case also has a spare storage place for an additional Batterie Pack. I used it to build a wooden picket fence, and it worked like a dream.

I was fed up having to continually find my drill, then my drill bits, then my screwdriver bits. When I saw this Makita drill and all the accessories it came with, I was very happy. Now I only need to find 1 box. The 4.0Ah battery is excellent too and powerful enough for what I need. I was a little concerned that this item was refurbished, however it looks new. Based on my experience, I can highly recommend this product.

A makita is a makita- an electric drill like no other. Its perfect for any DIY enthusiast- not heavy to hold, works great and doesn't take long to charge. This is a great set as it comes with a bunch of useful accessories (like a spirit level) and a ton of drill bits so your drill will be ready for just about any job.

my last drill lasted a good 10 years (A E G) thought i would try the makita, fitted 6 doors - battery running well on 2 bars, quite light for a combi drill. button for direction left/right to easy to move should be slightly stiffer. apart from that very good drill.

I looked at a few units before deciding on this one. Excellent bit of kit for the money with all you need for the diyer . Just finished putting fencing up and it never faultered. Quick charge on battery at about an hour but never got below two bars

This drill is robust and powerful and is versatile enough for any drill or driver task. It also comes fully equipped with a wide range of accessories neatly stored inside the case so I only ever need to take one case with me wherever I am.

I’ve always used DeWalt but finally decided to defect to Makita. I’m not disappointed. A brilliant drill with masses of power and battery life. A friend who is a fitter uses one for his work and recommend it. Argos was a great price.

i am getting on in years all i can say is i wish i had purchased this years ago as so far it has done all the jobs that i have asked it to do and being disabled it makes easy the work i could not do before

Easy to use. Very handy, you can do pretty much everything. If you have it, you will save a lot of time. You want to put an curtains? EASY. Your TV on wall? EASY. this kit should be in each every home :)
